The best reconciliation features!
What do you like best about the product?
Out of all the accounting software I've tried, I enjoy the way Sage allows users to reconcile bank and credit card transactions. It makes a very tedious process much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of having to run reports to see transactions related to vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm doing bank and credit card reconciliations over multiple years and I've found that process to be much easier than other accounting software. When a mistake is made with a journal entry, I find that it's very easy to pull up the register and correct the entry.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way you can manage all the intercompany journal entries or bills with only one entry and all the entities are in balance.
After doing your first bank reconcilation you can connect the bank to a cloud base and all the entries from the bank are done for you and your next bank reconcilation is very easy. It can take you only 5 minutes.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of step to do simple things. Entering a bill can take you more time that you were used to. Your first bank recocilation is really hard to do. You need to know all the entries done in the account so you can be able to do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my company it was a pain balancing the intercompany accounts and with Intacct is really simple since the account is being balance with every entry.

Intacct's multiple dimensions allow us to track multiple departments across multiple locations and much more
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we have not seen many downsides to using Intacct. Perhaps the lack of very simple, standardized reporting could be a flaw for users who have less experience in accounting could be an area of improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problems we use Intacct to solve are tracking multiple departments across multiple locations for various reports users, all while using the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have someone who understands accounting in general, and the organization's needs/desires in detail and is capable of matching those things together. We were able to get a less expensive implementation package due to having the appropriate accounting expertise in-house along with having a very well-documented objective to meet the organization's needs.
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the ability to utilize imports for the data rather than manually entering individual bills or credit card charges. It is incredibly helpful to have a built-in approval process for posting journal entries, bill payments, and other processes. It ensures that any mistakes are easily discovered before they are posted to the system. The checks and balances is very helpful for onboarding and training new employees in the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features are not as detailed or as easy as I'm used to with QuickBooks. Additionally, I find that I have a more difficult time editing or changing transactions after they've been posted in the system. However, I believe that as I grow more accustomed to the software, I will understand more of the processes and pathways.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intacct is very helpful in balancing the books at the end of each month. The biggest benefit has been its compatibility with our other systems, making daily processes easier. ACH, EFTs, check printing, and payroll data entry are all incredibly quick and easy thanks to Intacct. We've also been able to clean up our W9 and 1099 processes with our ability to upload documents and create folders. The organization has enabled us to rely less on paper and digitize our systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Intacct is wonderful for larger companies with a considerable amount of financial transactions. You should definitely consider it if you'd like to link the software to other products you use for banking or bill pay and streamline your processes.

The reports are really helpful. They show what is going on in a clear way.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you have to keep logging in every few hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
solving having things left unpaid, because it clearly shows what you paid and what you didn't - and it shows how and when.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They should invest in Intacct as it will be a huge benefit to them in the long term.

Running reports is hit-or-miss and oftentimes very slow; the system's inability to handle all of our data

The ability to generate specific information for our various business segments

What do you like best about the product?
Timesheet can be filled from by duplicating previous weeks timesheets
What do you dislike about the product?
interface could be better for Expensesheets. Attaching document is bit confusing . can be made better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to keep track of hours for team they put in for each project and can help to itemize project cost east to calculate.

Great platform to keep track of resources and project expenses
Excellent "written for the web" accounting software
What do you like best about the product?
Multi-dimensional accounting system written for the web. Has a great user interface and excellent reporting capabilities. Importing and exporting to XL from just about any screen. Lots of great "add ins" such as EFT manager and Allocations. Recurring journals, prepayments and fixed assets all improve accounts teams efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some "core" features come at an extra cost (eg the newly released custom report writer).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-company, multi-dimension accounting system. Moving from a poor accounting system to a fully functioning one. Streamlined the accounts function and reduced headcount.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
High value, quick to implement software. Make sure you spend time designing a good chart of accounts and understanding which dimensions you want to report on and which accounts you want to make these dimensions mandatory.
This program helped us move from paper to electronic which will eventually speed up the process.

You can't lose track of important documents, and have a trail of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a lot of communication that can help such as why something was disapproved and what next steps need to be to correct it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The terms and processes are different from our current system, so it is taking some adjusting to. It is also hard to find things. The benefit is having all documents together and status is clear.

The format of each module helps for quicker access.

The processing time its one of the weakness of the program.

Building reports has become easier with Sage. It saves time when a new report is requested.
