Don't build it yourself - use Frontegg!

What do you like best about the product?
The technology itself is phenomenal and allows us to focus on building the parts of our SaaS product that make us different instead of having to develop and support features that are non-differentiating for us. Equally important, though, is the excellent customer support and experience we have working with the Frontegg team! Frontegg just works! Don't waste your time as a startup or any type of company building these services yourself - focus on what makes your beer taste better and leave everything else to the capable hands of the Frontegg team.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have been using Frontegg since they first came out of stealth and have had no negative experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frontegg provides critical services that our enterprise customers require and using their services mean we don't have to build and maintain those services ourselves.

Offload Your User Management

What do you like best about the product?
Frontegg provided a full solution to wasted engineering effort on rebuilding the same user management features every SaaS on the planet has. We decided to gut our application's user management and integrate with Frontegg and having looked back.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some integration issues that were mostly specific to our applications original architecture. Expected to be integrated and live in 4 weeks, took 6.

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent and easy integration, great support and a lot of flexibility in the product - an out-of-the-box zero code solutions to many of the problems
What do you dislike about the product?
Not Found, They have solution to most of the things and handle bugs quickly.

Frontegg provides us a flexible authentication & user management platform with great support

What do you like best about the product?
Frontegg reduces our team's work around authentication and user management. I'll cover more specifics in a later part of the review, but they make it easy to integrate with a variety of authentication workflows. Once the application is integrated, they provide backoffice functionality with either their UI or API. This lets us have the flexibility of choosing our customer auth experience while also providing flexibility in how we implement our backoffice operations.

Their customer support is fantastic. They’ve helped out with a few general implementation questions, been responsive to feedback, had a clear external-facing ticket tracking system, and helped investigate bugs/implementation issues to help us solve problems effectively. When I had technical questions, I found their free Slack community to be a helpful supplement to their documentation. I could ask questions in Slack, and the team would stay on top of issues to help me get to the solution I needed. The Frontegg team really helped me solve my auth problems quickly so I could move on and work on other features. Thanks, Frontegg team!
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I can’t think of much I dislike about my experience. I’ve hit a few implementation issues from my end, or because I didn’t understand the documentation, but I found a bunch of help from their Slack community and their Support team since we’re a paying customer. I probably could have reached out to them sooner to discover that I could lean on more resources than their published documentation. And that learning curve is to be expected with any software integration that I need to build — what matters is that Frontegg makes it easy to resolve those issues. Anyways, I’m looking forward to seeing what new features they build to extend our functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned earlier: authentication and user management are areas of the product we want to be done right (without worrying about it too much). And there are numerous components to user management we don’t need to build ourselves because Frontegg took care of it for us. Beyond authentication/MFA: user management, session management, IDP/SSO integration, temporary API token generation, etc. It’s also helpful that they’re continually upgrading, so we don’t have to worry about staying on top of the latest implementation details.

What do you like best about the product?
Frontegg enables us to provide contemporary authN and authZ solutions. Audit logs, MFA, SSO and ready-made log-in and sign-up screens are ready to go in seconds. Frontegg's solution saved us a lot of engineering time and energy. Additionally, the developer success team is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the documentation provides a lot of coverage and seems fairly updated, we did run into instances where it lacked enough information for us to implement certain features independently. Having said that, the Frontegg team was so responsive that we achieved our goals in no time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frontegg solves all our IAM needs in the context of our SaaS application. It comes with many features out of the box and provides a flexible API for more nuanced use cases.

What do you like best about the product?
Great feature set for multi-tenant products, fast support response. Great availability. It works like a partner and doesn't feel like buying a 3rd party system.
What do you dislike about the product?
APIs have weird patterns and are inconsistent. The SDK is hard and confusing to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having multi-tenant SSO, MFA, among other things.

What do you like best about the product?
Frontegg offers robust functionality for auth(n) and auth(z) out of the box. Their UI is intuitive and easy-to-use and their API is well-documented which has made it easy for our team to integrate with Frontegg.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frontegg overally is great and has no major drawbacks. If in the future they could have more robust auth(z) capabilities for declarative permissions, that would be awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a brittle, in-house system for handling auth(n) and auth(z) and we are migrating to Frontegg as our new authentication provider to reduce internal overhead

Amazing platform with the best support team

What do you like best about the product?
Frontegg was one of the easiest technical decisions we've made. The platform has all the features we need to reduce a tremendous amount of work on our side so we can focus on our business needs and not on building an auth platform. The technical team is responsive and available for any questions we had while evaluating, migrating and using the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike about Frontegg. The only constructive feedback I could give is some of the frontend integrations could be documented better. Still, you can get answers to everything between the support and community channels very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're taking advantage of a lot of Frontegg features --The social login, SSO and MFA. Prehooks and webhooks to seamlessly integrate internal semantics with user metadata. The self-service Admin Portal and IDP integration with tooling like our developer portal.

Multi-tenant Multi-featured Auth

What do you like best about the product?
Frontegg specializes in making multi-tenant auth easy to use. I hand-rolled my app's auth on AWS for several years, and it was a headache -- but then Frontegg came along. They offer the modern features I need in an easy-to-consume way. They have great quick tech/dev support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frontegg is a new company and moves quickly to release updates. Their main issue is that their documentation doesn't always keep up with their quick release cycles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frontegg's bread and butter is multi-tenant authentication and authorization. This user management system also has a wonderful, feature-rich GUI that allows for quick iteration on login screens.

What do you like best about the product?
Much simpler than the platform tools (cognito, oauth), focuses on getting the job done without a million config options

UI isn't quite as polished as others, though the customer facing aspects (login, portal etc) are fine

Authentication and authorization. Used hosted login forms which integrate very easily with React. We use their API for backend auth
