Overall experience was nice. The questions were well framed and the coding environment was easy.

The clarity of questions and the sample testcase given and explained were really helpful in understanding the question.

There is a huge amount of randomness and luck in what questions you can get which can easily influence your score.

Most problems seem to be in regards to algorithms, which is beneficial to help gauge candidacy potential at the forefront.

The interface for the assessment is very user-friendly.

The time taken to run the test cases is very long.

I was solving coding problems as a part of the interview process. The primary benefit in my opinion, is it allows to switch languages.

The best part about code signal is hands down its UI. That is so simple and intuitive to use.
The question description is pretty elaborate and does not leave any sort of ambiguity in it.
The facility to run the code online and to be able to directly pull the code locally using a git is like the cherry on top.

What do you dislike about the product?
The part where we transition between online ide and pull it locally is a little glitchy. The animation can be made smoother.
The part when we resize the window with the coding part manually the entire screen goes black which is a little frustrating.
More coding languages can be provided to cater to larger audience

Code signal is being used as a hiring platform to examine the candidate's expertise in specific domains and her skills.
This can be extended to development of software if we can make the experience more smooth and consistent

It is feature-packed. And provides some cool stuff like cloning the code locally and pushing it directly which is first in the industry

Best platform for technical assessment
What do you like best about the product?
Good UI, functionality, and code compilation features. Many languages are supported. Good experience in running programs. Nice error detection features. Best UI in general :)
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited test cases for running the programs. I think better test cases will resolve much of technical coding problems.

What do you like best about the product?
If the portal reconnects, it just starts from where you left off and not the beginning. This helped me save my progress and continue the answers that I was writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, even when the Internet connection is working properly on your device, the portal keeps getting disconnected so you need to connect it again to be able to answer the questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been giving online technical coding assessments as the first round of interviews for different companies on CodeSignal. The benefit is that the companies can judge whether I was fair in my answers or not.
