Great tool for teacher preparation/education

  • January 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to use and video can be uploaded easily. The assignment features offer ways for instructors to create peer sharing/ class sharing or individual views between instructor and teacher. The comments section is also great because the instructor and other peers can leave the participant (teacher) comments/suggestions about specific video instances.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is that participants cannot create their own code buttons. The instructor needs to create the code buttons that the participant will use to analyze their uploaded video. This can be troublesome if you are using the tool for reflective purposes and want the participant to create their own code buttons based on their goal/ feelings etc. Therefore I would not say the tool allows for much autonomy which is a huge downside for me. Other free video coding tools like V-note offer this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helpful that the tool can be shared for interdisciplinary work. For example, adding multiple instructors to one assignment so they can all see participant work.

GoReact makes learning easy

  • January 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Timestamps and markers allow instructors to give specific feedback.
Responses can be typed or recorded, making it easy to show a sign or discuss a concept
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike. If you do, GoReact is open to feedback, working hard to incorporate ideas, and making regular improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online learning has worked well because GoReact makes giving feedback easy.
Adding rubrics, timestamps and colour-coded marker sets allows instructors to share feedback easily.
And if you don't know what to do, GoReact responds in NO time to help you resolve any issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a tool that allows you to give specific feedback, this is the tool for you!
ASL interpreters benefit from the technology, receiving specific feedback with examples.

Best UX and mobile non-app experience

  • January 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I tried out a few tools and liked the intuitive features of this platform best. Since this was a secondary product or benefit within my business I know my customers grow weary of one more thing that requires login. However, with GoReact the value is there. From the moment the get into the platform they see immediate benefits and easy-to-navigate options.

As an instructor I also like the interface for creating markers, using text or audio feedback and providing instructions.

Lastly, the mobile version was great. Without downloading another app my clients could login from a mobile browser and still enjoy easy video uploads and watching. Remember, not all students have the same access to personal computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost has made it difficult to scale. I want a pricing option for limited features that would allow me to trial (limited time free use) the product so that I can give them hands on experience before they buy. Unfortunately, this would require video demos only while the price per student is so high.

Remember though, high is in comparison to far inferior competitors so I will still pay it just need to price my customers accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I provide students job interview experience through the app. Building a community of student provided feedback in addition to coach feedback. Not a college.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
WeVu was more willing to add features for your specific needs.

Consider if your needs work like a big college (their primary market) or if you have needs that are different. This might not change your final decision but worth consideration since their product roadmap is going to focus on higher education needs.

Administration and organization of a large program within this platform is likely to be 15% to 50% of a full time role.

Educators... a must for video critique.

  • January 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What first attracted me to the software was the ability to have both my students and myself leave evaluations for each other's work. Once I started using the software I realize that I could also leave recorded feedback (an incredible time saver) and also be integrated into the university's grading system.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using the software, I was a bit confused about how the grades would interface with the university's gradebook. I was able to figure it out, but some clarification on where and how are the grades need to be inputted would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, it is incredibly useful to have all of GoReact's features available in the same place: upload, timecode based comments, the ability for students to comment on each other's work, and grading and evaluation for the instructor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Using GoReact was a no-brainer for me. It had all the functionality I needed for a university based video production class.

Helpful Comment Features

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I have options in GoReact when I begin to comment on videos. I use tags to cite the specific actions I see. Then as I'm adding my own comments I can choose to pause the video while I'm typing or let it keep running.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to be careful when uploading videos that they are captured in the smallest size video file. Even then, it could take awhile to upload. But stick with it! Eventually the file uploads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During school closures and rises in sickness on campus, I've been able to use GoReact to still be able to observe my student teachers. Using GoReact has eliminated some paperwork for me too. I no longer need to take anecdotal notes when observing. I'm free to focus on encouragement and suggestions without feeling burned out on typing everything that has happened.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give videos time to load.

a great tool both for my students AND for self-assessment

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to time-stamp my feedback both to students and in reviewing my own work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little involved getting to GoReact through our learning platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My feedback in music is often highly technical: "at this precise moment, you're moving your fingers in the wrong way," for example. Associating that feedback with the specific moment it happens solves problems much more quickly than otherwise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't forget you can use it for your own personal work—giving feedback to yourself.

I have used Goreact in my class. It is great tool to use with students.

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Goreact is that it is very convenient. I was able to view videos and give feedback immediately to students. Some students were able to naviagte around the website fairly easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The download times of specific assignments played a huge role in completing projects. At times particular components failed, such as the microphone, video, and downloads. We were able to wait, but this just cut into our time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One problem that I solved using GoReact is interaction with students. Some students could use Goreact, and it seemed as if they were naturals behind the camera. It came naturally to students.

Self-reflection at its finest

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Team members can give specific feedback in great detail. Instead of an overall summary of an example, individuals can focus on particular moments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want the capability of highlighting various moments at different lengths. For example, maybe I would like to highlight 30 seconds of a video and give feedback regarding that moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During training or meetings, we can analyze what is working and become more efficient with our time. We can receive feedback from various members without leaving their office or classroom.

Great new video tool

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use in setting up BlackBoard assignments. Students quickly feel confident posting or creating videos and responding to other student's postings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of. This is a versitile product. It is easy to use and if there is ev er a problem I find that it is self-created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teaching synchronous classes is difficult. Students begin to feel that they are part of a community when they can
"meet" each other on GoReact

GoReact is an excellent video platform for my teaching and language assessment needs.

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Your customer service is the champ! Reliable and prompt!
Whenever I need assistance, someone is there to help me out in a pinch.
At GoReact, there are user-friendly features, and what helps, there's a partnership with another platform that I use for teaching.
It works so well for me, and I'm grateful for the excellent service and attention to my needs because the customer support understand
what I'm using to teach and assessing students' abilities in language progression.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like more self-help videos in American Sign Language. There is not enough material. All more the better!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, there are no problems. The downsides are weighed by the upside of its champ service and attention.
GoReact has made my grading work so much easier and more convenient. I wish I had discovered it early on, but better late than never.
The best benefits is is that the customer service support and technical help can communicate with me in my language.
