Very good tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the support it has for various apps. I like to be able to quickly navigate from the artifacts, registry, and file-system view. Tagging is really simple with this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a few features added. I would like to be able to navigate to the file-system view and highlight a certain pathway and review the artifacts in a thumbnail view. This would be extremely helpful in child exploitation cases. I would also like to see a preview feature at some point where we can add a device and simply review the evidence before processing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Magnet has been able to see certain file systems other tools have not. I have also been able to recover unallocated data that some other tools may not have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Purchase outrider as well as Axiom if it is within the budget to do so.
Magnet Forensics is constantly improving tools and the customer service is best in industry.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Magnet is a one-stop-shop for all forensic needs. I can purchase cloud tools, computer forensic tools, report management systems as well as other essential tools from one vendor.
What do you dislike about the product?
The costs have increased each year over the last couple years. This has made it more difficult in planning budgets. I understand the need for increasing costs, it would just be helpful to know they are coming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Magnet is offering a user friendly forensic tool at a competitive price point. I am able to bring in newer examiners and train them in Magnet products in a much shorter period of time.
Best All-in-one digital forensics platform
What do you like best about the product?
Axiom Cyber by Magnet Forensics is probably the most robust and best priced digital forensics aquisition and analysis platrom. Many licensing options, can host it on prem or cloud, acquire various OS-s, types of devices, cloud locations, very straight forward interface for new users.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes or anything missing. Axiom Cyber is a really well rounded prodcut. The only option I'd like to have is ability to pre-deploy endpoint agents enterprise-wide
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Off network enterprise data collections and not having to buy a separate tool for mobile device collections
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of the 30-day free POC, bring own use cases to demo
Magnet forensics
What do you like best about the product?
Magnet Forensic is a new player in digital forensics. It provides tools that are useful for data analysis in criminal investigations. While the tools aren't perfect and could be improved, they are user fiendly and well made. It's much better than what we currently use (FTK, Encase). I like the support we received from Kayla and the solution consultant at Magnet Forensic, to evaluate our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tried Axiom. There are things I like and things I dislike. Like FTK, the tool does struggle when there is a lot of data. There should be a way to cancel tasks that takes more than 5 seconds. (because I'll do something else; filter more; etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing data from internet history (IEF; replaced by Axiom). Timeline analysis on everything at once (all computers, mobile devices, etc.). We also use DVR Examiner, which was made by DME Forensics. It's a nice tool to get video data from DVR systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try Axiom. It's a good tool. Easy to use and learn.
Magnet Review
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and range of options and tools, as well as the integration of multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is somewhat high, but overall we use multiple Magnet tools, including Axiom and Atlas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Forensic Examination and integrated reporting greatly increase efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool. A must have.
D/Cst.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use - Support - Sales - Training -
What do you dislike about the product?
The Initial Cost - For newer products like Atlas
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ongoing APP decoding
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the Training.
Great Company / Software
What do you like best about the product?
AXIOM is great for internet based cases, as well as quickly viewing videos. Also, customer support is always wuick to respond and answer any question we've had.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading an extraction from Graykey is a little confusing, AXIOM works fine with it...but making sure it is done in the right steps is a concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing in particular, mostly because how we do things in our offic works great for us and we have not reached out for anything as far as workflow, storage, etc.
Magnet Forensics-Licensed User
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy how easy it is to navigate the software. From day 1, before training it was user intuitive. I especially enjoy using the Cloud acquisition tool in ICAC investigations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many downsides, customer service is great and so is the online support procedure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Magnet for me is solving the problem of needing a seperate software for hard drive imaging and analyzing. With Magnet Axiom, it's all in one for hard drives. It also helps with exporting media in a project VICS format.
The software advertises what it does and more. Great tool for digital forensics.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best about the software is how the data is displayed. I also like the relations portion of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is noting I dislike about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have some feature request they are looking into for the macOS forensic portion.
A must-have in your forensics toolset
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of artifacts parsers that are available by default with Magnet Axiom Cyber (+ the capabilities to add those shared by the community or even those that you develop yourself). I could also mention the fact that the software allows us to proceed to all of the required steps for an investigation: Acquire evidence (either locally or remotely), process and parse artifacts and investigate.
Their team is there for us when we have specific needs or ideas (or if we need support), we are dealing with humans that care about their users and it's worth mentioning.
Their team is there for us when we have specific needs or ideas (or if we need support), we are dealing with humans that care about their users and it's worth mentioning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when working with large evidence/cases, there could be some bug that forces us to restart the client. It mostly happens with "Magnet Axiom Examine" and not with "Magnet Axiom Process" - which is a "good" thing as the "acquire" and "process" phases are reliable. It's just the viewer that sometimes has a hard time when we have millions of artifacts in the case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through the usage of their solutions, we can quickly acquire evidence for any cyber incidents and parse artifacts so in the space of a few minutes it's possible for us to get a quick view of what's happening. Also, an interesting portion is the automation product (Magnet Automate) that will help us automatically acquire/process a forensics package when there is a detection/alert so can get fresh data when the incident happens, not hours after. Automating those kinds of actions is a problem solver for us.
