Best Force.com Native Salesforce Release managment tool

  • April 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flosum has enabled Continuous Integration and release management for our Salesforce org. It provides the ability to quickly and easily compare , Deploy and Rollback changes between Org.

It also support Impact analysis. You can see the difference in source and target org data in one screen and a you can do the changes if needed.

Bonus part of this tool is static code analysis. it's similar to Apex PMD.

All these functionality takes place on the force.com platform native (100% secure) and Available directly within the Salesforce UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don't have much to say in regards to things I dislike. Everything looks good to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is one of the greatest efficiencies in my daily routine release management. Instead of manually using change sets in Salesforce and having to select each item through an overly complicated user experience, flosum makes it simple to perform metadata comparisons, validation, deployments and rollbacks. Flosum has allowed my team to develop robust devops process and a more successful and stress less Salesforce Release management cycle.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a Salesforce consultant with a team of developers I would suggest to use Flosum. We've seen plenty of demos from other products, Flosum is hands down the best one we've ever seen.

Flosum, that makes Release Management Easier for our company

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We re a company that is working on Salesforce Development, 12 Developers/Admins , 2 QA, and e few Business analysts in different locations of the world. At the first stage, we were using another Release management tool, but to be honest it is not working as we need. The release management solution is the Version Control System, which works to maintain a central source of truth for all code versions. It is very critical such as us separated in different counties and timezones.

Unlike Git-based version control systems, which make keeping these environments in sync very complicated, Flosum makes the
process extremely simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems nothing. To be honest, we are using Flosum for a long time, but there is nothing to declare as dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merging changes can become extremely time-consuming with Git-based version control systems because they weren’t
intended to handle certain Salesforce specific components.

A Time Reducer Application for Deployment with 0 limitations on Change sets

  • March 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Well, I don't know how to explain the amount of time I’ve saved with this application tool. but seriously it's like a Nitro Booster to my car in the race of my Deployment. In Salesforce we basically have to deploy all the dependent components to the next firm and delivery chain of the next application but Flosum has a different story, coz in Flosum, the developers are able to apply the less amount of changes. Well, this Time Booster application doesn't let you waste your valuable time and makes it sure that the least amount of code is deployed. It automatically edits everything for you, whether its Profiles, Permission Sets or various settings. Basically, whatever time is costed during the Deployment Process, Flosum just helps to reduce it to the optimum.

See we all know that If we the process is failed of the deployment process we all have to start it from the scratch, and the amount of time it takes to do the whole deployment is just crazy, but with Flosum the whole cycle can be integrated and we can prevent all this time and effort from getting wasted with the exceptional quality of code. With the help of Flosum now, we can move the entire data, whereas earlier we were only able to move one object at a time. couldn't even migrate the relational data. Now Flosum also allows selecting fields, records and objects which needs to be migrated. which means developed can subset the data easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Couldn't find anything so far, but yes Pricing can be an issue for freelancers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well there number of things in which Flosum is helping me out, but the main crux is Reducing the amount of time in Deployment Process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A must try Application for Deployment / Integrations. If Don't trust the reviews then start the trial and check it by yourself.

Release Management tool we have been waiting for!!

  • March 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The BEST thing about Flosum is that it is native on force.com. This means that the UI is already intuitive for users, admins and developers regardless of experience using a release mgmt tool. Like any product there is a learning curve, but with Flosum the experience is already familiar because it just works in Salesforce.

Outside of this, the code comparison feature is a time saver unlike others we've used. The functionality of scrolling automatically to compare lines and highlighting differences or conflicts is just remarkable.

Additionally, the features, options and values that are able to be captured is very thorough and it very much is the case that Flosum has done this before and thought of everything. When you use a tool that is as well thought out as Flosum, you gain trust in the tool and company behind because you know that have done the work to make your job easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some others also mentioned that the screenshot tool is a bit laggy, but nothing that is worth reducing the overall grade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that is solved with Flosum is change set management and deployment of code. In one place, we are able to add, clean, check, merge, validate and deploy changes and code. This is a huge win for developers, but in a new DX world Admins will also find Flosum easy to use and will increase overall implementation team efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When looking at Release Management tools, consider the time saved for your users of Flosum by evaluating the increase in efficiency for: native salesforce UI, code management and deployments. These are the main three areas I have seen the most ROI for time.

Additionally, please consider the value of all of the data you will be able to capture during your implementation process. Especially, if you are a company that is constantly developing your org and/or going through a large dev cycle, you will be able to find any breakdown points in your deployment stream.
