Simcenter 3D Simulation review
What do you like best about the product?
In This software the modal creation is very easy and very handy and it is similar to other kind of simulation software

The training material of the software is very limited as well as very less people know about it

creation of the model is very easy and it is easy to analyse also

Too many licensing tools.....they should sum up to fewer modules to reduce confusion

It is very user friendly and enabling the user ease, also graphics works well

It gives realistic view of your designed product hence it will help us to take decision in certain aspects
A tool intergrating advanced 3D modeling & CAE
What do you like best about the product?
All functions in designing a product are put into one tool, from 3D modeling, preprocessing in CAE to post -processing. Other tools do not have all capabilities into one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced meshing techniques should be added into simcenter 3D. User Interface is complex & it can be made better to understand. Detailed online tutorials would be more useful.

I am using it to perform CAE simulations.

process from model to simulation is very clear, easy to mesh

mesh complex model is not easy, the mesh quality is bad and can't easy to control

parallel solver seems not available or results not good in CFD, fortunately series solving speed can be acceptable, the results can match measurement well
Effective and very useful tool for engineering analysis

Short Videos tutorial available are very helpful and with its improved simulation features, working across different engineering problems have become smooth.

Pricing seems to be High for individuals but trial version given are bit helpful.

User friendly interface and very comprehensive tool to do finite element analysis and mesh analysis

Extensive Siemens support and more tutorials can be more helpful

Mostly FEA and linear Static analysis
User Since 2003 I saw evolution from Advanced Simulation to Simcenter 3D
What do you like best about the product?
Simcenter 3D is aligned with model-based system engineering since the beginning from the master model approach(the most Powerful CAD ever) until today's multi-physics(Mechanical, Thermal, Electromagnetics, Multibody Dynamics, Control, and lumped parameters simulation features with AMESIM link)
What do you dislike about the product?
Softwares like Recurdyn have more powerful MBD capabilities in flexible contact, primitive contact options, control modeling, and meshless CFD. I agree that control modeling could be improved with an interface directly on simcenter 3D. Using AMESIM or Matlab to model control is expensive because of the extra AMESIM or MATLAB seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me is excellent to manage the complexity of large structures and the Simcenter 3D is excellent to cut repetitive modeling tasks like mesh generation in a couple of hours.
