    Computer Software

The overall experience has been good.

What do you like best about the product?
The questions that are provided and the way they are categorized and organized present the user with an opportunity to learn and practice coding more efficiently. Also, the autocomplete and preloaded collections framework helps users focus more on the implementation of the algorithm and on optimizing solution rather than trivial syntax related issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that top solutions only get disclosed after the solution has been submitted and the use of coins for getting hints is somewhat frustrating. Also, not been able to see your own ranking with a single click doesn't let you estimate your position in the crowd.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved algorithmic coding problems and it has helped in thinking in a much better way and has prepared me well for facing the interviews.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good platform to practice coding on. Read the problems carefully and you will be able to solve them. Read other people's solutions and go through discussions even after you have solved the problem because you might still learn something new.

Code Signal for High School CS Class

  • May 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the bite size approach to the challenges, and how they enhance the problem solving approach that I have for the class. I encourage students to take on the challenge and many do.
I like that you can redo the challenges with a different language.
I also like the variety of the challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very addictive and sometimes students are distracted from their work in different classes. It is very easy to get into the mode of thinking that I will just look at the next challenge and wind up working the problem.
There is not much to dislike here, I have noticed that some of the challenges are difficult and then the very next one is super simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm working on the Arcade with Python 3 and it has really help me learn some important features of the language with lists, strings, dictionaries, etc.
It is also a good source of additional practice for my students.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely try it.

Well-organized questions with a convenient and pretty UI

  • May 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
First of all, I was impressed with how well the questions are organized on the site. I will be honest that on many competing sites the organization is trouble. This means that such a system only works when you know what you need from a resource. In this case, CodeSignal helps you.
Secondly, the pretty UI makes it a pleasure to work with the website. Great pictures and stories behind the tasks make usage of the CodeSignal fascinating.
Last but not least, CodeSignal has a very smooth transition in difficulties of the tasks. It helps a user not being overwhelming from something challenging from the beginning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Up to this point, I have not met the "common" questions on the site like Reverse a Linked list. The CodeSignal tasks are more real-life and close to the questions on real technical interviews. Here is a question: is it a good practice or wrong? Does it mean that people who can solve such problems will take "common" questions very quick?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing for a technical interview and raising the overall skill level. The CodeSignal helped me understood that the organization of the questions is very important!

What do you like best about the product?
The holistic approach that CodeSignal offers: challenges, tounaments, learning curriculum, etc. You don't have to leave CodeSignal to have a complete learning experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
CodeSignal doesn't work on a phone, otherwise - everything is perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'am doing tournaments to improve my problem solving speed, coding challenges to improve my algorithmic thinking and arcade to learn the fundamentals.

What do you like best about the product?
I love competing with my friends in tournaments. Arcade is also great because you can see your friends' progress and gain points and experience on each completed level.
Interview practice problems are very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The page is not responive and content can not be read from a mobile device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interview practice - I've noted a big improvement in my coding skills.
Tournaments - I have fun and improve my speed, which is good because I usually take too much time to analize things.

Tournaments!!

What do you like best about the product?
Codesignal is a platform to improve our programming skills, learn new languages and solve challenges that contribute to our algorithmic knowledge. I like most the tournaments(the speed to build the ideas and translate it to code). Another thing that I really liked were the challenges of the companies that helped me a lot in the growth of my knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things I did not like were that the problems in the tournaments are very often repeated. I think there could be two types of tournaments something like levels which brings with it the emotion of going from one level to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform helped me remember the algorithm courses of the university, increase my basic knowledge and see the problems from differents perspectives
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend solving the challenges of the companies and the problems related to interviews.

What do you like best about the product?
From my perspective this is a brain-muscle training. It also helped me when I started to learn GoLang. Codesignal is great as an education support tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Level of daily challenges unfortunately has recently fallen but there is still a lot of hard tasks to accomplish
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After few months of playing with simple tasks the interview challenges are something that I appreciate. So no mater what level you are, you will always find something for you
Generally I learn
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Improves skills of bored programmers, adds gamification, educates

Excellent platfor for all levels (Fresher, Experianced, Experts)

What do you like best about the product?
I like the following things:-
1. It provides different modes like arcade, practice, challenges, interview preparations.
2. It's free so no need to worry about costs.
3. Its advertise free platform.
4. One can see the solution of others and improve your self (As nobody is perfect in this world).
5. Arcade programs are nicely arranged.
6. Challenge to the world (Regions are not a bar for the programmers :-)).
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel a few enhancements should be done:
1. Every day there must be three challenge instead of just one and that should be category wise like easy, medium, hard.
2. If possible it should not be repeated.
3. A proper explanation should be there instead of a long and vague description.
4. A platform should sponsor live events and encourage programmers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I used to solve C programs. By solving daily challenges my confidence lev boosts.
