Not great with Excel or external programs like Certify, Sisense.
What do you like best about the product?
The income statements and Balance Sheets are great. At my old company, we didn't have Intacct and we would have a more timely process to update the financials and send them out. Intacct helps with that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't work as well with outside programs. I can't add as much to the transaction details as we would like. We would like Intacct to do more with outside programs like Sisense and Certify. It can be restrictive at times. It takes a bit of time to get familiar with the reporting and dashboarding capabilities but overall its not the worst. . Some reports are great but some of them aren't as friendly. There are so many dimensions that exist in this software that you cannot run a report on. Intacct is also not the best with managing cash flow so we use excel still for that. The GL pulls you can't dig into live. I would also like a feature to be added to show simplified income statements and balance sheets so that we don't have to put it into excel to calculate. The bill register and grant sections of Intacct aren't up to par. There also seems to be a fair amount of glitches and errors. I also can't seem to save my GL pulls so that next time I can pull them faster without reentering all the report details and requirements. I also don't like how it logs you out often and freezes from time to time and makes you start over with reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to generate income statements and balance sheet reports not in excel.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to color coordinate my companies since we are a multiple entity company. This platform is very user-friendly for numerous entity companies. I enjoy how easy it is to post various journal entries for each company.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have not run into any major issues while using Intacct in our company.

We used to work with Great Plains, and Intacct is much more user-friendly.

Specific workflows require extra clicks, which doesn't make sense.

The accounting process is efficient, and it's easy to track data using custom reports.
Great software but still has some small issues
What do you like best about the product?
I like the custom reports. We've been able to use that to make some critical reports that have allowed us to focus our time elsewhere.

What do you dislike about the product?
When using the PO piece, I do not like the rounding issues. I have had to go back into a report and try to find the discrepancy because Sage rounded on an invoice causing a change in sometimes $0.10 or more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are very new to sage, and the simplicity of this software has been incredible. Reports that would take us 30-45 minutes to piece together we have been able to write a custom report in Sage, therefor saving a lot of time. It has been a great addition.
Intacct is a user friendly system
What do you like best about the product?
In our organization, the most significant benefit we have had is the ability to customize purchasing workflows to fit our needs for approvals and general ledger posting. We have also had custom applications built to support business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing invoices through Order Entry and Accounts Receivable can have its pitfalls. For example, it can be onerous to determine where credit adjustments are applied without searching for individual transactions. The addition of enhanced reporting or creating a custom report for these items would help address some issues with these systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary issue we were solving was the purchase order workflow. Before using Intacct, we did all purchasing workflows on paper. This was tedious, slow, and resulted in inaccurate information. Because of the utilization of Intacct, our workflows went from taking up to a week to now taking a few hours to go through various approval workflows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The use of dimensions in Intacct is instrumental and pivotal to any organization that wants to benefit from Intacct. This is the key to reports, data collection, and workflow creation. Intacct will enhance purchasing workflows and the provide tools to customize reports to build on the information collected in these workflows.
Outstanding and user friendly ERP
What do you like best about the product?
Sync option for integrating other Softwares and many upload templates is saving a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
While sending emails from Intacct, if we update any email id after creating the invoice, it won't capture automatically. We need to change the email id manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can create customized reports which can be needed by third-party agencies..such as banks, stock exchanges ect.,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SAGE Intacct is excellent and user-friendly software. In this software, we can create customized reports according to our requirement and here scope for time-saving due to uploading of invoice and GJ templates.
I was advised to go with this software due to its cost efficiency and more reliability than other ERP vendors.

Easy to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can see all my companies in the "top level" it is also super helpful that I can color code them as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I would say I dislike; I am in HR, not Accounting, and it is straightforward to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is helping to bridge HR/payroll with the accounting team in one platform.

Light wait, browser based application. Flexible configuration.

The interface is not as intuitive as it could be.

It enforced uniform processes across multiple organizations.
Simple timecard system *if* you know the codes
What do you like best about the product?
It is very straightforward and easy to use and does not appear to have capacity issues at the end of the day on Fridays. this has been a real problem for me in the past with other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't enter in the correct project code, the error returned is that the time submitted is outside the date range, not that the code used is not authorized for the user. I solved this for me finally by just trying one of the other codes and it worked.

I persoanlly am only a user/customer of the timecard piece of the system. the benefit realized is that when I know what codes to use for my project, it is consistently very fast and easy to use to submit my hours.
Sage Intacct is a great accounting solution
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to maneuver in and across modules. AR and AP modules are extremely user-friendly!
What do you dislike about the product?
Global consolidation has been difficult to implement. Initial setup was difficult, too, and sometimes modules don't work the way we were told they would, which is frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementation of global consolidation has been very challenging. We also received inconsistent guidance in the setup process while we running parallel systems--this caused many reversals and much confusion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand that implementation definitely takes time, and the process isn't exactly seamless. But the day-to-day workings are pretty smooth, for the most part!
