  • January 26, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use IBM Planning Analytics for budgeting, forecasting, and finance consolidation. It really helps me consolidate figures and manage data and security. I love that it enables multiple users to work at the same time. There are endless possibilities with it, and I haven't faced a problem yet that we can't solve. I value the ability to make applications that work for both advanced users and day-to-day tasks. It replaced multiple worksheets and automated a lot of previous manual work. The initial setup was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the who implements this for you the learning curve can be challaging for some users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM Planning Analytics to consolidate figures, manage data and security, and enable multiple users. It replaced multiple worksheets and automated a lot of our manual processes.

Great and ease product

  • July 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform’s flexibility is impressive — changing assumptions instantly updates financial simulations. It saves time, cuts costs, and turns complex data into clear, actionable insights. Its multidimensional view helps make quick, well-informed decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
New users may struggle at first due to the complexity of cubes and rules, limiting wider adoption. Performance tends to slow during peak periods like month-end, which can delay processes. More consistency is needed under heavy usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool replaces scattered spreadsheets and manual work with a centralized, automated system. It ensures data consistency, traceability, and real-time updates—reducing effort and boosting confidence in analysis and governance.

Enhancing Strategic Planning and Agility with TM1

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What stands out in TM1 is the ability to model complex business scenarios without relying heavily on external spreadsheets. It brings structure to planning processes while still allowing custom logic, which is especially useful in a fast-paced financial environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of TM1 is how unintuitive some of its advanced features can be for new users. Setting up hierarchies or troubleshooting data issues often requires deep platform knowledge, which slows down onboarding and makes knowledge transfer harder within the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TM1 addresses the challenge of maintaining consistency across multiple planning cycles and business units. By centralizing data and logic, it reduces versioning issues and ensures that everyone works from a single source of truth. This leads to faster validations, fewer reconciliation steps, and more confidence in the numbers during tight closing periods.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Using TM1 as a developer is working with a powerful, flexible, and performance-oriented platform; its in-memory architecture ensures agility in processing, even with large volumes of data. I believe that the freedom of modeling is a great differentiator, always being able to deliver what was aligned with the business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that the user interface visualization for PAW is still very limited, resulting in screens that are not very responsive in terms of UX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By working with a large volume of data, we achieve fast data processing and availability for Key Users to proceed with analyses, and also great ease in scenario simulation, aiding in decision-making.

Driving Efficiency and Governance Through Advanced TM1 Development

  • June 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about TM1 is the ability to design end-to-end planning solutions that combine both performance and control. I enjoy how the platform allows me to implement robust governance through security settings, while still offering flexibility to adapt models quickly as business needs change. It’s a powerful balance between structure and agility.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like about TM1 is the complexity involved in scaling models across different business units. While TM1 offers flexibility, maintaining consistency and performance across large, decentralized teams can be challenging, especially when dealing with complex, interdependent calculations and data sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TM1 helps solve the challenge of aligning financial and operational planning in one integrated environment. By connecting data across departments, it eliminates information silos and supports faster, more reliable decision-making. This helps me deliver solutions that not only meet technical requirements but also bring real value to business users by improving visibility and coordination.

Optimizing Financial Performance Through Scalable TM1 Development

  • June 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is the power and flexibility of TurboIntegrator and Rules for creating custom, automated solutions. TM1 gives me full control to build tailored models that fit the exact needs of the business, and I enjoy how scalable and fast the engine is when handling complex calculations across large datasets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like about TM1 is the lack of modern development tools and debugging support. Developing in TurboIntegrator can feel outdated, with limited syntax highlighting, version control, or error tracing. This makes maintaining and troubleshooting code more time-consuming than it should be, especially in larger, more complex applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves critical problems related to data integration, automation, and performance in planning and reporting processes. It allows me to centralize data from multiple sources, automate repetitive tasks, and deliver fast, real-time calculations. This helps me streamline system maintenance, reduce manual errors, and ensure that the business has reliable, up-to-date information to support decision-making.
