The ability to identify saving opportunities and optimize spending, usually by reducing unnecessary expenses, rightsizing resources, and finally choosing more cost-effective service options.

There's a learning curve to the platform

It helps me identify wastage and inefficiency thus saving my company cloud cost

I found Finout particularly useful for its detailed insights and straightforward approach to cloud cost management. The platform's Virtual Tags and MegaBill dashboard simplified the process of tracking and allocating cloud resources, making it easier to manage our infrastructure costs effectively. What stood out to me was the anomaly detection feature, which promptly highlighted unusual spending patterns, allowing for quick intervention. Honestly, nothing. The platform really delivers on its promises.

Visibility into our cost spend, and helping us both limit spikes in spends, but also negotiate better deals that suit our usage patterns better.

While there is little to critique about Finout, if I had to pinpoint one area, it would be the user interface challenges that often come with adapting to the vast scale of enterprise environments. Nevertheless, I’ve found its interface quite navigable despite these complexities.

It offers real-time monitoring of cloud resources, allowing for immediate adjustments and optimizations to avoid overuse and unexpected costs. Easy to implement, user friendly integration and interface and used frequnetly.

Relying on an external tool for critical financial operations can introduce dependency, and any service disruptions or changes in Finout’s offerings could impact users.

Provides detailed insights into cloud spending across multiple platforms, enabling businesses to identify and eliminate unnecessary expenses, leading to significant cost savings.
Very useful tool for cost visibility
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to aggregate data from multiple sources and create a single view is extremely useful. Features like virtual tags makes it easy to group and label without needing to update the underlying data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It might be helpful to enable more visibility into the cost calculations, e.g. the attribution of Kubernetes cost to individual services.
