Challenging question to answer in an hour
What do you like best about the product?
Questions were challenging and the level of difficulty varying with each question
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports are not informative. It does not provide much information to the user to improve oneself.
As the time constrain for 4 questions is just 70 minutes, extra time could be provided with penalty (negative points).
As the time constrain for 4 questions is just 70 minutes, extra time could be provided with penalty (negative points).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not a active user of codesignal
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The question bank of code signal is diverse with varying level of difficulty, One could benefit by using it.
Good Platform, Scoring Algorithm could be better
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is clean and straightforward to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Debugging is rather difficult in the platform. The scoring algorithm docks too many points for speed in the general assessment test. I was working on a few edge cases and I was penalized too heavily for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved quite a few problems for practice with SQL. I have also taken the general coding assessment and the practice assessment. I like the fact that the practice questions are grouped by category so I can strengthen my concepts based on category
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely start by practicing the practice assessment before moving on to the general coding assessment. This will allow you to get a feel for how the platform works and how to view/debug your code.
I have given 4 tests on CodeSignal
What do you like best about the product?
Questions are good. Wide languages are supported. Autocomplete helps to code fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scoring criteria are not clear. I attempted all questions and passed all test cases, scored 300/300 for every question still scored less out of 850.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have just given coding assessments for software engineer roles.
Not bad overall
What do you like best about the product?
The difficulty and timing settings are reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you switch between problems, the time you spend is counted on both problems. This is quite unreasonable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is just a required online assessment for one of my job interviews.
Emerging platform
What do you like best about the product?
Good way to show coding skills to companies with only one test
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t a way to standardize the question difficulty for all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to complete online assessments for multiple companies with just one test.
Great standardized evaluation method for determining a candidate's coding abilities.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user interface. It is very intuitive. It is very easy to submit coding questions. It's also very easy to understand your coding report, and what factors were used to determine your score. CodeSignal is also great because you can do the General Assessment once and send it to multiple companies instead of having to do a specific coding assessment for each company.
What do you dislike about the product?
The questions could be easier to read. Although the part where you code is great and easy to read, the questions are long and hard to read at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am learning more about different languages using CodeSignal. I have learned quite a bit about Python tips and tricks that have helped me in interviews.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly recommend companies to use CodeSignal for their benefit and for the benefit of their candidates.
Codesignal helped me hone my skills by testing me to my limits.
What do you like best about the product?
The coding environment is well suited for tests. The placement of coding area, test cases and problem statement is ambient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Problems are more difficult as compared to other platforms but I do not dislike it so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tougher Data Structure and Algorithms questions on Codesignal has helped me prepare well for job interviews.
Seamless experience
What do you like best about the product?
The platform was very intuitive. Easy to switch between questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much really. All the security features were a little stressful but that's necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I just did some interview questions with CodeSignal
Great code experience
What do you like best about the product?
Different themes and the auto-complete option.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only had one experience, so there's nothing I can complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Technical interviews. Pair programming is a good benefit.
Good experience.
What do you like best about the product?
The question sets the platform has, so we could practice more questions. When the company use CodeSignal to assess the candidates’ ability, it would be more accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing for now, but I guess could have more test sets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many problems. Just have more practice.
