What do you like best about the product?

Experienced consultants and very experienced internal auditors helping us to prepare for the external audit professionally and timely.

What do you dislike about the product?

The software platform appears to be a database application with only very little integrated workflows and automation. Still a few annoying (known) bugs and a to be improved useability for specific frameworks. Pull down list (risk management) are far too long to be useful (e.g.)

building a proper ISMS and to obtain a ISO 27001 certificate

What do you like best about the product?

DataGuard combines an easy-to-use compliance platform with expert guidance. It helped us structure and organize our ISO 27001 implementation, centralize our policies and audit evidence, and stay on top of day-to-day compliance activities. The platform’s structured approach, together with the knowledgeable consultants, significantly reduced the effort needed to prepare for certification and to manage ongoing audits.

What do you dislike about the product?

The initial setup and onboarding take some effort, and a few workflows can feel more structured than flexible. That said, I see this as part of the trade-off for having a well-organized compliance framework overall.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataGuard helped us build an ISO 27001-compliant ISMS by pairing expert consulting with a well-structured platform. This combination sped up our implementation, reduced uncertainty along the way, and supported us in preparing successfully for our certification audits.

What do you like best about the product?

It provides a guideline for the introduction of ISO 27001 including NIS2. Additionally, the frequent meetings with the consultant are very helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?

The system is sometimes "lock-in", data can usually no longer be exported. User management is inconsistent across several areas and can usually not be edited as an admin.

Good advice and support as an external data protection officer.

What do you dislike about the product?

Previous response: Quite expensive offer with little customization. Classic consulting for individual topics is no longer the company's concept, but an off-the-shelf system is not suitable for all companies. Those looking for this are in the right place. In the years 2023/24, the personnel situation in the IT security sector was also difficult, so the price/performance ratio was not right even with an individual contact person at the time. However, the privacy area performs very well, which is mainly due to the commitment of individual employees (shout out to Hanna). To be fair, DataGuard must be credited with compensating for the lack of performance before the initial ISO27001 certification with a discount that restored the price-performance balance.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

ISO27001 training, external DPO including contract management for AVVs. Saves us time because we cannot do this ourselves.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about DataGuard is the rare combination of smart software automation and actual human expert support. Instead of leaving you stranded with rigid templates or scattered spreadsheets, the platform gives you a clear, centralized system for all your GDPR and compliance tracking while backing it up with real consultants who can answer tricky regulatory questions. It completely takes the stress out of audit prep and day-to-day maintenance, saving our team a massive amount of time. Highly recommended if you want structured compliance without losing the human touch. It's definitely an investment, but totally worth it. Compared to hiring expensive external legal consultants by the hour, getting both the software platform and real expert support bundled together makes it very cost-effective and saves a ton of money.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main downside is the steep initial learning curve and a somewhat cluttered interface. Setting everything up requires more time and patience than expected, and fine-tuning basic templates to fit internal processes can occasionally feel too rigid.

DataGuard eliminates the chaos of scattered spreadsheets and manual guesswork for GDPR and compliance tracking. It benefits us by centralizing all our requirements into one clear platform with expert support, drastically cutting down audit stress and saving our team countless hours.

There is nothing to complain about, all employees are friendly and competent.

Data protection issues and all related problems, we benefit from Dataguard with competent requirements for our clients.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate the reliable, fast, and precise support from Malte Rowe, which comes with clear, actionable recommendations instead of legal fog. He thoroughly reviews our documents, provides suitable templates, and clearly tells us what exactly needs to be done, allowing us to reach a release-ready result within a few weeks. Also, DataGuard's ability to make complex topics like third-country transfers and the use of AI legally secure and understandable, without us having to build our own data protection expertise, is a great advantage.

What do you like best about the product?

Our external data protection officer Hanna Shin always supports us promptly with urgent projects and prioritizes the most important tasks. This is particularly helpful for dynamic developments alongside, for example, the audit reports.

What do you dislike about the product?

The platform requires good knowledge in the field of data protection, which is not always present among some employees in supportive/supplying roles regarding the terminology.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataGuard / our contact person relieves us by providing support in adapting our extensively established structures and processes in the data protection area, allowing us to be more active in shaping new projects.

What do you like best about the product?

Humanising a pre-audit to ensure you're fully informed about what is to come, doing the check in a friendly and helpful manner. Specifically Jeruya T our internal auditor was unbelievably helpful throughout the whole process and helped us understand where the gaps in our documentation were and how to address them, doing it in a way that was clear, helpful and not making us feel bad for not having already addressed the issues.

What do you like best about the product?

The platform impresses with user-friendly navigation, high availability, and good performance. The support is very good and responds reliably to inquiries. The supporting staff provide expert assistance in the targeted use of the platform and offer valuable support during its introduction and application.

What do you dislike about the product?

Determine functions and areas, such as the Academy and the risk platform, that could be improved or expanded.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The high professional competence of the employees, as well as the platform with its numerous useful functions and information, particularly support the establishment and continuous development of an effective ISMS. Furthermore, the compliance platform enables comprehensive and clear handling of data protection-related issues.
