Finally, we found a financial planning system that replaced Excel.
What do you like best about the product?
Certainly, the possibility of creating various versions and the dynamism for reports to executives is excellent. The rolling forecast throughout the year is greatly facilitated with this functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some activities, such as copying calculated versions, are very onerous, taking several hours. Moreover, feeder problems are constant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The adjustments requested by the executives are easily entered into the system. The forecasting exercise that used to take weeks, we now complete from start to finish in 3 days.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Planning is the real-time data collection, with all movements being reflected online in the demonstration reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some rare occasions during the round of a process when users input data and there is an issue with that input. As a result, we have to run a lengthy process to correct the balances or movements...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know of any problem that is being solved.

What do you like best about the product?
It is highly valuable for its real-time data processing, robusts capabilities and flexible modeling. The integration with tools like Excel and ERP systems is very good. But the most impressive to me is the way in-memory engine ensures fast performance while self-services features empower users to make data-driven decision with agility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The slow and sometimes ineffective technical support for IBM Planning Analytics, which can delay issue resolution. Additionally, IBM tends to discontinue features abruptly, often without offering clear migration paths or equivalent replacements, which impacts continuity and planning for users

It helps to solve key challenges by centralizing data, improving accuracy, enabling real-time scenario analysis, reduces manual work, enhance collaboration across departments, supports decision-making through automation and advanced modeling

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about IBM Planning Analytics is the flexibility to create customized planning and budgeting models, combined with the performance of TM1. The ability to integrate with Excel via PAX and the possibility to automate complex processes make the work more efficient and dynamic. Furthermore, the multidimensional structure allows for quick and in-depth analyses, optimizing decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be a bit steep for new users, especially for those who are not familiar with multidimensional concepts or scripting in TurboIntegrator. Additionally, some features of the PAW interface are still limited compared to Excel, which can impact the user experience in more specific scenarios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work helping clients resolve issues related to financial and HR planning, such as headcount projections, personnel budgeting, sales targets, and data consolidation. IBM Planning Analytics has greatly facilitated this process, mainly by allowing the creation of flexible and automated models. This reduces errors, saves time, and improves clients' decision-making. In the end, my work also becomes more agile and efficient.

I like to create reports and new structures within the tool. Besides the robustness in handling and processing large amounts of data.

The complexity in the use of processes and rules.

Automation of processes, creation of dynamic reports, creation of interfaces for internal processes, handling of large volumes of data.
Very deep and professional Software for big companies
What do you like best about the product?
It offers strong data visualization features that make complex data easier to analyze and interpret, which is critical in financial decision-making and being cloud-based, it enables users to access the platform anywhere, which is a significant advantage for organizations with remote teams or global operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
he system is powerful but complex. New users especially those without a technical or TM1 background may find it difficult to learn and navigate without substantial training, also when dealing with very large datasets or complex models, performance can slow down, especially if the architecture isn’t optimized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams rely on static spreadsheets, causing version control issues, delays, and silos usually but now they use more centralized models and real-time collaboration ensure everyone works from the same data and assumptions.

The dynamism is phenomenal — the ability to change a simple assumption and instantly generate different simulations for financial planning in a fast and online manner is amazing.

What do you dislike about the product?
Every tool has room for improvement. I believe IBM Planning Analytics could have better control over RAM consumption and offer clearer logging during the SDATA service startup process. After all, it’s unclear when feeder reprocessing will occur or how long the service will take to become available again.

IBM Planning Analytics addresses challenges in HR, forecast budgeting, and financial planning. It enables quick simulations, improves data control, and reduces manual work, boosting agility and decision quality.

Easy use and development. Currently, the Workspace is greatly helping with the user experience.

I believe that the graphic constructions in the workspace need to be better developed.

Basically, it is possible to solve various problems of a financial nature, but what is surprising is the speed of calculation and data consolidation - it is the greatest benefit I have found.

We still have many bugs. Example: When there is an error in rules, the system is not indicating the line that contains the error. In the Turbos, this is working.
