Great for sharpening programming skills, makes you more confident during interviews
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me stay in shape in solve algorithmic problems efficiently. CodeSignal encourages short, efficient solutions, so it is stimulating the mindset of finding the best solution instead of just making things work. Also, the tests are very strict, so it makes you think of the edge cases when solving the problems. After a challenge is completed I usually check other users' solutions and learn a lot of interesting uses of language features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have something I dislike. From what I see the product keeps improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me keep in shape, especially in languages I don't actively use in my current projects. I also use it for preparing for interviews and objectively assess my knowledge, compared to other developers.
Good structure but lacks capabilities of advanced IDEs
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to write code as text
Easy to go through quizz questions
Easy to go through quizz questions
What do you dislike about the product?
As a beginner I rely heavily on IDE’s intellisense to write code and that was lacking in depth with code signal IDE
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I took a test for JPMC.
For an online tool it was easy to take test
For an online tool it was easy to take test
good but not memorizable
What do you like best about the product?
maybe the fancy and modularized UI, but you need to think more on this from customer angle
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not have a function to let user see their past questions, for example, I cannot see the questions so that I cannot remember which company I am interviewing with so I cannot answer below questions regarding company names.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
not any at this point
Recommendations to others considering the product:
yes, i will recommend it
Amazing platform to practice your skills
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of challenges and difficulties, the company challenges, the user challenges, and the overall arcade are incredibly well made. And of course, the awesome web IDE which is second to none on my particular experience with other sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some challenges are repeated on the Arcade and some need an update by debugging the hidden questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It accurately assesses my and my individual team members skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it a try
Good experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the feedback is divided into different categories and you can see how you did each time with the triangle like graph.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike not knowing why I got low scores when I did. If you provide better feedback on why you think some implementations weren't good enough and got low points that would help a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using CodeSignal to prepare for job interviews. I think it's a very good platform to interview initially.
Codesignal is a great evaluation test tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy navigation and code editor is very convenient for an online evaluation of your technical expertise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Completion status of the multiple choice questions were still showing 0% even though the question was attempted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used codesignal for evaluating my technical skills.
Evaluation platform that should be standard among IT companies
What do you like best about the product?
Platform is easy to use, so it is not only intended for experienced programmers. My personal favorite is the fact that through Codesignal I can prepare myself for company interviews.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still haven't found any downside of this platform. The only thing that I would like to see in the future is for Codesignal to become a bigger community with members from different areas of expertise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an end user, I prepare myself for coding interviews through Codesignal. The most important benefit would be the fact that excercises are realistic in a way that these types of excercises can be found in repertoires of major IT companies.
Great Platform for Practicing Various Programming Languages
What do you like best about the product?
The UX of the CodeSignal web app is the best of its kind. The code editor is smooth and supports a huge variety of progamming languages, there are multiple options for syntax highlighting as well as code autocomplete, running tests cases is a breeze as well as outputting logs, and even creating custom test cases on a per-problem basis is supported. As a bonus, users can create their own programming challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
The daily challenges have recently become fully automated due to a shift of focus of the company (towards recruiting and assessments/certifications), and tasks from other sections of the site (arcade and tournaments mostly) are re-used for daily challenges, which mitigates their quality. That being said, a community challenge section has been added where users can publish their own challenges, and while there is currently no curation in this section, the user base is very active and as such, interesting challenges are published regularly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving my skills and learning new programming languages. Gaining both knowledge and confidence for interviews.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand that CodeSignal's focus is currently more geared towards recruiting, assessments and certifications, and learning is more of a secondary focus. That being said, there is still plenty of content geared towards learning and improving one's proficiency in terms of programming languages.
User-friendly site for interview preparation
What do you like best about the product?
I like the company bot challenges and the test center feature the most. Additionally, they have a great repertoire of problems for interview preparation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site could focus on competitive programming a bit more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used the platform for interview preparation and occasionally to solve featured daily and problems since I like competitive programming type algorithmic problems. It is a good site to get started with if you are new or just a bit rusty for competitive programming.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for coding interview preparation, it is one of the best sites without pay-wall for problems. Also, if you are just looking for practice for algorithmic problems then this is a good site to start with its varying difficulty of problems in diverse topics.
Nice experience on my internship test
