What do you like best about the product?
I like the log searching ability as well as the appsec scanning. I would like to learn. more about the new feaures rolled out

when the app sec feature was originally rolled out it wasnt really integrated well with the platform. I assume it is better now. And the pricing for sensitive data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Log management and it helps triaging alerts
Pretty good out of the box solution, but it comes with a price.
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of out of the box integrations, overall good usability. Cover a big range of necessary observability for your applications and all integrated in one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is pretty high (you pay more to monitor a small k8s ec2 node than the ec2 itself), and I found it hard to pick what you want to measure using Kubernetes integration granularly. Sometimes it is hard to understand how your billing is calculated, and it also charges you multiple times for "same stuff" since it cannot automatically detect integrations. (Ex.: you are charged for AWS node monitoring + k8s node monitoring of the same ec2 instance!). Didn`t like the commercial support either; they only care until they sell it to you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Observability and traceability of cloud microservices. With its comprehensive set of tools and integrations, it enables end-to-end monitoring of your stack.

What do you like best about the product?
It is supported by every cloud solution with excellent integrations and documentation that is relatively easy and accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a little bit high as seen from an individual or a startup perspective but it does its job amazingly, it's actually worth the money you spend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Monitoring and keeping track of data in amazingly visualized forms such as graphs and tables are quite easy to understand and take action on it.
- Multiple applications can be configured on the same platform as it is quite easily accessible too.

If you haven't applied any monitoring tool for your website or application, you must do this asap.
DataDog is a very good first line of monitoring for most situations
What do you like best about the product?
At ODB we have been happy with the performance and flexibility of DataDog to adapt to monitor and report. We've been able to point it at many critical infrastructure points and receive very quick notifications when there is an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been complaints about the interface on DataDog and some of the screens. There seems to be very little that one can do to change the look and feel to their liking. Some of the reports are not as detailed for some of the leadership's liking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDog is helping our ministry monitor and notify of any outages of issues within and without, pertaining to critical infrastructure. This includes AWS instances, buckets, as well as physical device monitoring.

What do you like best about the product?
Installation and management of datadog was easy. It has enhanced features like mail alerting, pictorial representation of statistics gathered from servers in cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only suggestion i would give is to improve the UI of datadog to make it more user friendly as sometimes its confusing. Also, would be helpful if the documentation regarding the use of datadog is made more available to users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring of severs hosted in cloud. Cost was slightly less compared to other products in the market. Query log insights feature was useful to build graphs.

- As it is agent based, by installing an agent we can get most of the data in Datadog UI
- Datadog is user-friendly and easy to learn.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike in Datadog but I feel the Datadog needs to increase more documentation and videos to configure the application and infra monitoring and Datadog should show live billing of the used data and should show the billing according to the services we used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Datadog helped me to show all infra level and application level consumptions from monitors, whenever the threshold is reached, I will get a mail and ticket as I configured Datadog with SNOW so it helped me to prioritize the work.
- Using Datadog live processes I can see the consumption of all the applications so that I can make required changes in the server/application.
- Using Datadog SLA - I can show the percentage of uptime of all the servers and applications to clients.
- using live logs, I can able to check the errors in the Datadog portal instead of login in to the server.

I have implemented datadog in my organization. it's very good for infra and cloud monitoring. when it comes to the application there is lots of manual configuration req'd based on technology.so people can understand the terminology.

they do not have on-prem.

What do you like best about the product?
Datadog has allowed our organization to equip our various teams with more data, allows our teams to more easily track different trends, and creates the opportunity for better tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are aspects that are harder for some users to pick up and immediately utilize. This is most likely - in large part - due to our current implementation and less directly related to Datadog itself, but the tool could provide more options for direction throughout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datadog allows us to create dashboards and log reports that can then be easily run by various members of our team. This allows us to keep an eye on key core processes to ensure that things continue to run smoothly across the different aspects of our services.
DataDog is the best platform for IT alerts
What do you like best about the product?
It's fast, almost not outages copmared to other platforms, I like that it can also be implented in other softwares (such as Slack) so users can be alerted on time!
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform itself is a bit too messy, not the best UX, also its app won't work as expected. They should improve it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring servers and pools - it gives alerts once the pools are off or also on while there is no use for then!
