What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, ease and convinence bundled with a plethora of features that has made testing and test orchestraion a cake walk. Scaling up is also pretty easy and fast

Best thing about Katalon is that a person doesn't need to have knowledge of coding for creating and executing automation scripts. It is compatible with all the operating systems such as Windows, MACod and Linux.

Every tool has its cons so do Katalon has. 1- It has a small community which restricts the user to implement new things as answers are not so easy to find.

It solves the problem of requirement of high skilled people to use automation tool like others. I am using the tool to test web application parallel in 2 browsers with least time. It given me the test reports with accurate results.

The product’s regression testing time could be reduced. The dashboards also take too much time to load. Additionally, its licenses are expensive. We have to purchase two licenses, including an enterprise license and a KRE license.

It is a stable platform.

I have contacted the product’s technical support team regarding CI/CD queries twice or thrice. Their services are good.

For Selenium, we need to have quite a good programming knowledge to automate any project. We have to write code for the entire configuration. Katalon has a good interface and is already configured.
How was the initial setup?
It is easy to install. It takes five minutes to complete and requires two people for installation. The complexity of maintenance depends on the automation framework.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is expensive. We have purchased its monthly basis license.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend the product to customers willing to pay for the licenses. But, if the company has good programming knowledge, I recommend Selenium.

Although, the debugging process is time-consuming for larger test cases. It takes a long time to begin the test from the start and navigate it.

The solution's initial setup has medium complexity. It takes work to identify AJAX controls and then implement them. There should be an inbuilt method or features designed to handle these controls providing us with a straightforward deployment process.
The overall time taken to complete it is ten minutes. Although, for multiple integrations, it might take 20-30 minutes. Also, its maintenance takes time in case of UI changes.

A few things which I like are that it helps in the integration with other platforms, allows parallel testing, and helps to create test suites and test cases on both web and desktop

Nothing much but it can't take much load as per my experience and it has various types of platforms with different access so it's hard to switch as per needs. Rest all are fine

It is helping me to create automation test cases to test our whole web platform and create some for our desktop application , and helps to provide a report with screenshots that where test cases are failed.
