Great resource for online coding practice

  • May 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Arguably the best online IDE of all the interview prep resources. It doesn't get in your way, it works the way a normal editor works (ie, it doesn't mess up the indents every single time - looking at you LeetCode). The layout is also very intuitive, easy to understand and doesn't distract you (as compared to something like HackerRank for example).

The interview practice is a fun way to tackle coding problems, and so are the company challenges. The tournament feature is really fun when you compete with other people around the world as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Back when it was still called CodeFights, it had a feature to go head-to-head against bots and other users which was a really fun way to test your skills and see how you stack up against other people from around the world (especially when it came to the 'free coding' tasks).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CodeSignal succeeds in making coding practice fun. I can spend hours just going through the Arcade mode or the Company Challenges and not feel like I'm doing something monotonous.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
CodeSignal has recently taking a turn towards focusing more on interview preparation and actually integrating with companies which I think is a good way to tap into the online community using the site. Even if you aren't looking for a job, it's just a fun way to go through the challenges.

Great UX

  • May 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It actually feels very fluent using Codesignal. The UX is perfect and the challenges are pretty great for their given level.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no newbie-friendly intro. The platform can not really be used to start as a coder. It does not have the tutorialish / educational touch to it but rather challenges for you to learn new things through googling on your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know JS pretty well but I started coding on CodeSignal to learn Java as I managed to land a job that needs it and I have no prior experience with it. It actually helps me shift to thinking in Java rather than Javascript pretty damn well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure that you understand the basics of coding before entering the world of CodeSignal.

amazing platform and it gives varying questions

  • May 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the way UI is designed and challenges are designed to move ahead after solving previous questions. Specially graph questions rare to find.
Also the game way of solving the questions. Completely job interview oriented so it helps more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. But will suggest an addition. I hope it's already in place if not then topic wise questions may be 15-20 each. like for Tree, Dynamic programming, linked lists and likewise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
a lot mostly graphs, arrays, lists, string manipulations and many more. yes, methods to solve them and ways to improve the time complexity.
Also learned Bit manipulation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
just solve questions here, you will enjoy a lot.

I wish there were more Medium type problems as most categories have a variety of easy problems and some hard ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use it for software engineering interview practice

What do you like best about the product?
I love arcade, tournament sections and many more on CodeSignal, I think it's a good idea that CodeSignal should organize more contest like CodeForces, HackerEarth, etc...to find the talented people.

In tournament and challenge sections, many problems are being repeated many times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually solve problems with JavaScript, it helps me learn how to think step-by-step.

Best resource to learn and enhance your coding skills

  • May 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Codesignal provides various types of coding problems for e.g. bug fix, missing code & problem solving. All these different types of questions helps an individual in enhancing coding knowledge. The variety of problems which are provided by codesignal is also nice. I'd love to learn new things from this platform and looking forward to that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes in the tournament the questions are repeated frequently, this should be taken into consideration. I guess by reducing the frequency of repetition of any question it makes the competition fare among all the participants.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me in solving the problem in a specified time. This has improved my ability to solve problems quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Very good problems that push you to the most important concepts in algorithms and data structures.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile experience is not very good, I would like to work on some problems in those moments when I only have my cellphone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interview Practice, Arcade, and daily codefights. I have obtained a job as Software Engineer in a very good company in MX city.

A nice blend of difficulty and polish

  • May 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The "IDE" is polished and easily workable. Many of the early challenges are easy enough to solve with some cheesy solutions, but building efficient ones has been a great exercise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of the challenges have been awkwardly formatted for solving in C, which has been a little disappointing. The challenges could also afford to have a little more variety in length, I feel. Most are solvable in less than 30 lines of code, and while that isn't a reflection of their difficulty by any means, it would be nice to have some more involved ones thrown into the mix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code signal has allowed me to work on a nice assortment of skills that my light education in CIS hasn't exposed me to. I very much enjoy the diversity of supported languages and the polish of the programming environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and see if the difficulty level is right for you.
