Constant Process Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Reporting is very versatile once you understand how to construct reports. Many of the modules interconnect and allow for you to capture and understand financials and KPIs across multiple entities, locations and departments. There is also an ability to load large quantities of data rather than manually input through the user interface which helps a lot with efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some processes that have to be run manually (i.e. generating contract invoices, recognizing contract revenue) vs. being put on a schedule.
Similarly, this somewhat pertains to reporting. If you want to schedule a certain report to go out to all department heads with spend for their department, for example, you have to replicate the report for each department head rather than using some internal logic to send to all.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are constantly taking the next step to increase accuracy and efficiency by running processes through Intacct, replacing manual data entry and one off email workflows into defined processes that allow the company to grow without increasing headcount on the finance and accounting teams.
Recently, we implemented the advanced CRM integration between Salesforce and Intacct, coupled with the contracts module. While this project was very challenging, it forced us to look deeper into our data structure and sales process which has laid out a clear path forward.

What do you like best about the product?
PROS
- Overall the Sage Intacct Timesheets does the job where I can easily fill out timesheets and submit them.
- The timesheet start date will reset to the start of the week if I enter it incorrectly √
- In the list of all the timesheets, I can quickly see which of the timesheets are approved/in-draft/

What do you dislike about the product?

- I have to click 3-4 times till I get to the page where I can fill out my timesheet. Why can't my first page be about the timesheets I am supposed to fillout.
- The place where I see the timesheets does not show the summary of the DATEs and TOTAL hours worked. I have to manually click to check which timesheet is which
- Timesheet page page cannot be bookmarked. I cannot save reference to a particular timesheet since those links are not bookmark-able
- It does not tell me who is approving my timesheet, the status summary and timestamps are missing.

Why we chose Sage Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I enjoy best about Sage Intacct is the small GL because of the Dimensions. The Dimensions are game changing for organizing your business and reporting and being able to track revenue and costs.
Another aspect is the reporting, I have used a lot of various accounting software in the past and have always found the reporting sections to be lacking and Sage Intacct has the best one I have seen so far out of the box.
Finally, Sage is continuously improving and updating their product to add new features and/or improve existing ones. They seem to listen to what their customers want.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest gripe I have currently is the lack of foreign currency support for credit cards. We actually have to not use the credit card function in Intacct and treat them as bank accounts so that our USD credit cards work properly. This also means we can't have our credit card transactions come into Sage automatically during the month either. I am hoping this is something that is added in future updates.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for new accounting product, I would definitely give Sage a solid look.
Coming over from MAS 500, this is a game changer with the new functions the Sage has available.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Dashboard Menu Reports and Entity's available to me.
The Reconciliations are quicker too in finding matching items quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Department names are not available in the Bills By Department Tab. I also would like to be able to view all reconciliations for all accounts versus just individual accounts within an entity. The ACH feature only works with a bank account, but we have 100 accounts as a Trustee and I would of loved to use the ACH service for each differ bank account, but each account has its own ein #. - The ACH within the system doesn't create the bank account # in the nacha file.

Sage is great where it works, but it is difficult to understand the underlying workings w/o guidance
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of flow from contract to invoicing - it is particularly easy most of the time to sync salesforce opportunities into Sage. Once those are synced, the contracts that are created in Salesforce automatically sync and reflect the contract in Salesforce, which allows us to easily link the data and make sure it is correct in both platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The difficulty in changing contracts and previously posted transactions that need to be changed because of customer needs and contract amendments. When a transaction has already been completed in the past, the difficulty of changing the attributes of it become nearly impossible. I understand the need for compliance, but it is much too difficult to tag on notes or additional line changes to contracts or invoices if a change has happened with the customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us have a centralized place to know when to bill our customers and know what they are being billed for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have used Sage Intacct before and know how it all works underneath, it will probably be an amazing and perfect software for you to use. For beginners and people that are just coming on however, there is a big learning curve and you need to know exactly where to go to get things done. Customer support is pretty bad in the sense of urgency, with the community resources not giving succinct answers for what you need to get done immediately. If time is not of the essence, your problems will get solved eventually though.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly and simple the application is to use. I am able to easily pull reports that I need based off of my client's revenues. I absolutely loved the ease with pulling vendor report/info for 1099 season. I was able to get all the information that I needed already included in an excel document for ease. I like that they can also print checks for you instead of hand writing them. This is a major help for one of my clients that has 20 stores, and has over 200 invoices a week that I have to send payments out for. I also love that our firm can have dozens of clients within this one application. We are trying to get all of our clients set up in Intacct away from Quickbooks and RTI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can't just delete a recorded transfer of funds. It is basically a draft amount, so it isn't a payment directly out of Intacct. I have to go through the trouble of reversing it and checking the original posting and the reversal off in the register. Sometime I also have issue with balancing my registers. The website seems to glitch somehow, and it saying that I am out of balance by an amount that I have already checked off for, so I have to uncheck everything for the month, restart my reconciliation for the month, and then I can get the register to balance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me easily research invoices and vendor info.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I definitely recommond Sage Intacct to people that have heavy finance information. I don't think that this would be a good fit for a small business, but if you have a lot of information that you need to manage, this company is good for that. They organize everything very neatly and have made it very user friendly.
Intact is very resourceful when reviewing and auditing financials.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to duplicate past entries and also relatively easy to research historical information. I also really enjoy the reporting and the cleanliness of the modules and how the flow of the menu is, while customizable, the out-of-the-box setup is quite easy and straightforward for anyone with experience with a previous accounting system to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I can think of that I dislike, I think that this system properly integrates the proper controls to consider generally accepted accounting principles, while also allowing for mistakes and ways to undo entries instead of other systems which are usually less forgivable. One thing I do wish would improve, is as a Client Accounting Service Accountant, I'd like to be able to flip between clients a lot easier, which currently isn't quite easy to do - being able to open multiple different clients (in separate windows) without having it overwrite your current window would be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Going back to my previous answer, there's a lot of functionality with Sage Intacct, as opposed to a system like Sage 100. I think some problems are moreso having to do with the original set up of a client, which is usually set in stone, like accrual to cash conversion or vice versa, which is less forgivable and more difficult to do in any system I'd presume. The benefits to this system versus something like Sage 100 is that there are so many more ways to go back and undo things or delete items without having it show up on the books, unless it's necessary.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Historical research of audit trail, or a history of actions taken by a specific user on a given day. Makes it easier to trace erroneous steps for clients whose controls haven't been modified and for a new user to Sage.

Joy McVicker, our account executive, is professional, knowledgeable, and 100% focused on find a solution to our challenging budget planning needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The native budgeting and planning module was not complex enough to meet our needs, but they tapped into a 3rd party application (PROPHIX), a dynamic customer performance management system, that is able to achieve the level of detail we need for project planning. The two systems work seamlessly together, delivering Sage Intacct's best-in-class accounting and finance capabilities with PROPHIX's highly rated CPM program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacement for our antiquated accounting system and project costing sheets. We have advanced from a largely manual system to a powerful accounting/project budgeting system. We finally joined the 21st Century!
