It's great when it works
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to make polling slides on PC or Mac. My clients like the keypads vs attendees using their phones.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that TP doesn't always function correctly depending on the type of PowerPoint update. TP will work great, but after a small Microsoft update to PowerPoint, TP will not display graphs correctly, or the clock animation doesn't work. I use rental laptops, so I don't have control over the version of PowerPoint updates. MOST of the time, the system works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gets the audience engaged, and the system also provides feedback (via evaluations) on presenters. I know who is being impactful and relevant. It creates a better experience for the attendees, which is the ultimate goal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be mindful of PowerPoint updates
Inkling is the only choice for legacy documentation
What do you like best about the product?
The Habitat environment makes collaboration and development easy for everyone regardless of their technical skills. After product training, production started immediately and we published content in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more Widgets for text only. Sometimes the content doesn't have a visual equivalent and needs to be presented in an appealing way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users can access the content anytime, anywhere without going to a face-to-face training. Besides the potential cost-saving benefits, the information is no longer limited to those who attend the session.
Also, updating and publishing the content is easier than ever before to ensure everyone has the latest version. This eliminates confusion and gives users confidence because they know the content is accurate.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use authouring tool. Ability to add custom styles and widgets
What do you dislike about the product?
Limted intergration and customisation options at present. E.g. custom reader app and Rest API
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing time off the roster for staff to complete training. Meet expecrarion of new generation of learners
Completely changed the we do training!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use development interface (Habitat). No HTML experience required to create rich, interactive mobile materials. Deployment via mobile devices is genius with little to no training required to use. Distribution rules allow for restricting the library without complexity. API's make for easy LMS integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
User administration on a large scale can be improved. I would like to see a user-export feature from Habitat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created a way to pull the sales collateral together to build a story around our marketing tools and training. For our external use, we have found a way to provide updated training materials to our customers in an easily searchable, on-demand format. We are saving more in print costs than what it costs to provide this platform while enhancing the customer training experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Inkling is easily scalable from small to large numbers and has multiple potential use cases. If you are looking to create mobile materials but don't have a team of app developers, this is the tool. The customer success team at Inkling is with you every step of the way in implementation.
good information
What do you like best about the product?
easy to use, i find it as a great tool..
What do you dislike about the product?
so far no dislikes, i am able to get the job done
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
benefits is that it's always up to date and great program
Good, but has gotten more expensive
What do you like best about the product?
We used Turning Point for years, but recently switched to iClicker (formerly called Reef Polling). I liked the straightforward usability of Turning Point. Before smartphones became ubiquitous, their physical clickers were reliable and cheap. I liked the ability to integrate with our learning management system automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like many companies Turning Point has moved away from sales and toward leasing a license for their product. The cost for this license became too high for our students and we were forced to change over to Reef Polling, now called iClicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Turning Point to keep attendance, maintain student interest in large lectures, and easily score in-class quizzes. I mainly used the multiple choice option, but did occasionally use some of the more exotic options for answers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore all the options. There may be something better that works for you at your price point.
Turning Point is a great anonymous survey tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the clickers can be used in meetings without having to identify participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the newest version, the clickers each need to be licensed, and the license only lasts a year. Otherwise, you cannot collect and analyze the responses in certain ways (i.e. per user).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the TurningPoint system to survey clientele during meetings.
In Touch with the Modern Learner
What do you like best about the product?
Inkling's approach and methodology to the modern learner fills the gap in an industry that is overrun with the next best thing. From sales to implementation the level of transparency and trust is pervasive throughout the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all implementations, things take time. This is not a fault of Inkling, just my own impatience to see it all come together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our learners and leaders do not possess up-to-date training at their fingertips. Inkling has allowed us to pull the best training forward to the people that matter most in our organization.
Easily accessible content
What do you like best about the product?
Inkling is the perfect solution for making content easily available to a wide variety of users. It is easy to include all sorts of media to easily distribute material to everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile application has been a bit difficult for some users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One stop place for users to find information. Eliminates the need for multiple Sharepoint or Wiki sites.
Inkling: Enabled the modernization of our learning experience
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based responsive content development and distribution was new to my organization. Because Inkling does both, we now provide a modern experience of timely information to targeted audiences based on distribution rules. Template driven, heavy use of built in patterns and widgets (some of which are custom) make it easy for novice developers "authors" to create new projects. Because content is dynamically indexed, our users can easily find the content needed through contextual searches and type-aheads. There is a caveat, see below.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any new company or product, there is always room for improvement. As the business product owner of Inkling, it has been a challenge managing project activity from an oversight perspective and I'm forced to generate utilization reports outside of the product's "Insights" tool via 3rd party BI tools. In addition, I'm left in want for end-user print functionality, content rating system, and better translation/localization support. All said, Inkling has been a great partner and I'm excited to see their road-map enhancements come to fruition over the coming months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A large percentage of our workforce learns shoulder-to-shoulder. By leveraging Inkling and tablets, we are now able to facilitate the natural interactions between trainer and learner by providing consistent and accurate materials. This includes exposure to micro-learning videos that support the text and graphics. Inkling has been a great success changing the way our employees learn. It has also saved us millions in productivity dollars by shifting time spent from a classroom or hours in an eLearning, to where it really matters.... on the production floor. Inkling has allowed us to create materials for over a dozen countries at a pace and level of consistency not possible in the past.
