Sage Intacct Review
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to allocate expenses between service lines and accounts so that we can generate our internal reporting without the need for extensive excel files. It has also been beneficial to be able to run Cash and Accrual books concurrently to cover our various internal and external reporting requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search functionality requires you to match the beginning of the item you are searching for rather than any keyword match, which can sometimes make searching for vendors/clients/account codes more difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have transitioned away from excel as our primary reporting tool and are now using primarily Intacct with excel as a supplement. This has allowed us to avoid potential user errors and be more confident that the data is correct.
Using this software has made our accounting practices much easier.
What do you like best about the product?
That staff are able to enter reimbursement requests, time sheets and invoices. The software can interface with other products that we use like Salesforce and Bill.com
What do you dislike about the product?
When upgrades are made it is like I have to learn everything from scratch. Sometimes it is difficult to manipulate a report to include the information that is needed for grant reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staff time tracking to make it easier to track restricted grant fund releases. Time is saved by staff entering their reimbursements directly and not requiring account staff to manually enter reimbursements from paper forms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will help with improving internal accounting systems and processes.
Multi-entity environment
What do you like best about the product?
I'm able view, post, adjust, and manage multiple locations from our headquarters.
What do you dislike about the product?
A good understanding of the transaction flow is vital because the system can be restrictive in some aspects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see and troubleshoot, as necessary, multiple locations.
Effective with some caveats
What do you like best about the product?
Reporting flexibility and level of detail are great. The dashboards can be highly customized and therefore are informative. Customer and account support are very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system has massive functionality but this also can lead to some confusion and efficiency issues for simple items or small accounting teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a non-profit we need to track funds and restrictions very closely. Intacct has allowed us to do that. Additionally, the integrations that we have been able to include have added to our process efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you press you implementer on all the capability and to define the processes that you should/would use in your day to day, this will shorten the learning curve.
Intacct is very good for reporting purposes
What do you like best about the product?
I like the possibility of uploading templates, and all the different reports that can be run to obtain info

The Customer Statement, sometimes the customer service

It saves time
We have had a very good experience using Intacct.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the dashboards. Once setup correctly I can see the information I would like to see on a daily basis in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the AR related JE transactions do not show up in the AR Ledger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking AR. With one report I can see who still owes us money on by dashboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think the Sage Intacct is a very user friendly system .
Can't go wrong
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility in using Inacct is amazing. I'm not spending hours trying to make corrections. If I want to see a report in a specific manner, it's generally a quick "duplicate and save as". Having worked in MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, MRI....this is by far the easiest, most flexible software out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial set up of reports can be cumbersome. But what's they're created, it's amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct has saved us TIME. I am forever grateful for the time I've saved allowing for time to spend on forward looking accounting issues.

I love the versatility within the modules
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that the modules do not communicate well with each other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved a lot of the issues with Purchase Requisitions not being done properly better streamlining our processes
Best decision we have ever made in changing from our old finance system into Intacct.
What do you like best about the product?
How robust and easy it is to run report. They way that you can add or delete information before you run the report. There is no need to export reports to excel to manually modify them and add information and calculations you need or delete information that you simply do not need. This saves you a lot of time. Whenever I'm asked for a report, my supervisors do not need to wait long to get the information that they have requested. The satisfaction of knowing that our board members feel secure and happy with the reports presented to them, that they are able to understand them and that we do not have the need to be manually modifying them that is priceless. Being able to process deposits in the system in a short period of time, without having to fight with the system because you do not know if its frozen or thinking in processing your request. Happy to be able to see system updates run smooth without the fear of it crashing down and not be able to use the system for weeks. Yes Intacct has been amazing!!!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
the bank cloud option doesn't give you many bank options to choose from. They should definitely add local banks too. That we do not have the availability to make inter company transactions on the AR side. If we make transfers between our bank accounts, we would have to on Intact do an AR transaction using bank gl and a miscellaneous gl. then we have to creat a JE one to cancel the entry to the miscellaneous gl and the other one to the other bank used. This is just too many steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
so far we have no problems with the system other than the AR between two banks should be available and more banking options for the automatic bank reconciliation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using Sage 50 and are having some of the issues i have mentioned before, then most definitely Intacct is a great option to upgrade to. This system is cloud based and it has so much potential. You will be so happy if you change.
Don't worry about transactions
What do you like best about the product?
Sega Intacct is the most reliable and user friendly application that is equipped with amazing features which help me not only in handling the finance related activities of our organizations, but also I am at ease to manage the vendors. It is very simple in its installation and its interface is built in a unique way; you can easily customize it search engine as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Couple of time I have faced issue in the report generation , in terms of transactions, I am unable to delete some transactions that have been added and even sometimes at great need I am unable to find the right information about the vendor details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most important thing is, it is very good in pricing and allows us to work independently. It has saved our time by automating the work approvals and audit controls. We are getting much benefit from its ability to create workflows and approval processes that help us ultimately to directly send the ACH files directly to our banks
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool has been designed in such a way that it will fulfill the need of the small to medium size business setups. It is very reasonable in cost and provides you a free hand to work on remote basis as well. We will surely recommend this tool for better handling the vendors and you can always have a transparent idea about the financial status of the organization.
