Really easy and user friendly to use. Can quickly write the script for the component in minutes using both manual and script mode. Excelllent Error Log reporting through which you can isolate the issue

The screen has too many options and difficult to see it all without scrolling. Had to attach an external monitor to see the entire screen

If one does not have programming background it is difficult to create an automated script. It is really easy to script using Katalon so even though one does not have programming background it is easy to learn and implement. Self heating of objects is also very helpful

How has it helped my organization?
Some of our customers use Katalon Studio, however, our own product, Tangene, is a competitor. My research helps us understand where Katalon stands in comparison to our product.
What is most valuable?
Katalon Studio has the highest number of integrations compared to other tools at a similar price point, such as Jira, Brokerstack, and Jenkins. It also allows automation on mobile, web, desktop, and API platforms. Although its object repository feature seems underdeveloped, its execution and integration capabilities are commendable.
What needs improvement?
I would like Katalon Studio to develop manual test case generation using AI capabilities, as other tools like those using OpenAI are already doing this. Also, enhancing its test management aspects and improving support levels with translators for non-English speakers would be beneficial.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been familiar with and testing Katalon Studio for the past six months.
How are customer service and support?
Katalon's support is not very strong unless you opt for the enterprise version. Generally, companies like Katalon do not provide ample support if you are using their free or basic packages.

We have our own IP, Tangene Online. Additionally, I have worked with Selenium and Tosca, among others, in the same industry.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing of Katalon Studio is affordable, making it a sensible option for those looking for an affordable range.

I have worked on Selenium, TestTeam, and Tosca, as well as our product Tangene Online.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate Katalon Studio eight out of ten. The only improvement I want to see is the implementation of test case generation through AI.
Overall, I recommend it highly and find it easy to use with many integrations.

What is our primary use case?
We are using Katalon Studio for mobile application testing, web testing, browser testing, and API testing. We are also trying to evaluate the tool for this company with mobile applications using React.
What is most valuable?
It is good with iOS and Android. We are still trying to establish the React Native application with some features. It is not capturing some of the objects. However, it is good to record and playback in low code. That is one advantage.
What needs improvement?
It should be faster while executing, and there are some defects, like choosing the new device with the test case. Parallel execution is available, but not with the free version. The videos or training videos are not providing proper information on setup, and it should give more insights so everyone can understand.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have used Katalon Studio for about two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Probably around six. It lies somewhere where, during execution, it goes bad, restarting the application. It needs more stability when test cases are executed.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is not that great but good, rating probably around seven out of ten. They could improve scalability.
How are customer service and support?
Documentation is good. Their website information is probably around eight out of ten. However, we have not gone far enough to truly evaluate the full support.

We have used Tosca. Tosca does not have a micro frontend feature, and neither does this one.
How was the initial setup?
It was easy, but with the enterprise version, we do not have certain access, making setup a bit hectic. Overall, it is a good and easy experience.
What about the implementation team?
A small team, like six to seven people, was involved.
What was our ROI?
We are still evaluating, so I will not be able to comment on that.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing is a bit expensive for what the tool offers. The approximate cost is around $8,000.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We also evaluate API testing tools, and the free open-source alternatives are better performing, such as APM.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Katalon Studio, especially if you do not require a license. It is better than many other open-source tools. However, if you need an enterprise license, it might be expensive. Overall, I would rate it a seven or 7.5 out of ten.
