What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to instrument and many options to extract meaningful insights from data captured.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex UI which makes it difficult to navigate and remember.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
real time monitoring, tracing transactions end-to-end.

Best APM tool in market

What do you like best about the product?
I used many APM tools in the past but DynaTrace is the market leader. Main difference with other APM tools is DynaTrace has backtracking features which I believe no other tools provides. I can easily and quickly find any performance root cause and save precious time for debugging and analyzing time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no way we can compare results in dashboard. We run release testing and created many DynaTrace dashboards for various matrix. However, there is no way I can compare results in dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Release Testing. We identified many issues in pre-prod before it goes to production.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's efficient tool to faster your release process and improve customer confidence by quickly identifying any performance issues.

Some integrations with legacy technology proved more difficult (overall still worth it)

Improved insight related to resource issues and outages

Dynatrace has been instrumental in allowing to setup and maintain a complete monitoring solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The shear amount of capabilities, i dont have enough time to play with them all

Using Dyntratrace has filled i a lot of gaps within our monitoring solution

Real time monitoring, dashboards and user session replay.
What do you dislike about the product?
ability to export and print reports, i dont really have anything negative to say

Session replay has been the latest benefit, we use it to troubleshoot incidents as they are happening.

i really only have good things to say so far about my experience with dynatrace

What do you like best about the product?
The aspect of Dynatrace that I like the most is the monitoring abilities of the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The aspect of Dynatrace that could be most improved is implementing custom metrics. There is no way to limit the metrics instrumented. It just instruments them all. Need a way to limit this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving our RCA needs when it comes to finding out what the actual issue was of an incident. We are able to monitor and view transactions of applications as they are processed. This is extremely helpful when diagnosing issues that occur with an app. All monitoring being in one place is a realized benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My advice to others looking to implement DT would be to fully build out strings early as it will make life so much easier down the road.

Downtime to disable monitoring/alerts during maintenance windows

Any application hiccups or emergency issues - we can determine root cause that reduce RTTM by >75%
