The website has a generally good user experience.
What do you like best about the product?
The levels system, the variety of problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some problems are not well defined. Large points would be deducted for hints or hidden test cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mainly solving problems to help me with my coding tests for interviews.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Challenges and Interview Practice are cool. They will blow your mind and help you build problem solving capabilities.
CodeSignal First Thoughts
What do you like best about the product?
CodeSignal has a great interface. It is very easy to navigate and use and the amount of work put in to learn the environment and structure of CodeSignal was very bearable. I didn't get frustrated with working through the platform and enjoyed seeing the code run and perform well.
What do you dislike about the product?
CodeSignal sometimes have a few bugs in the system. Obviously, this isn't a huge problem for the daily user and these bugs aren't breaking the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solved problems that involved array manipulation and accessing as well as problems that required parsing through dictionaries. These problems were made clearer by being able to print out the data structures and see what was really going on through the code that I wrote. CodeSignal was fast and reliable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
CodeSignal is easy to use and great for starters.
Multiple Experiences with CodeSignal
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that the test is video and audio proctored makes it close to impossible for someone to cheat and honest test-takers like me liked that a lot
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be a way to communicate about wrong questions or test cases to the original test taker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've taken online assessments for multiple companies like Quora on CodeSignal and liked the overall experience.
the questions were nice increasing the toughness from easy to hard
What do you like best about the product?
the pattern of questions for the role which is more relative and covered the topics around it
What do you dislike about the product?
the interface can be more lively it looks clumsy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving Data Structures Questions
It was a good experience
What do you like best about the product?
Good platform, all was nice and smooth!!
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe simplify the code writing process by automatically importing all libraries, so I don't have to do that by myself. A better coding space and a better testing space would be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I did an interview challenge. There were no particular benefits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is good.
Great Platform for Coding Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that the UI is very smooth and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly can't think of anything I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CodeSignal makes coding challenges fair by virtual proctoring.
Great Coding Challenge Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Smoothness of the test, no confusion, no slowness.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, everything worked as predicted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing my coding challenges.
Prove your real coding skill
What do you like best about the product?
CodeSignal provides various platform support like c++, objective C, Java , JS, Python and etc to compile and execute test cases against your coding and giving real challenge to prove your coding skill.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only students can able to take the coding test for now. It would be great it allows people with business email to take one or two free test.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It made me to think about various negative test cases which improves my coding skill.
Very good experience
What do you like best about the product?
The coding platform is excellent, while the coding challenges cover different topics and difficulties.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have to use my coins to unlock other questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of different questions. Because the questions are assigned to different categories and difficulties, it's easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly recommend you to use this coding platform to practice coding skills. The first reason is a lot of big companies used the platform to evaluate your coding skills, namely the online assessment. Thus, using code signal to practice can make you a little big more familiar with the platform and get better scores as a result. The second reason is the coding challenges there is quite different from what you have learned from courses, and could be a little bit self-provoking. Great learning experience here.
Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like the game-ish design and the achievements, and the online IDE works very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to unlock the higher level difficulty is a pain, as you have to go through a bunch of easier stuff. It'd be nice if I could challenge myself sooner. For example, with Leetcode or Hackerrank, you can do any question you'd like. It would also be nice to have solutions ready and discussions around a particular question. For the coding challenges, we should not have to manually write an expected output, as they can be very long. This can be a problem when we are doing the challenge, as we don't really have the time to write them out, nor do we really now if what we've wrote is a correct expected output.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it really helps people who are new to competitive programming, as the leader board and achievements can help motivate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it has everything you'd need from this kind of product, but may need to distinguish itself more from competitors. I would mainly recommend this software to people who are new to competitive programming, and want to start from the ground up. It has a fun game-ified take to learning competitive programming, which seems to be what a lot of learning software do nowadays. However, for experienced users, I would not particularly recommend CodeSignal, since it seems like a lot of the challenging questions need to be unlocked first, which can be very tedious.
