Sufficient tool for REST API testing
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very intuitive and easy to pick up, with little need for assistance from the documentation until more complex testing. Test reports provided at the end of each test run are helpful and easy to access. The TestOps dashboard is a great resource for monitoring test execution.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggled with implementing the data source feature into my tests without deeply consulting the documentation. Additionally, I experienced a couple of instances where the tool crashed amidst trying to edit multiple tests quickly. These crashes caused me to lose some trust in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fortunately, due to Katalon Studio's intuitive setup, I don't need scripting knowledge or experience to create and maintain functional API tests. Additionally, having the scripting functionality available encourages me to advocate the tool with others on our team who do have that scripting knowledge and prefer to write tests that way.
Amazing concept and really helped me to learn a lot from this.
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing UI and Featurues are what makes it easy to use. I really liked the easy to implement approach. It really helped me to achieve my goals and helped me learn new things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was not much to dislike this studio. Since it fulfilled my requirements properly so I am not sure if there are any hidden bugs or issues that might occur. I am really glad with the work they did here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that we faced was to see how userflow will be like. We wanted to test user interaction and communication of the services running in the background. We created a dummy model of our business and run automations to draw some conclusions.

Best tool with awesome features
What do you like best about the product?
It is nice stable tool for automation testing mainly for UI and API that uses groovy language.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike but sometimes execution time is taking long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can organize my test cases and add to test suite run at a time which is time saving and report generation is very simple and can post to jira through x-ray plug-in.
Writing Automation Test Scripts based on Java and Selenium made easy. Satisfactory tool!
What do you like best about the product?
The software's best feature is an inbuilt recorder that records all the locators of the elements on navigating any website. While navigating through the app, the elements get higlighted for which you require the locator. There is a shortcut which can be used to save the locator. You can change the setting to let Katalon know which attribute should be used by default. It also supports manual mode, making it easier to write test scripts. The Katalon Studio also has an Object repository which makes it easier to reuse the same locators. In Katalon Studio, we can create multiple test cases and include it in a Test Suite which makes the project more structured. Another good thing is that it can be used to automate test scripts for Web and Mobile applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Katalon Studio has some great features, some of its features are not free, unlike Selenium. The locator recording feature is helpful, but it does not provide the desired XPath always. Katalon Studio only supports two languages which are Java and Groovy. Selenium supports more than these two programming languages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Katalon Studio is a tool used for writing Automation scripts. We are using it for creating test scripts and running them automatically so that we don't have to run the test cases manually. Also, compared to Selenium, it is easier to use. There are multiple free tutorials available on the web to learn Katalon Studio. The software itself provides some tutorials to help the users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The free version has sufficient features to let users write test scripts with ease. If you want those extra features to add more convenience, it should be worth the price.

KS is a straightforward tool to design and execute test scripts in multiple environments. It gives you ease when you build an automation framework from scratch by integrating all necessary test components with built-in keywords.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you need to add a lot of wait times to make your script work and execution time slower in the recent version upgrade
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Katalon studio helps me in the regression testing by automation daily task run, leading me to become more productive in our project by catching our software errors.

I highly recommend Katalon Studio; it helps you to build an automation framework without complexity and hassle.

API test automation was pretty simple and amazingly quick.

IOS automation was not straight forward. We faced issues with the versions, etc. We had to use a very specific version of Katalon and IOS to make it work.

We wanted to automate test of both API and APP interface and this software helped us to make it fast.

Powerful automation testing solution to get fulfill your requirement
What do you like best about the product?
The newest function of Katalon is to autocorrect my fail syntax that reduces my time, and releases our team productivity. Katalon is not just Katalon Studio, but it a complete automation testing toolset that is tied up together, including Katalon TestOps and Katalon Recorder. Katalon TestOps helps qa engineer to visualize their test results and test reports in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, there are some bugs and sudden crashes down on Katalon TestOps but thank the dedicated supporting team of Katalon, the problems were fixed already.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a beginner, I have been struggling with xpath syntax. I made a lot of mistakes with this and it stresses me out when just keep running the script to know if my xpath is correct or not. Katalon Studio helps me a lot with the autocorrect function, it really save my time and also the integration to Katalon TestOps - with cool reporting UI and easy to read report.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Katalon Studio is a great tool for someone who are both new to automation testing and requires a high level of technical modification. Katalon Studio is day by day upgrade their solution. You are not gonna regret it when choosing Katalon Studio as a part of your automation testing process.
It's good to use but need proper guide to use this product

The Record and play mode also the manual mode is the best

There are not many guides for help in case you get an error or issues using the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using this for web testing. It's pretty good that anybody can use even if they don't have any coding knowledge.
