Sage Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to do grant accounting accurately.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to get the reports we need has been difficult. The inability to customize the beginning date in a reporting field has been problematic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sate Intacct product helps us track expenses for grant accounting more accurately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sage Intacct does most things very well. there is room for improvement in ease of reporting and budgeting.

What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has outstanding dimensional structure and logical, clear navigation of operation. It is well-designed for the seasoned accountant to the members of management that may come from non-business backgrounds.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was free to all? There a few reporting structures that get a bit complicated to create.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The previous system was not cloud-based contributing to technical reliability issues ... problem solved. The previous system had limitations in dimensional accounting and poor reporting capabilities ... problems solved.

Sage Intacct fit perfectly with our increasing complexity and growth in size and scope.
Newbie - Surprisingly Pleased
What do you like best about the product?
Impressed with the depth of all the modules and that our organization will not outgrow it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ability to sort in certain columns, reporting can be challenging, reconciliation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to get an overview of expense/budget
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to understand dimensions compared to standard COA - it takes some time to grasp; clean up COA for implementation; allow more time in stage one than suggested.

What do you like best about the product?
-Cloud based: I can access anytime and anywhere
-Reporting capability: The reporting function is powerful and we can customize difference reports to fit our business needs.
-Permission and control: Intacct allowed me give me the proper access to different level of staff in the firm so everyone should be only seeing what's relevant to them.
-Allocation feature: Allocation table is available to allocate in AP and journal entry with just one click of a button. This saves me a lot of time now that I don't have to calculation manually
-Dimension: The dimension feature allow me to organize, sort, and report on the transaction in a efficient way. This also eliminates the use the long chart of accounts. The reporting using dimension is also meaningful for us.

There are some features available in one module but not the other. For example, I can customize a email template for invoices but not AR statements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The greatest benefit was dimension for one of my client. They were creating new GL accounts every time there is a department added. Thus, they have a very long chart of account. With dimension, they can just one GL account and pick the department.

Intacct is an innovative cloud based accounting system that can provide a lot of customizable solution for your company's growth. We work with a wide range of industries at different scale, Intacct is the perfect solution since it can easily handle growing numbers of users, and transactions, or entities.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoyed the partner sessions. The open discussions with other leaders of the Company has been helpful to know others are facing similar challenges regardless of the size and number of employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some technical classes were a little difficult to follow if you did not have the prior experience using the module. I would probably select my sessions a little more differently the next year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The opportunity to connect face to face some of the Intacct experts has helped me to resolve some issues I was having with invoicing or financial reporting.
A simple review from a simple man
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy it is to use Intacct. Very easy to streamline processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how you can't pro-rate fixed assets or prepaid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the need for an ERP system and to record things outside of excel. We are able to accomplish this with Intacct.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Sage Intacct to stop charging more for modules and improve on the existing features. I also recommend them to look at how they are rolling out features. Having the community to "vote" causes users to not go through any feature recommendations.
This is not the most stable system
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is easy to use and works great when it's not slow or locked up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Locks up and is slow at times. We are on a server and that affects the speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a good accounting software if they would fix the bugs.
Great platform
What do you like best about the product?
Backup documents attached to every transaction. Fast reports and data download.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cash reconciliations. Add ins Platforms that required additional charges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Paperless. Segregation of duties. Internal control.
Great overall product, implementation was difficult (used a TPA)
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to define user roles and what each role is and is not able to see. The reporting functionality has also been incredibly helpful for reporting timely information to our board as well as the executive team in order to drive more timely decision making.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search functionality within Intacct is very difficult to use and at times does not display anything at all. Within Quickbooks (our prior system) we were able to easily search by amount, vendor, account, date, etc and that functionality is not available currently within Intacct.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to decrease our month end close process from more than 15 days to 6. More timely/detailed reporting and faster decision making by our executives. Multi-dimensional reporting using projects, items, department, customer, etc. to be able to run detailed reports at each of these levels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your research and get the project that works best for your organization. I would use Sage Intacct to build your system rather than a third party administrator as they will be better equipped to answer any issues with the system after you go live.
