Complete Visibility and Fast Real-Time Insights with Sumo Logic
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Sumo Logic is the complete visibility it provides, along with how quickly it displays real-time data. For me, it works very well with microservices and integrates almost natively with AWS and Google Cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the downside, I’d say the alerts take a little while to appear. So far, the notification speed isn’t as instantaneous as I expected for a tool of this caliber.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part is that it’s helped me resolve issues more quickly. I have complete visibility, and all the telemetry is centralized in one place, which makes it much easier to stay on top of everything.
Fast, Seamless Security Alerts Across Cloud Services
What do you like best about the product?
I find the alerts fascinating because they’re fundamental to our security. Their speed in detecting incidents is remarkable, and they connect seamlessly with any cloud service.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to be careful with the search filters. If you’re not precise with your queries, your bill might include some unpleasant surprises at the end of the month. That’s the downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We consolidated our entire workflow onto a single platform. Thanks to its ability to detect incidents early, we’ve been able to optimize our time and avoid unnecessary manual tasks.
Real-Time Search and Smart Alerts That Save Hours
What do you like best about the product?
What I value most is the real-time search capability. On top of that, the smart alerts have been a huge advantage. I save hours of browsing thanks to its Logreduce feature, which is a massive benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is quite steep, and it requires time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to waste too much time, but this tool centralized everything and helped detect a bottleneck in our API that was causing outages. It’s been a lifesaver, and now I can finally relax.
Cuts Alert Fatigue with Clear Summaries, but Data Source Onboarding Feels Clunky
What do you like best about the product?
As a software engineer, what I like best is that Dojo AI actually reduces alert fatigue in a meaningful way. The Summary Agent gives my team a clean, readable explanation of what triggered each Insight, instead of everyone digging through 40 lines of raw log data, they get a clear summary of the key signals, scope, and context.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onboarding new data sources can still feel clunkier than it should be. We added a new SaaS tool to our stack last quarter and getting the logs flowing correctly into Sumo Logic took almost a full week of back-and-forth with documentation and support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a serious siloing problem. Our security team, DevOps team, and infrastructure team were all working off different tools with different data views, and whenever an incident happened, the first 30 minutes were always wasted just getting everyone on the same page. Sumo Logic solved that by becoming our single source of truth for all telemetry
Effortless Monitoring with Some Interface Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to use Sumo Logic. This ease of use makes it possible for us to teach the tool to new users quickly. The initial setup was also easy, which is a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could be improved to make it easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sumo Logic for monitoring internal systems. It solves gathering information and lets us get the inside scoop on things as they happen.
Fast, Fluid UI with Quick Queries and Easy Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
The UI feels faster and more fluid. Queries run quickly, and dashboards are straightforward to create.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s expensive compared to other options, and the integration capabilities feel limited. Overall, it seems too broad for what I need, and large queries don’t run reliably.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralised monitoring and logging that helps with RCA analysis, as well as dashboarding and reporting for WAF and API discovery.
MoBot’s AI-Guided Assistance Makes Observability and Security Workflows a Breeze
What do you like best about the product?
As a solution architect, what impressed me most was MoBot. Having an AI-guided assistant that helps you navigate observability and security workflows, write queries, and even refine them with suggestions and nice UI experience, That's a game changer, especially for someone who's still getting comfortable with complex log queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sumo Logic is incredibly powerful, it can feel overwhelming when you first get started. There's just so much to take in metrics, logs, Cloud SIEM, automation, MoBot, and without proper training, it's easy to feel lost navigating the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We struggled with sharing visibility across teams, integration with external tools like Auth0, but the ability to build, export, and import dashboards means stakeholders across security and operations are now working from the same data, resulting in better collaboration and faster decision-making.
Live Tail and LogReduce Make Real-Time Troubleshooting Fast
What do you like best about the product?
Sumo Logic's Live Tail feature is something I use almost daily, being able to stream real-time logs during a deployment means I catch anomalies within seconds instead of waiting for an alert to fire. The LogReduce clustering has genuinely cut my incident investigation time in half by automatically grouping similar error patterns
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard building experience is where I feel the most friction, there's no drag-and-drop panel resizing, so arranging widgets into a clean layout takes far longer than it should and becomes a real time sink when you're iterating quickly during an incident review
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Sumo Logic, we struggled with fragmented observability, logs lived in CloudWatch, metrics in a separate tool, and correlating them during an incident meant switching contexts constantly, which easily added 20-30 minutes to every triage cycle.
Now we can investigate the full stack in a single unified interface, which has cut our mean time to resolution by roughly 40% and made on-call rotations significantly less stressful

Powerful Data Ingestion and Queries, but a Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
One of Sumo’s strongest suits is its ability to ingest and normalize data from almost any source—AWS, Azure, GCP, or on-prem—into a single “pane of glass.” The query language is incredibly robust, and I use it every day for debugging.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you aren’t familiar with their specific syntax, it can take some time to become proficient. I’d suggest improving the “out-of-the-box” query builders to make it easier to get started. Also, when running complex queries over large time ranges (for example, 7+ days), the UI can sometimes feel sluggish or even time out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sumo Logic acts as a Single Source of Truth. It unifies logs, metrics, and traces into one platform.
Real-Time Log Aggregation with a Powerful Query Language
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is its ability to aggregate logs in real time, along with how powerful its query language is. It saves me a lot of preprocessing time and makes it easier to get to the insights I need without extra setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest problem is that you’re constantly worried about what you consume. It’s a constant source of stress having to monitor your data traffic so you don’t lose control of your budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sumo Logic performs wonderfully. It’s a super agile tool that lets me draw conclusions quickly, without the platform slowing down when I need it most.
