Retail and Learning in the 21st Century

  • January 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Docebo's has integrated features to have 'n' amount of users involved to learn a primary goal. It also allows learners to enhance the 'learning at your own pace' feature based on a calendar designed for them. Designing courses and altering them based on user skill sets allows us experts to know where our team lacks and what needs to be focused on per learner.

The ability to reward learners through gamification is also a very interesting feature to reward them virtually and recognize them for their efforts.
The unique feature in my opinion would be the ability to deep dive into courses and learning material, creating an informal learning culture powered by user interactions such as comments, videos and posts on courses. Having such informal approach enables the learners to be curious and spend more time on the LMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
What can be improved is the UI on mobile app (Go Learn). Admin features could be handy on the app as well as most of us learners are always on the go and would prefer the mobile app to replicate most of the features a PC could.
There are limitations to home page widgets on the mobile app too which doesn't give the same user experience as compared to PC (activity feed)

Furthermore, I hope Docebo could have an option where users can get notified of their deadline to courses via push/email/slack. This would allow the LMS to allow the learners complete courses before the due date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning in business has changed since 2020. We've adapted to virtual learning techniques such as webinars, e-courses, challenges from home. Docebo has helped us capitalize this method very well. Our learners appreciate the LMS for not just learning purposes but also their ability to communicate and share knowledge with the entire team.

Beware

What do you like best about the product?
I like the features to create different types of learning modes, Instructor led, E-learning, etc.
I love the course widgets. and the layout of the course for the learners is very professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
First of all, they just introduced a new feature called Docebo Connect. This means that all the native integrations they previously had will now go away and will be fee-based. We paid a large sum of money to connect Docebo to Shopify with APIs; then they said that the native integrations with Shopify will now be removed, and everything will have to be paid for through Docebo Connect. The account manager is not helpful and they do not share information clearly with us. They don't offer suggestions to help us improve our workflow, and they try to find every possible way to bill you for more money.
The e-commerce features are very limited, and we keep losing hundreds of users every month because they drop off the shopping cart and don't go through with the purchase.
I do not like the subscriptions either.
The integration with zoom is extremely buggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making our learning visible. We want to create a professional online shop for all of our training courses and allowing students to purchase and complete learning in an easy and user-friendly way.

Not right for our organization

  • January 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to brand the platform for our organization (colors, logos, etc). The UI is attractive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are several critical features missing from Docebo that my organization needs with just a few examples being the ability to test notifications, the ability to require click-through on all slides with the google integration, making it easier to change fonts when you're setting up training material descriptions. There are weird hiccups almost every day, like I can't change the number of questions on a test if anyone is in progress. I can't view how many times someone has attempted a test. You can't assign a certificate to a specific user. If you look through the ideas portal and my chat history you'll see several more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the basic function of delivering a learning experience through courses. Benefits include easily seeing who has completed courses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Doesn't work great for smaller organization LMS

Next Level User Interfaces - Focus on Simplicity - But Not Perfect

  • January 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- I love being able to provide clean and intuitive experiences for my users. I have a lot of opportunity to create lots of different pages using their awesome widget system.
- The level of innovation they are bringing to the LMS space is nothing short of amazing, and the speed that they make updates to their platform is incredible. In the short 3 years I've used the platform, I've seen multiple systems improved drastically. If you want a system that is future proof, this is the one you want to use.
- My customer success managers have always been very friendly, and my new one seems even more responsive than my last.
- The improvements they've made to support, especially the implementation of the chat system, has been a huge improvement to the help desk. It's nice to have someone to chat with should issues arise in the platform, especially if I'm out of the office.
- Extended enterprise allows you to provide completely different experiences based on your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
- I feel like they nickel and dime you a bit, separating their platform into different buckets and charging you more for everything they can. I understand they are a business, and they need to support new innovations, but sometimes it's a bit over the top. Especially when putting this much effort into new systems rather than fixing your old ones. If the LMS was in a more finalized state, rather than having half of the back end still existing on legacy pages, I may be more accepting of this.
- Ability to control visibility of courses doesn't exist in the courses itself, and must be managed by course catalogs.
- Ability to control widget or page visibility doesn't exist, with only the menu system (which houses the pages, pages house the widgets) allows you to control visibility.
- The entire system is very much built around their antiquated enrollment system. It seems they've made some improvements.
- Their customer ideas portal is not great unless you have a need that hundreds of other people have, and those people end up seeing your idea and voting for it, which is very unlikely to happen unless they take the time to go to the ideas page, and browse.
- No access to back end programming, and limited access to any white glove service means that when you have an issue with the platform, you either cannot fix it, or have to hope that you can pay Docebo to make the improvement you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- We provide training for our customers as our main focus, both in terms of sales and service. Simply having an update to date learning system, coming from our home grown LMS, gives us more clout.
- We focus on enabling technicians to work on our equipment effectively and efficiently, to minimize calls to our tech call center and warranty claims.
- We also utilize ecommerce to sell training to different audiences. This assists us to recoup our costs.

Docebo is nice as LMS

  • January 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the software itself and the staff who anytime we have problem do the best to assist us. The platform is easy to use both for administrators and for final users. Every now and then Docebo release updates and more functionality, which is good as IT field is in continuos progress.

Recently a page has been modified and as a result, the power users instead of enrolling one person, they enrolled many (about thousands) without even realizing. Than we have to cancell all of them to reinstate the situation as it was before.
This is a negative aspect. But as soon as we have had a meeting with Docebo staff, we asked if it was possible to change slightly the layout and they did it great! Now it works perfectly
What do you dislike about the product?
Some changes in the layout, although might be useful for the whole project have created problems to our staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have put in place a LMS that allow our staff to be compliant with all mandatory courses. At the beginning people were not using LMS, as they all attended instructors led classes, now (specially if we consider the period we all are living with the effect of Covid) we are all very happy to have this platform.
Having an LMS allow people to attend courses whenever they can, this is a sort of things that cannot be done with instrutors led classes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your organization, will consider using Docebo, and if you are new to LMS platform, I might recommed to chose very well the Admins Staff. They must have IT knowledge and probably also a wide knowledge of IT in general. This will create value for your organization.
If they are also Subject Matter Expert of at least some topics, this will help

Great Cloud-Based LMS!

  • January 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive it is, and there is a good knowledge base (and support) too. They are always updating and adding new features to the platform, and we continue to implement these updates to improve our processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Communication about planned updates or the status of ideas on the ideas portal could improve. I like having the ability to submit ideas on the idea portal, but we rarely receive communication about the status of that idea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication with people in our courses, and enrolling individuals in courses, has been streamlined significantly. I love the automation features and the ability to schedule reports.

    E-Learning

Docebo is a useful platform that facilitates most of our requirements.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can use the sandbox to test out the latest features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Features that can help us manage the learning plan page more effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To resolve issues on shortcode tags on the notification events. We can create notifications on multiple languages, and it can be branded.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The multidomain feature is great for resellers or partners. You can have your own branded platform.
