    Information Technology and Services

An easy to use headless CMS with nice UI

  • May 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storyblok is easy to use, easy to setup intuitive headless CMS. The available documentation gets you up to speed in no time. The app directory helps you connect to different services if needed.
The fee community edition is a great solution for smaller businesses and even personal projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Major drawback for clients is the pricing model. The lower tears a very competitive compared to others in the market. If you want to set up some sort of OTAP or perhaps just Test and Production, you'll need to go for the enterprise tear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing SaaS headless CMS. I don't need to worry about any further updates and security issues. The Visual Editor is easy to understand for marketeers, so the content editing shouldn't be an issue.

Storyblok Review from an Next.js developer point of view

  • May 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the nice User Interface connected with the very clear User Experience. You can find all needed features very quickly in the web app and they are very easy to use. Also the integration into web apps like next.js is very easily done and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some downpoints are maybe the limitations when using assets (limited file sizes, no easy option to provide assets via custom domain..) However, I am aware that this is depending on which plan you are using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to manage the content of web pages easily and in an intuitive user interface and providing this data to the web application.

Great tool with multiple modern features

What do you like best about the product?
I like the UX of the app. It is clean and well organized which makes it very pleasant when you are using it. The preview functionality is great as well, I like how versatile it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pulling images from Storyblok into gatsby-plugin-image isn't working for in the GraphQL query for fields of the "Blocks" type. This makes our team roll back to the old API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to manage content on the website with good flexibility in component arrangement for a site-builder experience. It works fast and the responsiveness is great.

    Program Development

Easy to implement and amazingly flexible

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One helpful aspect of Storyblok is its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which simplifies content management and allows users to create and update their websites with ease.
An upside of Storyblok is its flexible and scalable nature, empowering users to seamlessly manage and deliver content across various platforms, resulting in enhanced efficiency and a streamlined digital experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Storyblok has numerous positive features what can be disliked is that Storyblok can be relatively expensive for small businesses and individuals with limiting budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a headless CMS, Storyblok benefits users by decoupling the frontend and backend, enabling faster development cycles, improved collaboration between developers and content creators, and the flexibility to deliver content to various frontend frameworks or devices without constraints.

Easy-to-use, flexible and stable headless CMS delivering amazing performance

  • May 16, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storyblok is a CRM that offers editors exactly the usability and flexibility we need. The switch from Wordpress to Storyblok was easy for us. Content can now be played out even faster and more flexibly - and with much improved performance. Many free plugins provide seamless support for special tasks. Working with multiple editors runs smoothly, as workflows can be defined yourself. Headless technology easily delivers content to different devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some hick-ups depending on server configuration, but can be solved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usability and lack of performance

Storyblok from a developers point of view

  • May 16, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to get started with Storyblok as Headless CMS - the npm library "storyblok-generate-ts" makes it even easier to use the correct types while working with NextJS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because Storyblok is not a self hosted CMS, but is hosted by a third party in the cloud, it's harder to add custom functionality to it compared to other CMS solutions which are self hosted. (e.g. Statamic).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storyblok really helped us speed up our development and deployment of new websites. Having previously used Wordpress for client websites, being able to skip the whole self hosting really is a life-saver. Also not having to worry about backups or data migration when moving servers, as this is not needed anymore.

A much balanced and streamlined experience for both content editors and developers

What do you like best about the product?
Storyblok's visual editor is its competitive edge over other headless CMS. The preview experience was top-notch. It was easy for content editors to move UI components around and update the page layout without developers' assistance once they have set up the content components according to the Atomic design principles.

For developers, the component bridge abstraction was so magical. Mapping CMS components (bloks) to components in the codebase was a little confusing initially, but once you get the hang of it, everything is so smooth. Developers can focus more on developing the UI components rather than figuring out the nuances of getting their components to work within Storyblok
What do you dislike about the product?
When we started using Storyblok, the documentation could be confusing and disconnected. Discord's support was somewhat spotty; answers to questions aren't always immediately available and can fall into a black hole if no follow-up was prompted. But from what I have gathered, Storyblok has put more resources to address this. Storyblok offers both REST and GraphQL API options. However, at our time of development, there was a heavier emphasis on their REST API documentation and support, so we decided to go with REST vs our preferred GraphQL
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content management systems used to be where you had to install and set up clunky CMS platforms such as Drupal and WordPress. Provision and secure database setups using MySQL and all that. With Storyblok as a service, all of that is taken care of! No more worries about why the server is down, and platform plugin compatibility. We used Storyblok as a headless CMS and were able to reap all the benefits that came with a composable architecture, creating a dynamic website using our favorite language.

Just a great system.

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly the best feature of storyblok is the help desk. You can do so much with the whole system and it looks great, but the speed and thoroughness of the help chat on their website makes creating and troubleshooting complex components a lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit of a learning curve and figuring out how your setup is compatible with the headless system and there aren't necessarily comprehensive exemples for every framework.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the visual editor and easy component creation it's just miles ahead of other systems. It's a lot easier for our clients to be in charge of their own content and change things on the fly.

Powerful and excellent CMS Experience through Storyblok.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's user-friendly and fast, the live view is really useful and the drag&drop feature is a standout functionality. It's possible to create complex content quickly and easily, without using manual codes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The CMS is very user friendly, but sometimes there are too many clicks to finish an action. Navigation through sections is sometimes confusing. It's quite easy to get lost in the UI. The price is quite high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flash page speed on Google, also it saves time allowing to focus on the content and not the technical side of the project.

What do you like best about the product?
The best things that i like about storyblok are like managing content, create componet and use inifinite times. design can be created within a time, quick publishing and unpublishing content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont have dislke till now except, if we are creating the pages in a folder wise there we face issues like if the design needs to redo then we need to go every folder page and fix it but that can also be fixed using a multilanguage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content managing and creating component which makes design faster and and where non-technical people can create their own design. It has increasd 10x faster in development.
