Long time Jamf Pro user
What do you like best about the product?
The community surrounding Jmaf Pro with a vast pool of knowledge both for Jamf and Apple Management to tap into
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more templates for fast changes and better Patch Management (coming soon)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes us manage thousands of macOS and iOS devices easily
Jamf Pro is the go to for Apple MDM
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro allows us to easily and securely manage our apple devices in our organization. We are able to integrate with ABM and centrally manage all of our devices (ipads, macs, etc.) It's very customizable and is feature rich.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Pro can be intimidating when you first start using it. It has many features, and so the learning curve is steep, but the good thing is, Jamf support is always there to assist you with any issues that you may have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping us solve mobile device management and security initiatives. We are able to monitor our devices and make sure they are patched with the latest security updates.
Very happy with Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Apple device management in an education environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
No big downsides I can think of. Maybe bridging that gap between apple security and work/school device owned environments. For example, app usage reports would be great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick, at a glance dashboard. App deployments are a breeze. Device enrollments with preset configurations.
Jamf! A great tool and easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Jamf pro is the activation unlock key. It has been so helpful in many situations. Our users work on job sites all over the country, and sometimes when someone logs into the iCloud account and their iPad gets reset, it is so easy to give that key to the manager so they can unlock the iPad.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about Jamf Pro, is the back button. I don't like how when I click on a device, the information gets pulled up, you hit the back button and you have to scroll all the way back to where you were.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping us solve the management portion of our iPads. It's so nice to be able to communicate with our end users through the iPad if needed, as well as manage all of our apps.
Jamf Pro in EDU
What do you like best about the product?
Using Jamf to configure devices, both macOS and iOS, is easy. I also appreciate the ability to deploy software in many different ways, whether via script, pkg, or the App Installers feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that the Patch Management feature as well as using the MDM Commands to push OS updates and patches was more reliable. Another helpful item would be easier Secure Token granting/removal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance with university security policies, 3rd party software patching via script, and Self Service items for my users all make my life easier.
Making Apple Products Easy to Manage
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to push new installers and configuration profiles quickly to specific (dynamic) groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the Jamf Apps in the catalog could be added to the self-service portal so they could be optional instead of mandatory.
I would like to see all apps have the option of being in the portal.
I would like to see all apps have the option of being in the portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing apple products in an effective way. Microsoft is great for managing windows, but apple is just that little bit different and that is where jamf Excels.
Jamf Pro Review
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is a comprehensive tool set that allows for enterprise Apple device management. It scales extremely well, and gives IT admins extremely powerful tools for device management. It also allows for many operations to be streamlined, and allows for overall Apple device management to be very effecient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generally, Jamf Pro works very well. However, if issues arise, sometimes getting prompt and helpful assistance from the support team is challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is constantly introducing new features. They always have zero day support for new macOS and iOS versions, which allow you to manage new features. They are also building upon automatic application deployment.
Jamf and Q-SI

Simplicity and it is easy to manage from an admin standpoint
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't monitor windows PC like intune does
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
managing all our ios and macos devies. It helps us keep inline with company goals and nist compliance
best tool I've ever worked with. Jamf rocks!
What do you like best about the product?
We can finally take care of Apple devices professionally. The community is amazing and I've learned a lot in the last 12 months.
What do you dislike about the product?
The translations from English into German don't always work out. This was particularly noticeable with the jamf 100 course. And expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finally we can automate and have reduced our manual intervention.
Easily the best Apple MDM on the market
What do you like best about the product?
How everything is manageable from the UI - the product is very flexible with scripts and extension attributes but I'm confident that most competent IT technicians can manage their estates from the UI alone. The training options available are also fantastic for organizations that require a more bespoke approach to MDM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The self-service branding options are poor. I'm surprised that Jamf hasn't spent more time leveraging this as it's the main focal point for users. No matter how you brand the product, the end results are always poor because of the layout options provided by Jamf.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zero-touch deployments for new devices. Mitigated workflows for repurposed devices. Jamf protect for security. CIS Benchmarking and remediation. Management of buildings and departments.
