What do you like best about the product?
Well organized exercises with proper test cases. proper descriptions of the problem statement. Code terminal has various editors like vim, different theme available.
What do you dislike about the product?
there is no debug console. there should be clock for arcade mode as well. point to be earned for particle test should be mentioned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently solving daily challenges and arcade mode problems in code signal. problems are well organized by topics from easy to a hard level I have got my logical thing improved by solving these problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should try the codeSignal to improve your logical thinking for problem-solving.

CodeSignal forced me to learn more about python built-in functions at a faster pace.

What do you like best about the product?
With CodeSignal, you get different questions(a lot of them), different objectives and you can pick which path you want to use to become better at what you think you need to improve on. However, even the path you think you know a lot about has plenty of nuggets of information that will unlock new way of doing what you already know. So make sure to try everything that is offered.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say dislike, but if there could be a way to compare performance of 1) Code, 2) Individual ability compared to real world environment(entry level/junior 'xxx' at company 'yyy'), it will add an extra level of focus and engagement with the site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving all problems now, arcade(forces you get the necessary skills), tournaments, interview. I started with interview only. I got stuck on a question for a few days so I decided to see what other things are available on the site, just to take a mental break. What I realized is, each section of the site strengthens you and makes you a well rounded coder.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a look at what is available at CodeSignal, whether you are a complete beginner, in college, or switching languages. There are plenty of benefits, and the community has been pleasant so far for me, and my coding abilities have improved and continue to do so on a regular basis. I think you will have a good experience or even better than I did.

High School CS Practice

  • May 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the bite size and varied nature of the challenges. I teach several HS CS classes and I recommend the site to students as extra practice in problem solving.

I like that you it supports so many languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you can lose track of time and it can be totally addictive (let me solve just one more is a very dangerous and common problem).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the nature and limits of the problem; followed by learning additional features from a language that I had to explore based on new types of problems.

Various approaches to improve coding skills

  • May 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I tried other similar platforms, but none of them stuck with me more than two days. Tasks were, more less, the same all over, but the whole experience with CodeSignal was much better when compared to others. I like CS UI, convenient code testing, level progression by scoring experience points and earning badges along the way.

Variety of the approaches is also very important. When Arcade Levels became too hard, I switched to Challenges. When I progressed further, I switched to Interview Practice, then to Company Challenges and then to real "code fights" with other user on Tournaments.

It is very significant that you can compare solutions with the CS Community. One can really learn a lot that way and I think it brought me to another level.
What do you dislike about the product?
It happens from time to time that some user generated challenge has a poor task description, which prolongs solving time for those tasks. I don't really see this to be a CS fault and I can always find plenty of other tasks for solving.

One of the great incentives was the CS Store where I could buy CS branded t-shirt with earned experience points. Unfortunately, this "perk" is not available any longer, but I am lucky that I got mine on time which I am proudly wearing on my job interviews.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I joined CodeSignal because I needed proficiency and more coding experience than I already had. I hopped that it would prepare me for coding interviews that would earn me a better coding job. I started slow with one or two functions in a few days, than as I got "hooked" I had to complete one Arcade level per day. This is when I started to notice a real improvement.

Now, I don't spend that much time solving tasks. I still start my day with a Daily Challenge as a part of my daily routine to "warm" me up for work tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommended it before and I intend to recommend CS in the future as a one of the tools in a online tool-set available for anyone who intends to improve coding skills. There is only so much you can learn from courses. The real advancements come by working on real projects and CS platform is maybe a next best thing.

Funniest programming resource

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Interview practice is my best. Also must say about UI and IDE, they are just awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to have more asymptotic-dependent tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to solve everything, but often I just haven't enought time for it. At the first point I'm gonna finish with arcede tasks.

Extremely useful platform

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is quite engaging. The idea with daily challenges and tournaments is awesome. I really like the interview preparation section. I think it is really useful for recap and training. This is how I started using the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not think that there is something that I actually dislike. But I have a few recommendations. I think that the introductory section can be really useful for new starters. There is one for Python, which is great. I also think that a similar section for some Statistics and ML concepts would be really helpful. Sometimes daily challenges are extremely easy, probably tasks like using just one condition check should be filtered out, otherwise I think the idea with the challenge is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started with the interview preparation section. Now I am mostly solving daily challenges or trying to improve my speed with the tournaments.

The best coding challenges platform I have tried

  • May 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Nice problems description, too many kinds of challenges depending on the level of programmer.
A very nice editor.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my point of view, it would be better if there are some popular solution for each problem with detail explanation about time or space complexity just like LeetCode website did.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm looking into "multiplicationTable" in Academy - Python problems.
Those problems in this course help me learn and practice a lot about python programming.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, this is the awesome platform to help user practice and keep your programming skills sharp.

Good for Learning

  • May 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about CodeSignal is the path to learn about different types of problems. I highly recommend it for getting warmed up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the solutions will not work in all languages - I've found a number of problems for which JavaScript cannot complete the test cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I learned how to solve problems for interviews using CodeSignal's learning paths. I recommend it for anyone who wants a nicer interface than Leetcode.

great platform, sometimes interesting challenges

  • May 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The website is great, it is very easy to try out solutions, sometimes there are interesting challenges and often possible to learn even from one liner solutions
What do you dislike about the product?
unfortunately there are too many no brain exercises
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
practicing java coding, it helps to quickly find solutions for simple tasks, but unfortunately the interesting challenges are rare.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
the quality of challenges should be increased, time ago everybody could send in tasks and many of them were real challenges, unfortunately there are less and less such task as it is not taken from user submissions any more

Excellent for interview training

  • May 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The increasing difficulty of questions in both arcade more and interview challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more daily questions on non-algorithmic coding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems I mainly solve are algorithmic. I have been able to think and solve any problem at a higher speed and with greater accuracy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have used it only for practice, so I do not know it's other applications very well.
