Great tool for infra monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
Detailed report on infrastructure. So many cool features you can configure like synthetic monitoring, monitoring kubernetes workloads and many more

Nothing , all good. Great tool for infra monitoring

Proactive alerts mechanism, monitoring kubernetes workloads etc

Instana observability solution : Smart agent and powerful cloud APM solution
What do you like best about the product?
APM part is providing great value
Deep process / application analysing (specialy Java process)
Agent is easy to deploy and auto discover pretty much a lot of middlewares (HAproxy, tomcat, MySQL ...)
Power Cloud portal for search, alerting with various possibility (webhook,email etc) and custom event building to go even further with the tool

What do you dislike about the product?
Not so developped logs capabilities
I'm not sure to have found what i was looking for on the tracing side
Could be better for Database Performance Monitoring (MySQL/MariaDB, PGSQL, Cassandra...) support is less than competors : Dynatrace, Datadog ...
The price !!! this can be an issue with the recent increase

Great Application Performance Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
IBM instana is great product which provides very efficient cloud environemnt monitoring as well as telemetry data associated with it. It aslo provides migration facilities so one can freely move to different cloud providers.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike, it has very user friendly interface and one can learn and manage it very less time with its great documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us in monitoring the IT incidents and service requests very effectienly and also helps us in alerting customers in the scenarios of downtime or utilizations etc. It also gives insights of customer's cloud infrastructure.
near real-time application logging & monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
it integrates with my php application using its library and as promised, it does give an alert within 3 second of incident occurence. works really great when there is need to integrate the system with other tools like prometheus.
What do you dislike about the product?
setup could have been a bit more easier compare to other software / alternatives. this may provide it more close to core access and thus more capability but avid programmer would generally aware this much installation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it provides the best in class incident reporting latency, in an instant one can capture the source of failure. this may be not general need but for someone who has few projects that deals with realtime micro transaction processing, then even 1 second can be proven ballistic if not handled in mean time.

IBM Instana is the best tool for app Monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
This tool has good UI for integarting your systems and receive alerts in faster space or almost real time. it also help to analyse API calls and based on data or reports you can improve API performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has integration issues where we face delay while integrating few aws services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helped us to observe application performs and few other cloud service components based on diffrent parameters. That helped us to improve SLA for our services
Great Observalibity tool
What do you like best about the product?
AI centric Observalibility at its best which predicts lot of real time issues upfront and gives a great heads up in fixing the problems that occurs in typical production environment with lots of challenges
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing much that i see as dislikes, their AI centric approach makes the product excellent
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Log analysis & Potential Problems in infra & deployments & profiling features in API calls, & great remeidation automation which can be injected to reduce common problems with systems.

Documentation is something where IBM to work more. easy iniital stage tutorial will be very helpful for easy understanding.

It support only On-Premises deployment.and little bit expesive.
