What do you like best about the product?
Interactive labs with an accompanying knowledge base to guide you through the lab. You also don't need to have your own attack machine like some other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike. A few website bugs that I'm sure will be fixed before this review is even read.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Threat hunting - Wealth of knowledge and tools to be taught.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a lot of free time before signing up! ;)

ILabs a great teching tool but not much training

What do you like best about the product?
points based leaderboard encourages a competitive element. There is a good method of finding labs that are related and the CREST awards scheme is also helpful

I have no comparison with other organisations however we do also another method of learning within the military which is via a very VERY clunky package called DLE and this simply provides you with facts then asks you to complete mini quizzes then states. "well now you have learned level 2 in networking" which is clearly not the case unless you can actually put your knowledge to test. simply remembering a few key facts or filling in a mini quiz with the most likely answer is very dull and not very engaging for the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
the answers are sometimes difficult to understand the format required making it frustrating whn the answer is staring you right in the face but might need one less / or one less ". It would be good if you were that close for a tip or hint to populate and state "ohhh your close check the syntax" or similar.

It would help our organisation if there was a better way of running a report on how long on average it was taking the inividual to complete the lab. last time I looked the report gave an output in seconds but this really isnt very user friendly. it needs to log how long a user is active as in not just starung out into space but actively attempting to complete the questions asked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am assigned objectives by my employer and I am solving them with my amazing skills of google! it has showed me the light of reddit and other support pages I did not know about before. as well as applied thinking!

The world of open source data and how to cut and paste other users solutions is also not to be jibbed at and has a place in professional workplace and skill enhancement
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say that it is a good tool that enhances the users knowledge of cyber but it struggles to teach beyond the monkey see monkey do method. it can lead a user to analytical thinking which is good and it exploits this well but there are presently too many labs to choose from without a clear pathway for certain job types. it would be good to be able to request specific modules such as Azure (wait for project team to spin up a lab), Chrome browser interface etc...

Immersive Labs takes learning to the next level

  • February 03, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I personally like the fact that Immersive Labs gamifies learning making it more enjoyable and therefore easier to retain. They also include real-life and up-to-date content making it more relatable to what's going on in current affairs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I completely understand the aspect of not providing much help on some of the labs as this will force you to figure out the answers yourself, do external research and ultimately develop your own technical skills; however, I often find myself completing "beginner" labs which provide very minimal support and can therefore be both very time consuming and confusing for someone new to that topic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having access to a platform that manages to cover a wider variety of topics while still maintaining a comprehensive level of detail is profoundly helpful for anyone in any job position. Understanding risks and responsibilities while also learning more about your job role is critical for any company, and Immersive Labs does a great job at exemplifying this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's hands down the best training platform out there. Interactive training is unparalleled and can't be competed with.

Very fun and very effective!

What do you like best about the product?
Immersive Labs' gamified way of learning new cyber skills is absolutely unmatched! The practical labs give you a hands-on experiance that you won't find anywhere else, from breaking into a system using various tools to running infamous viruses in a live environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the Windows labs can take a while to load, and some of the labs can be done in a much simpler way then suggested (the Yara labs for example). Occasionally doing certain actions can also break the labs and force you to restart them but these are very minor setbacks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because of Immersive Labs, I can now actually identify Bash output without actually looking at the command! I also have a greater insight into the actual processes of blue and red team attacks, so these help me to troubleshoot from every step and not just the end-to-end client communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your input doesn't work and you're 100% sure it is correct, paste it into an external text tool first

Top quality content displayed in an easy to learn manner

  • February 03, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The sheer volume and wide variety of content caters to all users wanting to further their current knowledge or pivot into a different topic. Additionally, the support team has been very quick to respond in my experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The labs will occasionally say they're fully set up but then will not connect to the target IP for a short while. However, this is a very minor issue and does not affect my experience using the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me learn about new threats by providing both offensive and defensive labs. This allows me to fully understand potential threats and implement detections as a blue teamer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Apply to email updates to keep up to date with the latest labs

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hands on content that is well structured with a good level of detail to provide both basic and advnaced knowledge of key security topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not alot to dislike, some labs can be frustrating which could be helped by better tasks / info but that is rare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to train our staff to be security aware, Immersive gives us a platform to skill up our workforce and trace progress with objective for a variety of roles, e.g Developers and SOC Analysts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The platform covers a great deal of content with elements of gamification to keep users engaged, definately worth using for technical roles.

A single platform that enables all of your employees with essential learnings on Cyber Security!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A great solution for all users to have access to cyber readiness and enable users to upskill as required. The fact that it's a hands-on cybersecurity training platform is a huge bonus.
The bite-size videos are very easy to consume even for users with no tech background.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool always kept improving, so I don't think there is anything I disliked as such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In one of my previous organizations, Immersive Labs helped us with complete security awareness for all employees along with relevant certifications for employees based on different departments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering Immersive Labs, you can safely go for it without any second thoughts. The bite-size videos suffice for even non-IT departments which makes it more efficient.
