Focused practice has improved my retention and supports ongoing learning beyond interviews

    Reviewed on Jun 29, 2026
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I use CodeSignal Interview to learn the subject matter, rather than to learn how to conduct job interviews. I learned something from CodeSignal Interview, and this is good enough; it is a success. The platform has improved my knowledge of some subjects, which is beneficial for me.

CodeSignal Interview functioned regarding the platform achieving the target that I was expecting it would do. I learned real things and things that I will be using, despite the need for an interview. I will use this information in other places, not just for interviews or other contexts.

    What is most valuable?

CodeSignal Interview has a good way to transfer knowledge to people, especially because it has a way to assess with efficiency what you have been doing and keep track of your progress on the learning path.

CodeSignal Interview is a good way to keep track of your progress. It also encourages people to maintain the pace, which some other courses do not do in a good way. I found this very interesting.

Retention is the keyword when it comes to using CodeSignal Interview. Some other platforms allow you to do the drill, but you cannot retain the memory some days later. The retention on CodeSignal Interview was good for me; it worked.

Some other platforms only offer drills and exercises with no way to really learn. Some other platforms were interesting to prepare you to do an interview, which is different from preparing you to learn something and get the main idea of subjects that you want to improve your skills in. CodeSignal Interview did this very well.

    What needs improvement?

I know that something can be improved regarding CodeSignal Interview. I do not have a clear idea about it or how to implement these improvements, but I know that something can be done.

Under today's AI capabilities regarding CodeSignal Interview, the tests or the drills on the course could be a little more involving and not complicated, but rather a little more dense. AI today can produce some tests that are a little tougher than the tests that I ran when I was on the platform.

For how long have I used the solution?

I used CodeSignal Interview very briefly. I think that I used it for one month or so.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

There were no stability issues when using CodeSignal Interview. It functions very well with no crashes, as much as I remember. It works pretty well.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

With the help of AI, CodeSignal Interview's scalability can be achieved. I do not know how the backstage of CodeSignal Interview works, but it appears to me that the platform has the appearance of scalability, and how things work on the platform looks to me that it is pretty scalable. I see no problem.

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed to contact customer support regarding CodeSignal Interview.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I evaluated some options before choosing CodeSignal Interview. I evaluated Coursera, LinkedIn, and Udemy. These are three platforms to learn. CodeSignal Interview was great. It was not above average and not better than those three, but it equates to these three platforms. It is good enough.

I currently use some other platforms for learning, such as LinkedIn, Coursera, and Udemy. These three are the main platforms that I use to improve my skills.

    How was the initial setup?

I did not use CodeSignal Interview pricing. I did not sign up; I used the free version, the free tier on CodeSignal Interview. Under my point of view, for people that want to use it heavily, setup cost is, for the quality of the tool, pretty much on the average, the fair cost, and fair licensing. I have no problem.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I did not use CodeSignal Interview pricing. I did not sign up; I used the free version, the free tier on CodeSignal Interview. Under my point of view, for people that want to use it heavily, setup cost is, for the quality of the tool, pretty much on the average, the fair cost, and fair licensing. I have no problem.

I evaluated some options before choosing CodeSignal Interview. I evaluated Coursera, LinkedIn, and Udemy. These are three platforms to learn. CodeSignal Interview was great. It was not above average and not better than those three, but it equates to these three platforms. It is good enough.

What other advice do I have?

I rate CodeSignal Interview an 8 out of 10. I know that something can be improved, but I do not have a clear idea about it, so it is an 8 or 9. It is a very good platform, and I appreciate it.

I use CodeSignal Interview directly on the browser and access it in a browser. There is no cloud and no need for special settings for that.

I typically use the Brave browser to access CodeSignal Interview. Brave is the default browser around here. It is lighter and better than Chrome.

Regarding CodeSignal Interview's AI capabilities, security is a tough question. Security is always a tough question. To me, it was fine; CodeSignal Interview did not obtain my personal data, as far as I know, and use that data. Security is good enough and stands to governance too.

Go to CodeSignal Interview if you want to improve your knowledge.

Keep going this way, CodeSignal Interview; it is the right path. My overall review rating for CodeSignal Interview is 8 out of 10.

Regular practice has boosted my interview confidence and improved my problem‑solving approach

    Reviewed on Jun 17, 2026
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for CodeSignal Interview is mostly for taking interviews. However, I sometimes try to solve questions on their platform too because many times the questions present on CodeSignal come up in CodeSignal interviews. Therefore, I practice on CodeSignal website as well. For day-to-day purposes, I use LeetCode for my DSA practice, but when I have CodeSignal interviews coming up, I go to their platform to practice questions.

The primary use case for which I currently use CodeSignal Interview is conducting and preparing for interviews.

    What is most valuable?

In my opinion, the best features that CodeSignal Interview offers include their detailed final scores. They analyze all the questions, noting how many test cases a user passes and fails. If important test cases are passed, they score accordingly. I really appreciate this scoring system because many companies consider the CodeSignal score during evaluations. For instance, getting a score of 700 or 800 out of 800 is impressive. I value how they differentiate between the quality of solutions; if a user passes 29 out of 50 test cases using brute force, they don't receive full points, which is fair. I also enjoy the feature where they nudge me through email to keep practicing.

The scoring feature does not help me that much overall, but it definitely is fair. It assists me sometimes, especially since many interviews in CodeSignal round have four questions where the first two are easy or medium, the third is tricky, and the last is the hardest. They analyze this type of question where the last one carries the most points. This helps me understand the best approach to solve the hardest question rather than tackling the tricky one first. I focus on completing the easier questions within a few minutes, which I find appealing.

I have experienced significant improvements since using CodeSignal Interview, particularly in my interview performance and confidence. After solving numerous questions on their platform, I gained considerable confidence when giving interviews. I feel assured that if a specific question arises, I will definitely handle it because I have already practiced similar questions on CodeSignal.

I find that CodeSignal Interview has excellent security. I feel secure, as if I am interacting with a professional AI interviewer. The overall experience feels reassuring, providing a very good interview atmosphere.

CodeSignal Interview is very stable in my experience.

    What needs improvement?

One feature that I would appreciate CodeSignal Interview to improve is their user interface (UI) to enhance user experience. I believe better UI would make it even more effective. Overall, I find everything else satisfactory.

CodeSignal could introduce a low-level design or high-level design course as well so that I can practice that on CodeSignal.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using CodeSignal Interview for a significant amount of time, having done numerous CodeSignal interviews and also practiced data structure and algorithms (DSA) on the platform as well. I have given around four to five CodeSignal interviews in different countries, namely Uber, Visa, and Microsoft. Additionally, I have practiced a lot of questions on CodeSignal.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

CodeSignal Interview is very stable in my experience.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I find CodeSignal Interview pretty scalable; I have not observed any downtime, even during high traffic. It consistently responds quickly whenever I submit a solution, contributing to its stability.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, I used LeetCode for preparation, but I switched to CodeSignal due to the prevalence of interviews conducted on this platform. I wanted to become more familiar with CodeSignal.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing CodeSignal Interview, I evaluated other options such as HackerEarth and HackerRank, but I found CodeSignal to be the best fit for my needs.

What other advice do I have?

I am not certain how CodeSignal Interview has impacted my team, but many people do practice on CodeSignal. Personally, it has helped me a great deal by providing daily challenges. This aspect has been beneficial, and it might help my teams as well.

My advice for others looking into using CodeSignal Interview is to keep on practicing. It is a very effective platform for practicing and conducting interviews. The more you practice, the higher your chances of qualifying for interviews and understanding CodeSignal's capabilities to solve questions quickly.

I would rate this review an 8 out of 10.

Hiring team has filtered candidates efficiently using structured questions and evaluations

    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for CodeSignal Interview is hiring and recruitment.

    What is most valuable?

CodeSignal Interview's best features include the question bank and the evaluation schemes, as well as their anti-cheating methods.

Regarding the question bank and evaluation schemes, they help my team because the question bank allows us to choose questions and set the difficulty level accordingly. The evaluation schemes enable us to designate whether a question is easy, where we can set a lower score, or whether it is more challenging, where we can set a higher score. This functionality helps us filter out the right candidates.

CodeSignal Interview has positively impacted my organization, as we have had successful screening rounds with several candidates, which demonstrates one of the better features.

    What needs improvement?

CodeSignal Interview can be improved by reducing pricing.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using CodeSignal Interview for six months.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate CodeSignal Interview an eight out of ten. I chose eight out of ten because pricing presents a challenge, as there are competitors who offer more attractive pricing. The advice I would give to others considering CodeSignal Interview is that it solves a significant hiring need and can help filter out unsuitable candidates quickly. My overall rating for this product is eight out of ten.

CodeSignal Bridges Assessment and Learning with a 24/7 Cosmo AI Tutor

    Reviewed on Mar 11, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about CodeSignal is how well it bridges the gap between assessment and learning. I first came across the platform during a job application process, and I was immediately impressed by the overall ecosystem. The Cosmo AI tutor is a real game-changer: it offers real-time, context-aware guidance that helped me get unstuck on more complex issues while working through the courses I enrolled in. It genuinely feels like having a personal mentor available 24/7—someone who nudges you toward problem-solving instead of simply giving away the answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main limitation for me is that the courses are currently offered only in English. Even though the platform itself is high quality, this can be challenging for non-native speakers. That said, when I asked Cosmo (the AI assistant) to explain the course materials in another language, it was able to do so, which I found very helpful. Still, because the core platform and content aren’t natively localized, the overall experience isn’t completely seamless. I’d really like to see official multilingual support for their educational content in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefits for me have been the learning paths and Cosmo’s AI assistance. Rather than just failing a task and moving on, I can use the courses to really master the topics I struggled with. It’s helped me build confidence in my technical skills, and it also gives me a place to prove my proficiency to employers through hands-on practice, not just a resume.

What do you like best about the product?
Yes it is to practice coding skills and prepare for interviews. This has been so useful for me because I have been hired using this software, and I have good memories of using it to practice or to show my coding skills to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, the problems can be repetive only changing the test; however, it helps to practice the solution 2 times. Also, it is easier to find different solutions online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Yes, the knowledge is a great tool to practice and implement in my job, where I have to improve constantly. This tool helps me a lot to implement and use it to make my problem-solving better. Efficient online coding assessments have streamlined hiring and improved candidate insights

    Reviewed on Feb 23, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for CodeSignal Interview is to give online assessments during my application to various companies. The product serves as a great way to assess candidates and their problem-solving skills. In addition to that, it also employs proctoring services during the time of the assessment. This helps to automate the first few levels of the candidate selection process, which eases the need for manpower during these stages. I believe it's a great assessment tool that helps any company understand more about the candidate using various question-answer formats and puzzles to solve.

A quick, specific example of how my team used CodeSignal Interview for an assessment is that it allows a candidate to showcase his or her problem-solving skills. This is used to understand more about the candidate while also quickening the company's hiring processes and saving time. It helps to speed up the process of the candidate assessment as well as elimination and thus focus more on the rounds ahead. It's a great way to understand more about the candidate and also how he or she approaches a problem.

    What is most valuable?

The best features CodeSignal Interview offers include good quality questions for software engineering, a code editor, and a time ticker warning. It is one of the best platforms to give proctored tests, with a good color theme for the editor and plenty of programming language support.

The code editor in CodeSignal Interview works great when I want to edit a certain code to fit my needs. The time ticker is useful when an interview is about to begin and when I am almost done or when the time is almost done, the time ticker reminds me about that.

I would also add that CodeSignal Interview has a great user interface, multi-language support, and quality problem-solving questions.

CodeSignal Interview has positively impacted my organization by saving time and energy during the earlier stages of candidate evaluation. It optimizes resources and provides a detailed explanation of the premise. Additionally, it helps to provide very quick results. There are no additional software requirements for proctored tests, and a proper walkthrough before I start my test really helps me familiarize myself with the environment.

From using CodeSignal Interview, I have seen metrics showing a 40% time saving during the hiring of potential candidates. It helps to manage and streamline the hiring process for my company, hence saving a lot of time. Saving time and energy during the initial stages of candidate assessment helps to streamline the hiring process.

CodeSignal Interview has helped us save time and streamline our hiring processes. CodeSignal Interview is a game-changer solution.

    What needs improvement?

I would add that CodeSignal Interview is a great tool because I believe it's appropriate for testing competitive coding skills for software engineering roles. I was really impressed by the quality of the questions in that test. The scoring system also helps to know how well you did in the test. It is not very appropriate in a situation where you want to switch between questions quite often.

The SQL and machine learning sections in CodeSignal Interview need a lot of improvement.

I think it can be improved by providing a chance to extend test-taking time in case of an emergency, crashes, or any other urgent situation.

For others looking into using CodeSignal Interview, I would advise that it is ideal for online examinations or remote interviews that do not need to be proctored and support many languages. While taking the test, the user will feel at ease because of the straightforward user interface and intuitive design, which includes features such as auto-save, auto-complete, non-invasive timer, and tips. However, in instances where firms want to hire data scientists, it may be less ideal because a more interactive test environment, such as Jupyter Notebook, is required. As a result, it is not well-suited for machine learning experiments at the moment, but this can be improved, and they are working to enhance the SQL and machine learning algorithms.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using CodeSignal Interview for the past six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

CodeSignal Interview is stable; I have not experienced any downtime, especially when taking interviews or when learning about my coding abilities. It is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for CodeSignal Interview is very proactive and responsive 24/7.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used Codility, and I switched to CodeSignal Interview because it is very easy to use and provides good tests, good scores, and is very cost-effective. Additionally, the support is very proactive. The platform also devotes a great amount of time and care to ensuring user satisfaction, leaving no stone unturned in the interview process, making it a great tool for preparing interviewees.

Before choosing CodeSignal Interview, I evaluated other options, including HackerRank and Plum.io.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with CodeSignal Interview, as the platform offers high accuracy, reliable compiling speed, code syntax accuracy, multi-tenant coding capabilities, diverse question sets, and a good user design. It saves time, especially for the hiring process of the HR department. It has been advantageous in terms of saving time for interviewees due to its simpler approach. My coding abilities have greatly improved and continue to aid me in the interview process. The user interface has been really intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes it very easy to customize my coding skills.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for CodeSignal Interview is that it's a very good learning tool for improving coding skills. In my organization, out of hundreds of people who apply to work at our company, CodeSignal Interview assists us in identifying the best candidates. CodeSignal Interview offers two types of examinations: General Coding Evaluation and Data Science Assessments. The candidates' scores are legitimate because they are proctored and confirmed. It saves time because we only have to interview a smaller number of individuals.

I find that my main use case for CodeSignal Interview is very advantageous and acceptable for applicants who are not fluent in some languages, such as myself, because it offers multiple languages. Applicants benefit greatly from companies that hire applicants based on their logical and problem-solving abilities, and CodeSignal Interview gives them the ability to do so.

    What is most valuable?

Some of the best features that CodeSignal Interview offers include intensive technical interview preparation. The online evaluation option is an excellent approach to assess candidates. The simple user interface allows for simple operations.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used HackerRank and TestGorilla. We switched from HackerRank to CodeSignal Interview. I have also used HackerRank to evaluate my coding knowledge. However, I think CodeSignal Interview has more challenging code and more suitable code to experience one's knowledge for a particular language or module. CodeSignal Interview helps to prepare for interview questions and already has the questions that are being asked in previous interviews.

    What about the implementation team?

I purchased CodeSignal Interview through the Amazon Web Services Marketplace.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment, as CodeSignal Interview helps our employees improve their knowledge about code. It helps my organization to become more reliable with perfect code. Examining employees and applicants has been more simple and time-saving, especially because we don't have to deal with a lot of applicants. We only deal with the best applicants that have great scores.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for CodeSignal Interview was that the cost was very affordable and cost-effective.

The online evaluation option in CodeSignal Interview helps us to prepare for problem-solving and logical abilities according to the interviews that we might be asked in any company that we apply for a job.

I would recommend CodeSignal Interview to my colleagues, friends, or any company for a very important reason, which is its user-friendly coding learning technique for preparing candidates for an interview as well as for the market. CodeSignal Interview has many types of coding languages, allowing one to learn any language from this single website easily.

I think it's very beneficial and appropriate for applicants such as myself who are unfamiliar with certain languages. I would rate this product a nine out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for CodeSignal Interview is that it is an incredible recruiting source, helping sort out interview applicants by examining them on their skill set required for the job. While recruiting, some services require expertise and expert experiences as priority above word of mouth, cover letters, and CVs. That demonstration of one's capability when giving the task at hand is valuable. In instances of recruitment of such services, CodeSignal Interview provides an additional filter to sort out the best among candidates. It is also a good platform for advanced programmers as it introduces the format to a wider range of possibilities with code and a later platform to refresh and optimize skills for new interviews or projects.

While the interviewee is able to access the technical skills of new developers that are being recruited, it is also used by developers to improve their problem-solving skills by solving coding problems on the platform. Additionally, we use CodeSignal Interview questions for our daily coding challenges and also weekly challenges. CodeSignal Interview is a nice platform that provides front-end challenges and also improves problem-solving skills for those who want to learn about front-end development.
