What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, robust, flexible, and scalable solution. Auto-discovery, Monitors on-prem and cloud resources. Hitorical graphs
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I don't have many negatives to think about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementing Centreon, our infrastructure had no centralized monitoring solution. We were relying on manual checks, reactive troubleshooting, and fragmented logs — which made identifying and resolving issues both time-consuming and inefficient.

We selected Centreon after a thorough evaluation, and it quickly proved to be the missing piece in our operations. It provided immediate visibility into the health of our on-prem infrastructure — including servers, network devices, storage systems, and critical services.

What convinced us was Centreon’s ability to deploy rapidly, integrate easily with SNMP and custom plugins, and deliver real-time, actionable dashboards. It gave our team a clear view of the entire estate, significantly reducing blind spots and alerting us to issues before they impacted users.

With no monitoring previously in place, Centreon brought structure and confidence to our IT operations. Its intuitive interface, powerful alerting system, and extensive customization options allowed us to adapt the platform to our exact needs. The team quickly adopted it and praised how easy it was to use and extend.

Today, Centreon is the foundation of our monitoring strategy, and it’s hard to imagine operating without it. We highly recommend it to any organization looking to establish a robust monitoring framework — especially if starting from scratch. It’s a true enabler for operational maturity and proactive incident response.

The best monitoring solution

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent monitoring solution, multiple connectors, and a great map. For those using the open-source version, it is also great, and if you enjoy tinkering, you will have fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation of the free version if you are not a professional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centreon allows us to have a view of all the equipment in the infrastructure. Receive alerts in case of problems and even prevent cases of failure (overload, blackout, and others).

What do you like best about the product?
Centreon has a very large catalog of ready-to-use plugins, which greatly speeds up the monitoring setup. Additionally, these plugins are open-source and can be modified as desired. Furthermore, once you understand the principle of commands/models/macros, it is quite simple to set up your own monitoring scripts to enrich or complement the existing ones. With the broker modules, it is also possible to connect Centreon to other tools in our infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The application's architecture is somewhat indigestible, especially for someone who is discovering the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For clients with the license, the BAM and MAP combo allows for the creation of high-level views that are easily understandable for non-technical positions. The autodiscovery module is quite practical, it's a pity that creating an autodiscovery module for hosts is not possible (at least not without tinkering).

What do you like best about the product?
Centreon offers us a clear and comprehensive interface for monitoring our infrastructure (servers, network equipment, photocopiers, websites, etc.). The dashboards (customizable) provide good visibility on the state of our IT system. Additionally, the large number of plugins facilitates integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting started can be a bit complex, especially for users who are not familiar with monitoring tools, but support is available in case of questions. Nevertheless, once the product is well configured, it remains stable and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centreon allows us to be very responsive to breakdowns and incidents, and to anticipate certain avoidable events (disk space, printing supplies, etc...).

Enterprise edition allow a quick deployment thanks to templates provided.
Catalog of connectors.
Dashboard module is efficient and user friendly.
Connexion with other market solutions to get or provide data is quite simple.
Support team is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting module needs to be modernize, its GUI is old fashioned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First by getting IT metrics ans status about components of our Information System and provide an efficient way of alerting or display information.
Second by aggregating data and modelize Business Activities Models.

Ease of plugin configuration and fairly quick implementation (for the central part + poller)

No native connection to AD
No vault to store passwords (they are in plain text in the scripts)
A deployment of all modules (Map, Ban, poller, central, ...) quite complicated
An unclear version upgrade procedure
A support that is not very responsive and quite weak in analysis

What do you like best about the product?
Centreon is extreamly flexible and works with everything we throw at it. Service and support is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
For now, we haven't had any issues with the product. Sometimes templates are not available but it's very rare and only for obscure products.
