Great CMS with a fantastic live editor
What do you like best about the product?
The live editor makes content editor's lives happy as they can see a preview of their new page as they create or edit it in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The official plugin with Gatsby is a bit outdated and doesn't work with the new Gatsby image API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy for developers to create components for content editors to build new pages with. When a change is required on a page, no developer is required and the editor can do it themselves.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If content editors would like a preview of their site while they are editing content, then Storyblok is the CMS you should choose

Decent service but with a couple gotchas
What do you like best about the product?
The API has a number of options for filtering and querying. It's fast and concise. GraphQL support is great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relationships in the API are poorly implemented and difficult to workaround. Even the GraphQL API was missing a relationship lookup aspect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to deploy a powerful CMS for a multimedia platform. The benefits was the visual editor which is a godsend for newcomer content maintainers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Determine if it fits your use case and try working with the API before you commit.
Highly customizable visual CMS made by a small team
What do you like best about the product?
The visual editor is a great help to our client. The generous quota on the number of content types is also liberating compared to competitors offering the same service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ecommerce integration requires a higher plan, which is the only feature that requires an upgrade from the entry to the team plan, and a big blocking decision for our smaller cllients. We prefer to have the ecomm integration available on all plans (not free) as a gesture of goodwill for users supporting your platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a digital agency, our client's content editing experience is very important to our collaboration. This is because if they are confused or make a mess in the cms, it is more overhead for them and maintenance for our developers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tough setup but great CMS experience
Solid, reliable and very flexible CMS solution that I’ve grown to love
What do you like best about the product?
I’ll be honest — at the beginning, I was a bit skeptical towards Storyblok because it seemed less powerful and flexible than other headless CMS solutions out there. I was wrong.
Once you start using it and get your head around it, you’ll see how flexible it is and how easily it can adapt to various scenarios. Start by checking out their tutorials, there are many, and they get updated often.
I especially love how easy it is to model content, how fast their API endpoints are, and how extensible and adaptable the tool is.

What do you dislike about the product?
I personally think that this product has a steeper learning curve when compared to similar products, so I suggest reading the documentation before diving into it. The concept of “blocks” is something different from other CMS, so it might take some time to fully grasp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m using Storyblok as a headless CMS for various websites, ranging from simple landing pages to big websites, including e-commerce platforms. Storyblok has provided me with a cost-effective, consistent platform to handle all the content management needs, allowing non-technical team members to handle content on their own.
Great reliable CMS solutions that facilitates development in a unique way.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to use and customizable, and it has great content creation features that are very effective and easy to define and modify. It's packed with great visual ideas, and it's also effective when it comes to planning content. The user interface is excellent, as it is easy to find any function.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an easy to use tool but it needs to show more deatils in each of its functions and it does not offer drag and drop either and that is important because it will make the work much easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing content in a unique and efficient way, editing documents, managing web content, and editing images and text helps a lot more than you bargained for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will greatly reduce your time to a few clicks, I recommend it.
Very easy to use CMS

What do you dislike about the product?
No dark mode :) In the content view, navigation between folders is a bit slow because they are loaded each time

Non-tech staff can create new pages without pinging the dev team. Perfect integration with component-based frontend frameworks like Vue and Nuxt
Very Responsive Support

Affordable and flexible
What do you like best about the product?
With Storyblok it's easy to define and modify content schemas. If I used a custom database for content, I'd have to write and test database migrations which would be time-consuming.
Storyblok's documentation is excellent! Each API endpoint is well described and sample code is provided in a number of languages.
