Flexible and Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has been great for our organization, in just a few short years we have nearly tripled in size and Intacct has scaled with us. Sage Intacct's tracking of inter company activity has been a life saver and its seamless consolidation has been very helpful. The program is very flexible and versatile to our expanding and ever changing needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
our implementation did not go so well, but once we were set up and live their professional services team helped us pick up the pieces and get us moving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allo our accounting and reporting needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will not be disappointing in Sage Intacct. The program, the community, the support, it has been great working with Sage Intacct.
Excellent, simple and easy to use financial reports.
What do you like best about the product?
Online approval of purchase orders, invoices and checks preparation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Additional license cost of assigning approvers for accounts payable transactions and checks approval. It becomes too costly to have a license for each approver.

Easy to use financial reporting.
Great system for accountants
What do you like best about the product?
Since our company has grown from one entity to multiple, Sage really is the best solution to handle a multi entity environment where the entities might share costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as intuitive as our previous accounting system. You really need to have a strong background in accounting to understand how to use Sage effectively.
I also am not a fan of banking information not being fed (yet) directly into Sage. It seems like adding all the transactions begs for mistyping or not adding information.

I did not take advantage of the Fundamentals training when I started with Sage. I am doing it now, but I wish I had before we went live.

It's a robust accounting system for accountants.
Exceeds expectatons
What do you like best about the product?
Dimensions are a unique and extremely useful tool for creating reports of exactly what is important to you. The API and the abilityto use other best of class SaaS companies is a big plus as well. We have never experienced down time. Working remotely in the cloud is a much smoother experience than using a VPN to access a program on an on-site server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The help process can drag out a bit. It would be nice to get quicker answers with IM. When we set up our chart of accounts we were not warned that our use of trailing zeros would prevent up-loading functionality from working. We use ####.### format.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business has multiple distinct product lines that operate very differently and need software that is industry specific, but in the end all of those disparate systems will be able to feed into Intacct. We needed a robust system that would grow with our company and provide superb functionality without killing us with the cost.

We used vendor services to implement, if I were to do it again I would work with a 3rd party consultant.
Put data in the hands of decisions makers with ease!
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct dashboards are a God send. It's easy to create and update dynamic graphical and nongraphical dashboards for any data set.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle to come up with anything material as a downside with Sage Intacct.
One minor thing is that Sage Intacct uses import templates instead of a UI to map data to existing data fields however this would be a "nice to have".

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to get actionable data into the hands of decision makers quickly and accurately. Example: My boss, the CEO, no longer comes into my office asking for financial information since she has her own dashboard, which she refers to constantly. She thinks I'm a rockstar!

Take a look at the dashboards and the PO workflows.

Improved accounting processes by providing automation solutions.

There's a lack of bulk data update functionality. It's there but it doesn't work well because there's no template available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AR and AP automation. Improved controls with user / role permissions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out the immediate as well as future need of the company and come up with a roadmap. It'll help with implementation.
Collaborative tool for today's distributed office and business
What do you like best about the product?
We can use the best people to work in the Finance no matter where they are located.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to learn details about aspects or modules available in Sage Intacct in a hands on manner. It is all available for reading or in very general way. But getting details about how it might work in our situation is difficult to find out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global business and currency conversions are a snap. We have the best teams working from anywhere, all at the same time. Audits are easier and often can be fully completed remotely. Timelier and timelier month end closings.
Very efficient and helpful software for our finance team
What do you like best about the product?
Sage intacct is a very powerful accounting software. Our dept has been using for more than 5 years. We really love it. We like the software has different modules we use a lot such as AR, Order entry, AP, Time and expense, etc. All are pretty easy to use. No need much training about it

When they upgrade/update the system, it is hard to find where the original things since some time the name might be little different

Easy to do the AP and AR aging report. Overall, the system is easy to get familiar to use. When we transited the old date to Intacct, not take too long for us to complete

Some features are not optimal and need to be refined
