What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Jedox for budgeting and forecasting purposes. It helps to gather wast amount of data together, construct relationships and correlate different items with each other.
So it saves lots of time to make budget, which means to collect actual data from different channels of different countries and make complicated calculations based on actuals and some assumptions for further period.

It's a new technology compared to existing tools, so movement from excels to Jedox was a bit painful, but it still results in a great upgrade.

Trying to implement Jedox in our company
What do you like best about the product?
- Cube structure
-Customer Support
-ability to copy-paste from other period

-ability to copy-paste from other period
What do you dislike about the product?
-a lot of bugs.
- not user-friendly language in RULES creator, it's better to add SQL or DAX.
-no opportunity to add more than 2 dyna range in one report - it becomes more difficult for calculation in the report.
- to move dimensions from the row to the column or vice versa is sometimes impossible - it's not moved, only via right-click.
-#VALUE in the report if Hyperlink is added into the dyna- range - we have to recalculate the sheet all the time.
- in button - Action - the range in the Set value field doesn't update the value if we make some changes in the sheet (add new columns for example).
-complicated rule editor - It is difficult to understand which rule influences your data, to see this you need to take a lot of steps.
- not user-friendly edit view report - difficult to make a simple report. It would be better if you made it like a Pivot table in Excel with simple filters.

Implementation of jedox for budgeting processes of headcount expenses for the next year
Set-up of jedox for HR Modeling
What do you like best about the product?
jedox is a platform designed based on OLAP (so called 'Cubes'), which is a common solution for such type of software. Such a common solution helps to understand the main principles of work and modelling relatively fast.
The best features I can state are the following:
0. Clear Structure - web-interface is divided into several sections, which logically distinguish from each other (Modeler, Designer, Integrator, Reports, etc.).
1. Integrator - powerful instrument to (1) set-up connections with other systems (including API) to import/export necessary information; (2) set-up automation to read/write/delete data from the Cubes/Dimensions inside jedox. Also includes a scheduler.
2. Rules - allows to design calculations of differences indices, KPIs in the way you want to see it.
3. Splashing - very useful feature, which allows to change data in the system by simply typing '+10%' and '-1000' to allowed cells. It helps to make high level changes in a seconds, build different scenarios.
4. Excel Ad-In - allows to read/create basic reports using commonly used software of every analytic - MS Excel. Easy to set-up and used, could be very helpful.
5. Marketplace - there are already designed models provided by external vendors and jedox itself, which could be added/purchased to every instance of jedox. Includes free of charge basic models, which could be useful on first steps into jedox.

What do you dislike about the product?
Common difficulties/cons you need to understand at the start of implementation:
1. Requires investing of time into trainings (for administrators, reporters) - such solutions probably could not be simply installed and used 'from the box'. It requires time to spend for trainings/certifications provided by jedox or other partners. The good thing is that jedox academy provides a lot of free of charge videos to make the very first steps into jedox and make offline trainings more effecient.
2. Some elements of interface could be more user-friendly - Rules editor is developing over time but still remains not 100% user friendly; Reports editors is really similar to Excel but functional is limited if compare 2 products.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
jedox is used for building HR budget/forecast with detailed structure by staff on the lowest level of planning.
Future plans includes usage of jedox for planning of operating expenses and building general PL and CF models to build forecast on high level.

Jedox is customizable, which makes it easier to adapt according to the reality and needs of each company.
What do you like best about the product?
Have the information updated very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some questions about premise structures, I found the order and systematics confusing with several options being in different places.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, we had our entire budget structure in Excel spreadsheets, with the risk of file loss. Jedox brought us more security in data storage and also more efficient analyses.
Excellent work tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility in building views, platform agility for the development of reports and registration screens. Cubes give the tool great possibilities for projections.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial lack of knowledge of the tool, but with a short time of use, it is already possible to achieve great developments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, there were Excel spreadsheets that were used for the company's budget, which sometimes created versioning problems and divergent information in the files. Jedox is helping to concentrate and correct this information.
