    Non-Profit Organization Management

Amazing Application

  • April 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My organization has been looking for a long time to get out of using WordPress and I've looked into different options, Laravel, a full React-based static site with all the back end handled by a SaaS, but my team loved using the "simple" interface of WordPress and after I found this product and my team loved it, I know this was the keeper.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too sure if this product has been around for a while or is new, but it could use a lot more plugins that are easy to install just like WordPress and it's easy to use WYSIWYG editors, but other than that this product is pretty cool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using a Javascript-based application has just been fun, learning and using getting of a PHP based application I can already see all the speed and usage improvements

Both Client and Developer friendly

  • April 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to generate a REST API very quickly through the Admin UI. Also, the option to easily extend policies, services and middleware programmatically. Strapi hits the sweet spot in terms of catering to both the end-user and developer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like to use Typescript in backend projects. Unfortunately, there is no support for Typescript currently. Also, I cannot hide selected collections easily in the admin UI based on user role/permissions. There are workarounds to accomplish this, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building the backend to a booking system. Faster time to delivery.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read their documentation regarding backend customization to understand the full capabilities of Strapi.

Excellent product. Wroks like a charm

  • April 12, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One-click deploy to Heroku, Ease in configuration
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such. Its slightly slow to load on first time, otherwise quite good. There's very good customer support, so all problems are fixed immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've basically opened up our website for every kind of content writer. Previously all content had to go through the Webmaster, and not many have coding background. However, now all members can contribute with ease.

Searched all open source CMS Software, Strapi is the most user friendly and developer friendly

  • April 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can use it as a regular application. I can put CI/CD and deploy it on staging and production quickly, just like a typical application. Most importantly, Strapi has the slightest learning curve for us. This is important because we don't have enough capacity to train our developers. Strapi also quickly scaffolds all content models for us. This helps us to move fast without wasting time on building plugins for every minute feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's good in every way currently and suits our needs best. There are minor issues, check https://github.com/strapi/strapi/issues for more details, but the team is excellent. I am hopeful that they fix them all. One feature I think would be useful is a way to export specific content using some filters from staging to production. Because content is core of any website. On large websites we cannot test content changes that effect UI, even though there are preview options available. I also miss block editor like wordpress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are building an extensive website with multiple forms and a lot of content, and we also have various author roles with access to multiple types of content. Most importantly we have a huge books database, which we want to manage and serve using Strapi. We also want to create events, collect donations and maintain a blog using strapi. Because strapi gives us huge control, its easier for us.

Great flexible, and powerful

  • April 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility is key. Having the ability to change copy and imagery, even with a custom-designed website. We've even got plans to use this sort of flexibility to create our own internal training tool, which requires content to be created and changed once or twice a year. Strapi will allow us to grow as our organisation grows. I also like the fact that the application is self-hosted. It means we can control our costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a little difficult to get your head around at first, especially if you're coming from a traditional CMS. We're fortunate in that there are a few people who have used Strapi, but, for new people, it would be best to watch the training videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're giving our content team the ability to define the content across our site. We're also going to consider launching a blog, to have regular content output.
Depending on how we grow as an organisation, we may even use Strapi to host and display our internal training content.

Great NodeJs CMS

  • April 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Support GraphQL.
- Highly customizable.
- Good documentation.
- Update frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The free plan supports only three roles.
- The interface is ok but not as friendly as other CMS I have used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have searched for a CMS support GraphQL to connect to my frontend application. I found Strapi to support GraphQL with ease. Besides, the loading speed is fast.

Impressed with initial set-up and usability

  • April 01, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple interface, customizable power, solid APIs, open-source
What do you dislike about the product?
Tools for keeping data in sync between different environments are currently lacking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Strapi on a new project, so we don't have a ton of experience, but initial implementation has been straightforward, and documentation has been good.

Enjoying Strapi!

  • March 31, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to adopt, wonderful client service and good pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the easiest to customize, according to our dev team, but gave us a lot of the major stuff we needed out of the box
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick time to production. It would've taken us much longer without it

    E-Learning

Simple, Efficient, and Awesome

  • March 31, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As we plan to transition to the Jamstack, we were directed to use a headless CMS. Strapi looked like a good option, so we looked into getting it all set up. Within minutes, we had something better than we previously had. Our developers were amazed with how quickly we were able to plug our data, and how we could have non-technical employees use it as well for data-entry and manipulation.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, not many dislikes. My main dislike is not being able to manipulate the "id" field. I'd like to use a slug for it rather than a incremental number, but in the documentation, it says it is being worked on for Strapi V4.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Besides the "id" problem, not much else. One of the major benefits is definitely allowing non-technical employees to be able to manipulate data and add information without the need of having a developer or engineer doing it for them. It definitely can speed up many bottlenecks in our workflow.

Detaching the head of our CMS.

  • March 30, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface for Strapi is incredibly modern and intuitive. As a beginner developer, it has made things a lot easier to grasp as I work my way through tutorials, the Strapi Academy and the documentation.

Additionally, the support and help I received from Strapi before even getting started was outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I expected with moving from WordPress to Strapi, there are some features that are easily available in WP that aren't in Strapi. The community is active though and so usually there are plugins to help with most general cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a CMS that is detached from any specific frontend makes updating repeating content very easy.
