A beautiful - well structured application for every developer to spend time on

  • May 23, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Beautiful user interface, well structured categories of problems, real interview problems to solve from big companies, tournaments to compete with other developers, experience / level ranking system, straight communication with other developers through the application itself, reviewing others' people code in problems you face too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the daily challenges have become ridiculously easy and there is a lack of challenging daily problems now, I also liked the "dev vs dev" concept (those times were codesignal was "codefights"), which do not exist anymore since the business plan of the platform has changed as I read.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use CodeSignal as a brain-teaser that helps me keep my mind in shape and my algorithmic skills, I also enjoy solving Interview challenges to realize the level I am. Code review of other developers solution is also something I enjoy, it is very interesting to see how other people think on the same problem and the coding style they apply to solve it.

Codesignal definitely helped me prepare for my interviews

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the problems are real interview problems. Afterwards, you can see what the other solutions are like.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be a timer on each question so I know how long I spent on it. There also needs to be a better than social scoring mechanism for the past answers, some answers are better but because they are newer they don't get the votes they need to be the highest answer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It for sure helped me prepare for interviews and let me know where my strengths and weaknesses were.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does feel a bit like the platform is dying, and the questions need refreshing. However still pretty good.

A great tool for keeping your skills up to date

What do you like best about the product?
- Great product that stands out among the variety of similar options out there
- A wide variety of coding problems and tracks
- Gamified experience that motivates you to come back and make progress every day
- A social component that keeps users engaged and motivates discussion that ultimately gives you a fresh perspective to solving problems
- Love the daily challenge and tournaments mode that give you new problems to solve on a regular basis
What do you dislike about the product?
- The daily challenge focuses on the length of the solutions, I'd love to see different "modes" where you can get more complex problems or focus on improving the performance of problems you've already solved in the past
- The social features can be improved a bit to make it easier to track and participate in discussions and conversations
- I'd love to see more tracks
- I'd love to see editorial content that goes in details on some of the common challenges or offers information on common cs topics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to improve my algorithms and data structures problem solving ability considerably since I started using CodeSignal. I love the gamified experience, which keeps me engaged and coming back to solve more challenges every day. I've used similar websites in the past (leetcode, hackerrank, geeksforgeeks etc), but CodeSignal has been the most polished and engaging option for me so far. Keep up the great work!

What do you like best about the product?
A mix between simple tasks and more difficult timeconsuming tasks,
What do you dislike about the product?
Miss the full implementation of Delphi for all tasks.
I am stuck sometimes, too difficult and feeling stupid not to be able to solve the task.
There is some cheat-possibility though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying solving all over the Place and get lucky actually solving some difficult ones.
It was a long time ago I started programming 1980:s basic and turbo pascal som my "best Before date" is due. But hopefully some skills or just stubborness doing the job still remains.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
try it out

What do you like best about the product?
The way the arcades and challenges organized is fantastic and it really teaches you the way realtime programs have to be approached. The level of difficulty is interesting one. And the point system is really good for you to be involved. To increase your skills in programming for further development and get placed in good companies, you must definitely try this. Anyone can use code signal since the UI is so amazing. The young students who are just getting into the field of computer science can try this platform to make them selves more better and to increase their skills in every aspect and to train them for future purpose. code signal is definitely the right place if you want to start new and fresh. You are awarded with coins or points for every answer you solve.
What do you dislike about the product?
More interview questions can be added and company wise frequently asked questions and experiences would help the aspiring candidates. This is my opinion to make the platform more better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been solving the arcades and challenges part in codesignal to improve my efficiency in programming.
The tournament is a must try area for all the needing coders out there. The solutions are really usefull to know the answers that the others have posted and it requires certain coins to unlock it .
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You definitely have to try code signal, since it is one of the best websites for learning and practicing coding.Just Go for it. I would recommend

Fun platform to learn and practise, for beginners to professionals

  • May 23, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great way to learn coding or pick up a new language. Pleasant UI that is easy to navigate and simple to use – facilitates the running of your code.

Beginners can work on the arcade mode to learn how to solve increasingly complex problems. More advanced coders can try to complete the arcade mode in a new language too!
Professionals and others who are looking for a daily bite-size coding exercise can attempt the daily challenge and appreciate the art of code-golfing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Daily challenges may be a little too simple for the more advanced coders, but it's great that it doesn't require much time to solve. If you are in for a more difficult challenge, one can also attempt the numerous other questions other than the daily challenges, which are kept simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CodeSignal provided me with a beautiful platform for me to practise coding on daily tasks.

Practice makes perfect

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A very nice way to practice the algorithm concept. The arcade mode is quite addictive and you can really get better with your coding and logic skills. The difficulty is fair, not too hard, but also not too easy, just good so you can make a progression. Great product overall, easy to use, nice UI and it's also free to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The description of certain problems are too long or can be really hard to understand, specially for non-native English speaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving my logic, database and algorithm skills. You can get ready for a technical interview and do some resolve some real-life problem in the company section.
