The platform is amazingly easy to use and code. Lot of cool features to cut down on redundant tasks
What do you like best about the product?
The Platform is really great with code completion and structured code features. Very easy to use and handy. Lots of interesting problems to solve for data structures and algorithms. Also comes in handy while preparing for interviews as we only need to code the logic and not the entire code so saves a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of now. The platform looks good and is easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had recently given an assessment on this platform and I have also used it before for ds algo preparation. Needless to say, the platform has a good repo of coding questions to solve which help with interview preparation. A lot of companies also use this platform for their coding assessments. saves code so that it is not lost when internet connection breaks down.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This platform is good for beginners, professionals and people looking to prepare for interviews as it contains a good repository of coding questions and you only have to code the logic and not the entire code. Questions are segregated based on data structure, complexity and a lot of other filters which helps you to identify your weak points and work on those.
Great questions, I like the way code signal is proctored and provides detailed feedback.
What do you like best about the product?
The detailed feedback that we received after questions are completed. It gives me a complete understanding of what to work on. For example, the code signal gives me various attributes for the questions answers like the timing, coding standards i.e Implementation, coding speed, and problem-solving. This helps me focus on the region I need to improve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time frame would have be more per question. The community is comparatively very less compare to other coding sites. It would be great if the code signal provides a forum like a user interface where apart from practicing the user can also learn the data structures and algorithms like Strings, Arrays, Queues, LinkedList, Trees, Graphs, Binary trees, N-array trees, sorting algorithms like insertion sort, selection sort, quick sort, merge sort, topological sort, etc.. Also, it would be great if it can provide question with respect to various companies along with its frequency of asking in the interview. Also, it would be great to have a discussion forum for each question so there is a way to get unlock when we got stuck with the question. as feedback, it would be great to have peert programming and interviews as added as a feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All types coming from data structures like Strings, Arrays, Queues, LinkedList, Trees, Graphs, Binary trees, N-array trees, sorting algorithms like insertion sort, selection sort, quick sort, merge sort, topological sort, etc.. As mentioned earlier, the feedback is of great benefit

Good mixture of questions
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how the test was split into 4 questions of varying complexity to test the test taker's aptitude in facing different types of problems. The grading is holistic and takes into account time, correctness etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I felt the time allotted was a little short for me, especially given how difficult the last question usually is.
Many companies would only interview test takers who scored perfectly on all questions (810+), while the grading description states that even coders who score 600-700 will be productive as a SDE.

I solved a cycle detection problem with code signal. It allowed me to review my knowledge in graph search algorithms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend it as an alternative to other coding challenge platforms, since the challenge is easy to use and reveals more about the candidate's capabilities.

The best thing of codesignal is that are different types of challenges and you can improve your skills really quickly

Sometimes you are stuck and to saw a solution you have to change coins but you it is not a big deal cause there is a discussion section

The flexibility it has to do remote interviewing, that doesn't work only for normal algorith interviews but even for design interviews and Pair Programming ones.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it to be even more integrated with greenhouse or other platforms, or I'd like blogs posts from CodeSignal about how to better integrate both platforms and save time to your recruiting and hiring teams.

Good Experience Interviewing with Companies
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is really easy to use and didn't take time to get accustomed to. It was almost as if I was working on my personal IDE which made the experience smooth and allowed me to code without getting frustrated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't really have any problems using CodeSignal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coding problems. The automatic suggestions given by CodeSignals helped me to code with greater ease and improved my speed which is essential when tackling competitive coding problems.
A good mix of skils
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the assessments have a good mix of skills and even have a bit of leeway for some questions that may not fit your interest or are just some of your weaker skills.
Edit: I've realized that CodeSignal has the best IDE experience of all other competitors I've used. And the "Company Challenges" are a fantastic way to get people an idea of what is expected of them

I would prefer if there was a way to see the report for past assessments
Edit: Since this review I've been using CodeSignal quite a lot and I've found how to check the Report. I don't know if it's my fault or if it's something that was added later on.
However, I've also found out that CodeSignal doesn't handle all IDE errors properly. On multiple occasions I've got a 505 error instead of an error due to faulty code.

CodeSignal makes it easy to take tests that can be used for interview pre-screening. I've also used it to practice my programming and it has some fun tasks.

I did not find a theme setting change, it would be better if there was an option for opting either light or dark theme.
I also did not see an option to maximize the size of either window like on some platforms where we can see the question in full screen or the code pad on a full screen.
That would be more helpful.
Also the question did not fit the screen, scrolling the screen repeatedly to see the input constraints and limits was time consuming.

I am practicing questions on basic concepts and data structures to revise those concepts.
These question cover various concepts of DS and Algorithms helping to understand the concepts better.
The questions helps to read and interpret the algorithm quickly and thus making the speed to write the code and implement the solution quickly

I couldn't remember the problems but problems are hard enough.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it's the one of the best software in their area. And they should use CodeSignal for their hiring process. Also, this software helps using data driven dashboards to visualize their candidates' hiring process. Another good point of the CodeSignal Is about candidate's side is clean and useful IDE for coding. I'm writing C++ and. I think CodeSignal's IDE is as clear as possible and easy also useful for writing code. My other advice is for candidates. They can trust the clean IDE and they can easily fit the IDE. For example SublimeText users can easily fit the platform.
