Monday.com has been a saviour
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate with a larger team and invite clients to boards has been great. Stakeholder management is essential in our industry and we can now track a client from initial contact through to proposal stage to onboarding and full project management. Integrations with gmail also assist with automation of emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike really. The platform is continually growing and the only thing I would like to see is comments being able to be moved from items when items are moved between boards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stakeholder management is massive for us. Now we have built our automations of board creations and dashboards for clients we can manage expectations and being fully transparent to clients with their project progress.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a solution that will allow you to grow and have flexibility in your project management then monday.com is right for you
Excellent service, small room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of creating and moving tasks around within a board. Dragging is so easy. Updating by dragging media files is also great. Addition to the colours was much appreciated - always wanting more colours for things! (especially labels!)
Love the sub task addition, but we don't use it right now because tasks cannot move across boards that way (all of our tasks at some time will change boards)
Also - love the customer service from the team!
Thanks for everything!

What do you dislike about the product?
- Difficult to move tasks across boards - we frequently use 3 boards, but no matter how many times I use them, I need to scroll or search to find them and move the task to appropriate group. Need "frequently used boards" or "favourite boards" to show up first. It would also be good if you could choose to move a task to the same place the last task was moved (board & group)
Another HUGE thing with moving tasks across boards: We have our Monday.com set up so that all columns are the same so that no information is lost. This means every time I change a column (e.g. add a label in a "label column") I need to do that for ALL OF OUR BOARDS. It would be awesome if you could "apply this change to all boards". In general, there is some work to be done here - maybe there needs to be a master board that just has the framework of all other boards and you can make changes there that are applied to all? Not sure, but given the warning messages you already provide about columns missing when moving tasks, it seems you're aware of this issue.
-I also don't like how you changed "collapse all groups" to be under the "group menu". Its confusing everytime!
-Finally another great addition would be ability to duplicate a board with same integrations, teams etc.

Project and task management and time tracking
It's time to switch from spreadsheets to easy to use and powerful project planning system
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Monday.com is very easy to use and intuitive. I not needed to read any documentation or train employees to use it right away. The design is modern and colorful, looks very professional and easy to read especially compared to old gray complex spreadsheets. Monday workspaces have a ton of ready to use templates, so I don't have to spend a lot of time creating a template to track our projects like I used to do with the spreadsheets. There are tons of integrations, like for example with Zoom, which allows me to create a Zoom meeting with project assignees instantly by clicking one button which is a huge benefit during work from home time. I like that we can add our whole organization to it, but it's easy to manage our whole organization by using workspaces. Our employees don't have a cluttered app, instead, they will only see what they need to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love planning with Monday, so there is not much to complain about. However, I would like to have a dark mode and a faster app for Mac, since sometimes the macOS Monday app a bit slow, so I have to use a web version for good work performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Monday, it was really hard to track different projects using complex and not easy to read spreadsheets, that a lot of times that different spreadsheets were in different places in our cloud and you would have to search for them. Having one place for the whole organization where we can plan our upcoming projects and track task completion is really awesome. Another benefit is - huge customization of spaces and privacy settings. We easily divide different teams between different workspaces and set up the private access to the projects. With integrations like Zoom, Slack, Typeform, you can really step up your project planning and automate most of the repetitive tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to step up your project planning and task management - Monday is a choice for you. You do not need any special training, it's really intuitive, really to use and packed with features.
Great Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service -- they go above and beyond! I switched to them from Trello because I needed daily alerts for my project which had many moving parts. Their various formats did not quite work for what I needed but they worked with me through the Tech crew and customer service and really came through!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the pricing; it is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking a very complex project with lots of things that must be done. Two people on the team. Consistent alerts and moving forward on the project.
Monday.com improved my time management x 100!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have different customizable boards. I have one for each client that I work with, and while they look fairly similar, they're all a little different and customized based on the clients needs. I also love the "inbox" function. When someone tags you in a task, it shows up in your Monday.com inbox, which if often my "to-do" list for the day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Monday.com would send everything you were tagged into your Inbox. Currently, it only does it on items you're tagged in on a new thread. For example, if someone tags you in a reply to a comment, you get a "notification" but it doesn't go to your inbox. I can sometimes have 40+ notifications, so those can be very easy to miss. I wish this was more customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I now don't have to keep track of all the outstanding things we owe each client on a spreadsheet or on my to-do list. I also know where things are amongst my team, which is especially helpful when we have deliverables that may have to go through 3-4 people before going to the client. And I love that you can set internal and external deadlines, so there's never any question about clarity on when things need to be done. This has drastically transformed my team's workflow and improved our time and task management. I honestly don't know what we did before Monday.com!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend time training your team how to use Monday.com. Change management is hard, but making sure everyone is on the same page when they start learning how to use it is CRUCIAL! We had several people in our office who seemed uninterested in it, so it really halted our workflow when some people used it efficiently and some people resisted it. Also take time to make customizations in your boards and make them work best for you. There are so many automation you can set up that give you time back in your day, but it is an upfront investment of time to go through and figure out what they are and set them up.
Organized Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Monday allows you to move around tasks to help with organizing due dates and priority for the tasks. It helps keep track of the tasks that need to be completed for every account.
What do you dislike about the product?
We used to use Asana which allowed us have an account and create multiple threads instead of having one long thread for an account.
I wish Monday was able to do that. Sometimes, you can lose track of the tasks that need to get completed if there are multiple people posting for an account.
I wish Monday was able to do that. Sometimes, you can lose track of the tasks that need to get completed if there are multiple people posting for an account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Monday as an organizational application. It allows us to create tasks for our developers and keep track of these tasks by assigning the account to them and back to us when complete.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Monday is a great organizational tool to use. They have a free trial. I would suggest trying it out. It is very easy to use.
Monday.com: super visual, lots of options for integrations and automations
What do you like best about the product?
What i love about monday.com is that it's bright and colorful. it's not a boring spreadsheet or CRM... the colors and customizability lets you visually see your data.
They are continually making improvements to the platform, adding new automations and integrations. They recently added a "custom automation" which is very helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's not 100% stable. Maybe 98% stable. Sometimes automations don't fire right away, other times at all. So the 2 % or even 1% of the times it doesn't do so, it could be a problem. So I always have a 2nd layer of backup.
I also would love to see an integrated messaging component.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was looking for a visual way for my agents in my martketing agency to be able to handle prospects in our pipeline. built in options in CRMs weren't cutting it. I've used monday now for 2 years
Recommendations to others considering the product:
give it a try and reach out to their support if you need help, they are not the fastest but they are super helpful.
Great Project Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is highly customizable so it fits many industry applications, and the automations are great as well. The forms you can make from a task board is great as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about this platform. Maybe allow for even more automation selections?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com allows you to keep track of multiple projects and details in one central place.
Hire 50 people in two weeks
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com helped us track applicants, track the hiring process, and onboard over 50 employees in two weeks. We built an entirely new onboarding system with checklists to ensure that managers now and in the future hit each onboarding step. No one will miss getting an email address assigned to them, or getting their headshot and bio to HR, or getting business cards, ever again!
What do you dislike about the product?
- The templates need a lot of work. We don't use the templates; we create our own. The HR templates especially. I'd recommend working with someone in HR closely to work on these!
- Some functions I use in spreadsheets would be great here. For example, copy/pasting an entire column of a board into a google sheet or email (i.e. copy a column of email addresses).

Recommendations to others considering the product:
- Identify the features you are looking for before you begin your trial so you know what to look for and don't get overwhelmed by all of the possibilities.
- If they don't have / you can't find what you need, email support because they may have it and support is great and very responsive.
- Start with the trial period, test some things out, and then do the online Basic Training webinar.
- Google anything you can't find; their help articles are great!
- Take a look at the template boards but don't judge Monday by these boards. We didn't find them particularly useful.

Incredible customization
What do you like best about the product?
My favourite aspect of Monday is the customization. Most similar services force you to use the system the way they set it up, but with Monday I can set it up to support my process and how I work. In my experience, this level of customization typically costs thousands of dollars and thus is only available to organizations with big budgets. Monday gives the keys of the castle to small business owners at a reasonable cost. Well done.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a steeper learning curve initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. I am able to coordinate with my team, keep track of deadlines, and communicate clearly and effectively about timelines and progress to my clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Expect there to be a learning curve as you initially set up Monday. To speed things up, start with some of the pre-designed templates or find templates created by others in the Monday community, then customize to your liking.
