Great problem solving environment
What do you like best about the product?
CodeSignal has really intuitive user interface. Also problems are picked carefully to show coding and algorithmic skills of the candidate to hiring company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the editor could have a language specific completion/specific feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have completed many screening rounds of interviews with CodeSignal and successfully passed to the next stages of recruitment.
Really cool experience but certain improvements are needed
What do you like best about the product?
Interface is perfect, auto-complete support is great
What do you dislike about the product?
The timing counting discourages solving in non-sequential order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The code test requested by other companies. But they rejected me without any reason despite 840+ score. So your resume is more important.
Very smooth, user friendly interface.
What do you like best about the product?
Functionality of code completion in the code editor, and syntax highlighting.
The questions were easy to understand and challenging at the same time.
Super smooth video call for the interview

Super smooth video call for the interview
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, there's nothing that I disliked. But just a suggestion that you can increase the number of questions database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online coding interview with video call and screen sharing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an awesome tool for learning coding, as well as hiring new talent. Highly recommended.
This is the best platform for coding challenges. Congratulations!
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and the detailed description of the problem to solve.
What do you dislike about the product?
I couldn't use JavaScript. The rest is just perfect!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used it for a job interview. I completed all the tasks because it's a real simulation of what coding is like. I didn't get the job, but it was a great experience!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make it your default platform to challenge candidates. You will not regret!
Code Signal Certified Test
What do you like best about the product?
Objective score that can be used by companies to evaluate candidates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Problems are randomly pulled from Code Signal database. It was supposed to be 2 easy, 1 medium and 1 hard question but was actually 3 easy and 1 medium difficulty problem. There should at least be a graph based question to properly evaluate candidates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interview questions. The online IDE is slick and easy to use and the questions help prep my problem solving skills.
Really good experience
What do you like best about the product?
- Really comfortable platform experience
- Interesting and challenging problems
- Interesting and challenging problems
What do you dislike about the product?
- Code completion and similar IDE functionalities could be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I took a coding assessment in a recruitment process
Impressive and thorough platform, with very good user interface.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which one can use different functionalities of the platform while giving a test and the feature which involved auto completion of the code .
What do you dislike about the product?
The scoring criteria based on time. For eg. The time devoted to an individual question was calculated from the point user visited that question for the first time and even if the user was not attempting that question or switched to other question without making a submission for the previous one, the time was being added to the previous question (even though the user was not on that question the whole time ). This should be rectified in a way that time for a particular question should be calculated in a way that it notes that time only which is spent on the question.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems which have helped me in my interview preparations.
CodeSignal Review
What do you like best about the product?
The quality of the questions is really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time provided for the assessment is quite low. 70 minutes for 4 questions is like you are expecting a competitive sport programmer level of skill. In the real world, not many are good competitive programmers and even a person who is not a good competitive programmer can still become a good Software Engineer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am practicing interview questions on the platform regularly. As I already told above, the quality of questions and the online judge experience is really good.
CodeSignal's unique experience
What do you like best about the product?
The scoring system which took speed into account and gave a detailed report. Also, a metric of showing competence in each areas of coding was helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The information that a graded test can be only taken after 2 weeks need to be put out more visibly. I'm glad I did well in the first attempt but if had I done poorly, I would miss out on some companies as they have strict deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used it for a company assessment only. But liked the unique first time experience because I have used a lot of platforms for preparing and giving Interviews. Most of them are following an older way, CodeSignal was new and unique in its gamification style coding.
Interesting questions on platform and tests with high variance output
What do you like best about the product?
I like the questions both available publicly and on the assessment -- they're bite sized and fun to think about and often don't require a rigorous explanation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The output of the test is high variance; I took it twice, did much better the second time, but ended up getting a worse score. I also feel like the publicly available questions are a lot easier than the ones on the assessment, which makes it hard to prep. Finally, the interface is kinda buggy in high DPI zoomed in displays, and it's also very *very* slow when loading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CodeSignal makes recruiting a little easier. I only have to take one test to send to all companies. This saves time on my end as an applicant.
