FourKites is my one stop shop for all my shipment tracking needs!
What do you like best about the product?
The FourKites platform is very easy to use. It allows me to track all my companies shipments without having to go out to each individual carrier's site.
What do you dislike about the product?
FourKites has a lot of information and data / graphs available for you to analyze. Some of the analysis can be very useful while other information is not. Some of the graphs can be confusing at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are receiving real time tracking on our shipments which allows us to better serve our customer's needs.
Ability to track detention
What do you like best about the product?
Fourkites has the ability to get real time alerts when detention is occurring. This allows us to contact our customers right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't too much reporting available without the additional cost of the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detention, ability to notify customers immediately if a load is running behind.
Tracking when you need it most!
What do you like best about the product?
Fourkites allows for tracking when carriers are not directly available via phone such as overnight or even through time differences around the country during lunch hours. As a tracker working overnight, it was not always possible to get updates as my position required me to do so for our client. With Fourkites, I'm able to track loads in next to real time, any time!
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been times that geofencing or other issues have happened where Fourkites provided arrival and departures for loads that did not deliver.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, the ability to track loads without communicating directly with a person with the carrier is extremely helpful through conflicts in time differences or overnight. The ability to easily view loads that may be at risk more proactively is helpful as well. There have been times that carriers have provided an unrealistic update over the phone however with Fourkites I'm able to see where the load actually is and reschedule appointments as needed rather than after the carrier misses a delivery appointment at our customer. Four kites is helpful with the filters and search options that allow you to filter by carrier and a wide variety of other filters to narrow down loads to view exactly what you're seeking.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to see exactly where a shipment is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes it takes up to 30min to update a shipment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems with ETA's to customers and helping keep shipments on track for scheduled delivery appointments.
The FourKites platform has been enlightening.
What do you like best about the product?
It allows my company to have accountability to our customers for on-time loads.
What do you dislike about the product?
Trailer tracking is tough. We lease a lot of trailers that don't all have GPS monitoring devices and that throws off our Consistency percentages.

I think the tracking screens are a little bulky and they are not customization

We really like the integrations into our TMS. Fourkites is doing a lot of work that we used to have to do manually
Helps with Accountability from Transportation Partners
What do you like best about the product?
I like that FourKites provides real-time updates along with their geofencing feature, shows when a driver is arriving and departing from a facility. It builds transparency and accountability between brokers and carriers, which is turns helps increase transparency between brokers and their customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
If a driver gets near their destination, but does not actually arrive (i.e. driving down a frontage road passing facility they will be delivering at later) it marks that the driver is on-site, which causes confusion -- have to call the driver for an accurate ETA and location update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of "we said, they said" because the ELD and ETAs are real-time, so we have see problems right as they are happening and diagnose it accordingly. This way, it entices carriers to be on-time and in good standing with their logistics provider. Benefits include being able to focus more on finding and booking freight, rather than trying to reach a driver/dispatcher by telephone to get an update.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize FourKites with a TMS/CRM system that is compatible with add-ons. This way, freight tracking/GPS is built into your current system and allows you to view/edit/utilize everything in one place -- this has been a huge convenience to my company.
FourKites can be connected to outside ELD providers, such as Trucker's Edge and Samsara...however it is dependent on what ELD you transportation partners use -- some older ELDs require a fee to be integrated within FourKites, which makes it hard to use FourKites as a selling point in your business.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, also for the drivers, overview of the platform
What do you dislike about the product?
Tracking doesn't always work for divers with ipad
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking by app cause we dont't have any other system
