Accelerate the employee experience with Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Administrators can optimize the management of Apple products without wasting time and effort of their employees by using configuration profiles and policies.
In particular, even novice device managers will find it intuitive and stress-free to create and apply policies.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some applications are complex to configure (e.g., security software). They require multiple documentation references for proper design.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first is to improve the level of security in the organization by ensuring that the correct inventory of devices is known and that they can be operated correctly and remotely.

Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf pro helps manage automation in our apple device fleet. Jamf Pro also helps mitigate security risks on our devices by securing them using configuration profiles etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is no remote support control tool as yet, however I believe they are planning to release one very soon which will complete the product for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security, fleet management, automation, product life cycle, patching and reporting. Going from being an unmanaged estate to Jamf Pro has been a revelation for us.
Constant End User Issues
What do you like best about the product?
This software has caused me nothing but hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software will constantly lock end users out of their Mac devices. Generates unnecessary IT tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables large scale iOS device management at the cost of user experience. End users complain of constant lockouts and password sync issues.
Getting things done with Jamf!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is the gold standard for Apple device management. It's easier to use than many others, the community is awesome and it just works. Did an extensive comparison between Jamf Pro and a few others, and Jamf Pro definitely earned the top spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, nothing really. No bad experiences yet. Setting it up and managing it can get complex if you're not used to Apple products, but that is just the nature of device management in general.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage a large amount of Apple devices, mostly remotely. Our users expect a modern, user friendly and secure workplace, Jamf Pro helps us achieve this with Apple devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy tool which is designed to IT to get integrations in way simpler formats. Does got super good community who can help in all ways they can.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really didn't notice any of the features that others dont have. However, I do see one where Jamf didn't have an option to stop enrolling non supported macOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We almost achieved zero-touch deployments which is very beneficial for the end users.

Self Service and Patch Management are the features we use and like the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
Test buttons are missing for some critical configurations such as SCEP. It would be helpful to be able to generate dummy certificates before deploying configurations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro has solved our complete Mac management problem. We use Jamf Pro so that our Mac users, who started working remotely during the pandemic period, can progress with an unified structure, easily make VPN and access internal resources etc.
Fairly New, Yet Completely Immersed.
What do you like best about the product?
The classes I've taken over JAMF to help run the environment were beneficial. My class was particularly interested in attributes. This made learning reporting from the console an excellent experience. Still, a lot to learn; however, I can see I'm only getting to the first peak of this mountain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not found anything yet, we were given this environment by someone else, so it was already (somewhat) built out. Documenting this with the help of peers makes it easy to realize just what it takes to run an application like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our organization, we have to have an MDM agent, a security stack, and a modernized way of reporting PHI, PII, and HIPAA compliance back to our senior leadership. JAMF makes this possible.
System management made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Our IT dept does not struggle to assist end users any longer. We can remotely reset computer log-ins and troubleshoot issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting our team familiar with the setup was a bit of a struggle. After several training sessions, we were confident that we could go live. Finding specific tools wasn't as easy as we would have liked, although the tools were there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Response times have been cut in half since we can now do the necessary tasks remotely. Making the need for onsite IT 24/7 a thing of the past.
