Powerful Cost-Cutting: Scheduled Rebalancing and Granular Cost Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
all of the cost cutting features like the scheduled rebalancing feature, and the analytics to see what each resources costs in a granular way.
What do you dislike about the product?
From past experience, the workload autoscaler (VPA) has been hit or miss with some of our workloads that have bursty usage, like large file uploads, causing the pod to restart and the upload to fail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost-savings and compute usage efficiency had been our biggest concern before and now it's well maintained by castai through rebalancing, spot instances, etc. Next, we're excited about exploring the use of OMNI to obtain access to high-end GPUs.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s been very helpful for streamlining our tech stack and optimizing our pipeline, making our overall workflow feel much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product itself is great. That said, I’d appreciate a few adjustments to the UI, along with some optimization to make the menu navigation smoother and more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned before, it has helped us become more optimized and efficient overall, making our workflow smoother and more consistent.
Effortless Optimization with CAST AI
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly easy to use and manage. Provides good visibility of all the workloads and what it does. Makes it simpler to select proper node sizes and types, as it can be handled automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some bugs and quirks. Not all functions work right away but support team is responsive and helpful with solving the issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated scaling, working better than the native one, and choosing the most efficient instance types, including spots.

nitial setup and fine-tuning can be a bit complex, and deeper visibility into optimization decisions would make it even better.

Cast AI helps optimize Kubernetes infrastructure costs by automatically right-sizing nodes and scaling workloads efficiently. This reduces cloud spend, improves resource utilization, and saves our team time on manual monitoring and optimization.
Saves Time Managing Kubernetes Resources and Cuts Costs
What do you like best about the product?
Gain some time to maintain the kubernetes cluster. We all don't have time to adjust the resource correctly. Cast do that and help us to understand more what each resource need really. It's help us with cost saving too, but human time is really more interesting
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is still "new", sometime, we have some simple problem that they didn't have it before, but they are in generaly reactive about it .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resource management in kubernetes cluster. It help me to paid less with better efficiency.
Superb Support and a Great New Cluster Optimization Feature
What do you like best about the product?
Their support is superb, with a monthly call that helps keep things on track. I also appreciate the new feature for managing and optimizing workload.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, everything has looked good overall. However, the Workload Optimisation could be improved, as we’ve been having some difficulties with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The workload autoscaler is something we don’t have to manage ourselves, which has been a big help. It also delivers cost savings by optimizing our Kubernetes nodes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how CAST AI calculates the cost on a daily basis and provides insightful financial granularity. This helps me catch spending spikes in real time and manage my services effectively to prevent bill shock. The new console UI is friendly and easy to use, which simplifies handling complex Kubernetes data. I love how it turns these complexities into a one-click executive dashboard for effortless FinOps management. Setting it up was very easy, even without much previous experience, making my transition to using CAST AI smooth and problem-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to believe in the product and the trustworthiness of the data it provides. More cost-accurate calculations are needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use CAST AI for cost monitoring and cluster configuration. It helps me track high or low costs, manage services, stop bill shock with daily insights, and simplify Kubernetes data into an easy dashboard for FinOps management.
Efficient Autoscaling with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the node templates concept and bin packing feature of CAST AI. The rebalancing feature is also impressive. With node templates, I find it much more flexible compared to managing nodes via GCP nodepools, where we could only choose one machine type. The bin packing and rebalancing features help save us money. The initial setup of CAST AI was easy and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the Terraform modules need improvement. We have reported a bug. Bin packing and evictor need some improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use CAST AI for cluster and workload autoscaling in production, mainly for cost-saving. It solves bin packing and allows flexibility with node templates and rebalancing features, which save us money.
Effortless Compute Management with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I find CAST AI easy to use and the dashboard is great as it provides a centralized view in one place. When we onboard a cluster, we can see cost trends, the node list, and spot on-demand options at a glance. I also appreciate that the CAST AI team is very supportive. They are ready to add custom features for specific needs like GPU and TPU support. Overall, I think it's a great team and a great product, and I'm very happy with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features, like GCP sole tenant, are very basic and not customizable. They could improve on their Terraform.

CAST AI optimizes compute allocation based on application usage and public cloud pricing. It provides a centralized dashboard showing cost trends and node lists, and the team supports custom features.
