Centreon
What do you like best about the product?
Centreon is best monitoring tool to monitor router and switches.We are able to remotely monitor our different city network using it.We are easily able to trace up and down devices via centreon.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times it got hanged.Then we have to restart the centreon for better performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are monitoring our network devices using centreon.

What do you like best about the product?
Centreon is the system and network monitoring software adapted to the needs of your ISD. It combines open source flexibility with the essential features of excellent supervision like monitoring your servers, active elements and applications. also centreon contains the details of devices like ip addresses and connectivity details and database related that device. it is like live network monitoring tool useful to check the live status of network devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it lack at the time when we refresh the page it is very disappointing for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
our company in internet service provider in mumbai and pune city. we have network in both cities, to monitor this network we use centreon application, it monitor our network devices like switches and routers and customer end devices. also when any switch and router goes down we are able to trace that with the help of centreon and also it shows us the UP time of devices.

i am highly recommend this software to every it person or organizations.

Centreon is one of the best monitoring application.Using it network monitoring becomes very easy.We are easily able to monitor our switches and routers and servers.We are using Centreon 2.4.1 in our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we continue using centreon that time it got hanged then we have to restart the Centreon for better performance.

Centreon is one of best real time monitoring tool.In our organization we use this tool for monitoring clients network.Centron help us to find out problems in network,it shows real up-down time of clients network as well as devices.

While refreshing it takes much more time,sometimes centreon works slow.

Centreon is very easy to use.Centreon helps us for for troubleshooting network.It provides data base which helps us to know connectivity of customers as well as data of customers.

We use Centreon to monitor a huge network it help us to manage our network flexibly. Centreon indicate the up and down time of customer its help us to find out actual problems in network.Its helps in monitoring the switches,servers, pop end, customer end and many more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Centreon is not stable at some time.Need to improve graphical user interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helps us to monitor the network links and its reduce our work and save our time.We get to know the connectivity of each customers through the database with help of centreon.Centreon also shows the ping status and indicates the packets percentage.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes easier to Check the status of the device, Which shows parameters like Uptime check out time and so many. makes easier to know the device is critical or not, it gives warning. Can also get a ping status of device in graphical from so we can analyse and update the configuration of particular devices. No need of separate window to check the parameters, everything is in single window.
What do you dislike about the product?
Status of device is not 100% correct every time, there is latency between the live and Centreon status of Network Devices.at that time need to check manually or sometime need to refresh the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Noc engineer we have to monitor our devices, need to check the availability of devices, need to submit up/down time of devices for future determination so can get MTTR of device. Either by NAS ip or device name checking specific zone connectivity. taking graphical data from ping status to analyse the device consistency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Monitoring makes easier to check the consistency of Devices from anywhere no need to check it manually. If your network is large enterprise network and devices are not easy to handle at a time go for Centreon.

centreon helps in monitoring all the networking devices in our firm.We monitor our switches,POP devices, UPLINKS and servers via centreon.We can see the downtime and uptime of the devices via this.Managing and checking customer related queries are easily accessible and solavable via centreon.
What do you dislike about the product?
The things to dislike are few about centreon namely being no alarming system to report the decive failure and stability of the software if opened on a multiple devices.The other reason sad thing is there should be automatic incidnet ticket being raised without manaul intervention.

We are using centreon to monitor our server and different networking devices which placed at different location.We can access the live status of our devices for multiple branch devices at same time.We are able to get proactive monitoring.We can trace live status of up and down time of our devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when we are continuously using centreon then it got hanged.Then we have to close the centreon tab and restart.When multiple devices goes down at same time then its difficult to find the database because it takes little bit time to reload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do proactive monitoing for the devices of our customers so that they will not face link down issue from our end.As we are internet service provider we need database to fetch issue in our end as well as customer backend,issue like error in connection of switch etc.we check whether our link is up or not by checking information provided in database.

I highly recommend this whose having multiple branches of same company,because it is very good to do work like monitoring for multiple devices placed at different location at same time ,as well as to get proactive status of devices to do troubleshooting with the help of database.it is good specially for IT & Networking infrastructure.
