Wonderful platform for Coding practice

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the 'gamification' of coding, ability to play against each other. The interface is really nice and I like the new font in the code editor. It's great that you can solve problems targeted towards specific companies via Company Challenges. The assessment platform is a nice way to evaluate your current skills. Overall, it's a great platform to enhance your coding skills. The
What do you dislike about the product?
There should probably be a better way to rank code than the number of characters. Also, there should be some normalization across programming languages. For example, a solution in java is expected to be longer than python. The assessment platform should be made available to the general audience rather than just students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am practicing to improve my coding skills and the speed. I can see improvement in those areas.

Good platform for interview testing

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very similar to other online code challenges so it is not hard to adapt to during an interview. The UI is great and nothing is laggy. I believe the person who is interviewing can also edit the code, which is useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There wasn't much downside to the test I completed online, it was simple and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me connect to an employer online to take a coding test.

Easy to Code on CodeSignal

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think that the best part of Code Signal was how smooth everything transitioned and had tutorials as well as autocomplete.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked how the questions were hard, but that was to be fair.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code Signal helps with how to get better at coding.

You have to practice here more and more if you want to be pro competitive programmer

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Variety in the type of questions and difficulties
- companies bots challenges
- discussion board and forum topics
- the gamified way of problems that keeps you engaged and want to practice more and more (i.e. badges, score, ranking and so on).
What do you dislike about the product?
- Recently daily challenges become so trivial and totally didn't reflect the score that associated to it, this way the rank of people will be not accurate as before.
- There is no real companies interview comes to you when solving companies challenges, also there is no clear and real way to get a job using CodeSignal especially if you are non-US candidate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see the benefits of CodeSignal on my personal skills, as I really improved my problem-solving way of thinking and programming skills while practicing here DAILY.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You have to try practicing in CodeSignal, it will really improve your coding skills

Top Notch

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The beautiful UI. Unlike other platforms, the UI is compelling and it's half the reason I returned here for practice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. The question difficulty is often understated though. A medium question is presented as easy and a hard one is presented as medium.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interview and coding skills assessment practice.

Great platform to code on.

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that when you press ctrl+s, no popup comes like other coding sites. The arcade has been very helpful for me and right now I prefer it over hacker rank. It doesn't seem to have useless/too easy challenges through the arcade process. They align better with what employers would be testing you on.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far not too much to dislike. Would be nice to have the forums better structured for each question. A way to psot code like hacker rank does instead of getting the formatting issues we see now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now no business problems, but I have a few tech interviews coming up through code signal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely the best right now

The perfect place to become a better programmer

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Test-Center is fantastic; it forces you to stay on the tasks at hand and - in the end, rewards you with a score to impress all your friends/colleagues with.

Also, the arcade (a lot of easier programming-tasks) is perfect for learning new programming languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only annoyance I have with Codesignal is that the autocompletion sometimes does not work correctly. But they'll probably fix that soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving at least a problem on the site each day will make anyone a better programmer, it certainly helped me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it, it's free...

A great tool for developers to see where they could improve.

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Code Score is a great too to know where you stand amongst the masses of developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools are somewhat limited, as they recently pivoted to a more test-centric business model, and the services still have some development to go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CodeSignal gave me some actionable feedback once I started moving into the workforce.

Immersive & Complete Training / Evaluation experience

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform transmits quality to the end user, and the level of engagement of all the exercies is kept high all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
No particular bad spots found.
As a suggestion, They may want to implement alternative ways to found solutions to un - resolved exercises, or at least to access hidden tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm running all the interviews within my company taking advantage of Code Signal platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it! Especially when preparing for interviews, or for running interviews yourself.

Best online assessment platform (ide and interpreter)

  • May 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ide is great and it gives a lot of options. It reminds me of using something like Eclipse or intelliJ. For example, when you start typing out HashMap or something similar, there are a lot of options that come up that belong to the corresponding language. This is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. I thought it was great. It has been the best online assessment tool I have used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used CodeSignal for both interview practice and online interview assessments. The interview practice really helps get you prepared for interview questions. It also helps you brush up and go over things you may have forgotten or not worked with in a while.
