Just about everything

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use to import, curate lists, and deliver countless quality emails very easily. I have been using the product for 5 years and I have been happy about the new features they have been delivering over that time. Chat has been a lifesaver to our company for interacting with new customers and progressing them through our funnel.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I hit a paywall on the platform. I do feel like I am asked to pay extra for some advanced tools that really should come with the standard product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of the sales funnel. Easy to make emails and landing pages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your team is all in on using it.

The price is very high for me, that would be one of the weakest points

The marketing solutions and being able to have everything my company need in one place. Also the nice integration for pages, blogs, and other web components are amazing

Why WOULDN'T you choose HubSpot?

  • February 24, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot's arsenal of tools is so robust, there are endless ways to solve each business' unique challenges no matter how nuanced they may be. The full Growth Suite (or even just a combination of the Sales + Marketing hubs) is an absolute game-changer for team coordination and makes day-to-day processes so much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've yet to experience any downsides with HubSpot
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Poor data transfer between systems, poor conversion rates between stages (within the buyer's journey) and weak handoff points between teams are all common issues that can drastically limit a business' growth. HubSpot was designed and is constantly updated to combat these obstacles, and its effectiveness is apparent in how much ROI businesses generate after effective implementation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
What's there to lose? Once you try any the free hub and begin to familiarize yourself with all the platform has to offer, you'll ask yourself why you didn't start sooner

Great if you can get everyone on board

  • February 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot is great at allowing you to personalize the customer journey and organize your website/blog architecture. Updates to your website are easy and creating email nurturing journeys is a breeze once you get the hang of it. It is also easier to manage data and create campaigns based on lead/site visitor data than some other software that I've worked with before.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main problem with HubSpot, which isn't their fault, is just getting everyone on your team on the same page about how to use the tool. If we're all using it differently, then it's not as effective. Also, your team might not be able to use all of HubSpot's potential, depending on your industry. For example, within the financial services industry, we can only use certain compliance-approved software to store customer/lead data and so far HubSpot has not been approved from a compliance standpoint. Which means our landing pages and email campaigns have to be built using a separate software that integrates with the HubSpot platform. The result is a more complicated data structure that isn't as easy to segment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our latest project was to create a pillar page and reorganize our blog structure in order to optimize our website for search engines and users alike.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1) The key to a great implementation of HubSpot is finding an agency partner to work with that knows what they're doing. Find an agency partner that has worked with HubSpot for quite some time and can also design the custom website modules in a manner that is easy to update on your end. You want to make sure that you won't be reliant on the agency after your website and implementation is launched.

2) The implementation will also undoubtedly take more time and attention than you were anticipating. Make sure you have a dedicated person on your team to see this through to completion and is willing and able to devote a large chunk of their time to this implementation. Web builds and implementation of hosting platforms take up much more hours of your team's time than you would think.

3) Be flexible and open to what exactly you want in your new website. Some of the features that would be "cool" might not be possible or would require you to invest more to have them developed and built out. You have to weigh what you want vs. need -- especially if you are on a deadline, such as needing the site launched by a conference/trade show appearance or something.

Great for CRM, less so for CMS

  • February 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot's abilities as a CRM tool are second to none - easy to manage, excellent reporting tools and fantastic integration with forms and call-to-action buttons. Their email marketing platform is also excellent - really easy to use and to get analytics back afterwards. On top of that, the ability to create automated emails that get sent when someone, for example, downloads a one of our whitepapers, is a very handy addition that saves us lots of time and has resulted in some impressive open rates.

It's also very easy to add and manage additional users to our team, and sort out what permissions they have - even giving freelance developers access to certain parts of our accounts has been very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their website builder tool and CMS options are easily the worst I've ever used. Nothing seems to be logical, a lot of it is very clunky to use, and the off-the-shelf options are really uninspiring. Having previously used Squarespace, Hubspot's website builder tools feel outdated and not very user-friendly. Their blog is also frustrating to use - formatting and font size seems to change quite randomnly and, again, it is not a very good user-experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting and processing leads, tracking them through the sales funnel and seeing how hot they are. The ability to track emails - see who has opened them, what they've clicked etc - is great, as is being able to see who is browsing our website in real time. The email marketing tool is also a big help - we can create campaigns in a few clicks, make sure everything is trackable, and have complete control over when we send things.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to return and edit in draft after
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating new pages and updating an existing page, the ability to monitor traffic to the website is very useful.

The hubspot support team has been very useful forthe required guidance on how to implement a new feature or integrate a new service.

HubSpot support is fast and the possibility to contact them in different languages is very good, but sometimes you get vague answer even though you deliver all details about your question.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick page creation and traffic reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

    Computer Software

A Great Tool, But Lacks True Customizatin

  • February 22, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For a marketing tool, Hubspot is relatively user-friendly, which is a great plus.

However, I find the biggest benefit of Hubspot to be the fact that you can centralize all your sales and marketing activities on a single platform. It's incredibly convenient to be able to create lead forms, add them to a custom landing page, and tracking the contact submissions all on the same platform.

The drag-and-drop editors are very useful for creating email and webpage templates for those who don't have a ton of coding knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a distinct lack of customization options for those who really want to create unique user experiences. You're a bit too restricted to how much you customize on page templates, workflows, and emails.

For those who prefer to hard code their templates, learning Hubspot's "HubL's" can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue Hubspot solves is centralizing capabilities on one platform that would otherwise have required multiple, disjointed tools.

It also allows us to create smooth, integrated workflows that let you leverage landing pages, emails, and sales follow-ups to provide more customized customer outreach.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you opt for the paid plan, you need to ensure that you'll be using the tools enough to truly get enough value out of it. It's not the cheapest platform (the paid version, that is) so smaller companies should do their due diligence to ensure that they'll get a good ROI on their investment.
