A former customer identity specialist who loves Descope
What do you like best about the product?
Having been a customer identity specialist for years, I knew I wanted a solution to handle the authentication for my new application. I previously worked for a leading company in the space, but I couldn't justify their price point of several dollars per user just for authentication (there are so many other costs that go into building, hosting and maintaining an application). However, I wasn't willing to compromise on quality just to save money, so I explored all of the competitors I was familiar with before selecting Descope.
Descope was easiest to use, had the features I needed and made it easy to do everything from setting up different user flows, to creating different development environments. Plus, as we scale their price point is appropriate and doesn't require ridiculous negotiations to get to a reasonable dollar amount for the authentication portion of the application .

What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to see Descope continue to expand the pre-built integrations they have, but this is something I can manage around by working with the APIs of the apps myself while Descope continues to expand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It handles all of my authentication flows including login, sign-up and user registration for protected pages that require signup prior to access.
